Spartan In Star Wars - Chapter 70
Just in case the chapter 68 was posted twice under different names. It is now fixed and chapter 69 is now posted correctly. As an apology here is a bonus chapter.
Deep inside the depths of the jungle of planet Ordo Jack and Lantern decided they wanted to return the favor to their new favorite stalkers. Both of them took sides and set their rifles to stun and waited to make an ambush. Shortly, after finding a good location the three people who were following them showed up and were very quickly neutralized.
The lackl.u.s.ter ambush left the two clones questioning, they were supposed to be on a Mandalorian planet. Yet, these “Mandalorians” were easily neutralized without an actual fight. Searching the belongings of the Mandalorians left the two clones shocked. These stalkers were not native to this planet. They weren’t even natural born Mandalorians; they were Academy students. This mission they were on was supposed to be a test. However, it wasn’t supposed to be a simple test either. Their mission was to kill the two clones. The files they had were extremely detailed and concise.
Whoever had the hit on them had information on the clones and their mission. The main problem being they were members of the Ghost. Very few people are even supposed to know about the Ghost. Even knowing that the two clones were even alive as they are listed in KIA during the battle of Mimban.
“There is a traitor in the Ghost.” Jack sighed and shook his head. Although he knew at some point they had come across internal problems. He didn’t expect it to be so soon. Let alone that the traitors wanted the clones dead. But why? What have the two clones done to deserve death from traitors? Jack could only wonder.
“Are we sure it’s a traitor in the Ghost? Not many even in the Ghost know of our mission?” Lantern looked slightly worried as he kept scanning through the belongings of their now captives.
*Goans* two of the captives started waking up from the stun blast realizing that they were captured they became worried and struggled to free themselves. However, they were expertly tied up and were unable to move.
P.O.V. Diesel
Diesel was standing on one of the new fitted Mandalorian Battleship SS-Avenger. Waiting just inside a neutral zone of space between the two soon to be warring factions showing that they were prepared for battle. Scanning through the files of the current mission objectives of the squads he sent out. Diesel received a call from Jack.
“Sir, I believe we may have a spy in our inner network. On our mission we encountered a group of what we thought were Mandalorians were easily captured without a fight. After going through their belongings we realized that they were academy students sent on a mission to kill us.”
*beep beep*
“Here are the files we found with the information containing detailed information on the operation and us. I’m not exactly sure what the goal is. All I can say is that we were their targets.” The stoic expression on the clones face gave Diesel an idea on what the clones line of thinking was.
“Keep this information to yourself and don’t spread it just rest. After gathering whatever other information you can kill our captives to prevent any sort of leakage and we will use this information to find the traitor. I promise to right now. We have no use for traitors and they won’t be shown mercy.”
Shutting off the projector Diesel pondered for a few moments on who the traitor could be. At least for now the answer wasn’t obvious. Diesel knew at some point they would make a mistake. Traitors always make a mistake. Diesel gathered the data copying the file before changing the contents of the original, before sending it back to Ril’ah.
