Spatial Storage Of All Things Hiatus - Volume 2 Chapter 47 Face Slap
Having even his suicide attempts stopped, Luke began to grow uneasy. He wasn’t afraid of pain, not too much, but he was totally powerless, and this, made him afraid. As he was about to once again suicide, his kidnapper snorted and knocked him out. An unknown amount of time later, Luke was woken up by a sudden burst of pain from his cheeks. He was slapped.
Not opening his eyes as he used his spatial vision to see his surroundings, he perceived a single silhouette within ten meters of him. He was probably on the floor, in a forest as there were trees around.
This time opening his eyes as more slaps came his way, Luke saw his kidnapper who, without his shadow recovering his body, looked just like him. He looked perfectly like him because not only did he have glowing violet eyes, and black hair, even the finest details of his face were the same as his, just slightly more mature.
With eyes as wide as saucers, Luke observed the man incredulously. He was sure that he never saw him before but the resemblance and the sense of familiarity were just too much for him to trust his memories.
As Luke was gawking at him, the man just looked at him with a mixture of pride and disappointment. ” You If you continue like this, you will get yourself killed. ”
” What? What are you talking about? And who are you? How are we related? Why ”
Rising a hand, the man motioned for Luke to shut up, something he unwillingly did.
” No matter what questions you may have, I’m only here to say one thing. I don’t know what you did nor how you did it but two elites were reported to be under an unknown influence and this influence is related to you. You can do whatever you want with nobodies but there are limits and you almost crossed them. ”
‘ Could he be talking about the roads? Hmm, another thing to improve… But they have an idea of what I do yet they do nothing about it? As I thought, this farce of a battlefield is just a meat grinder that serves as a whetting stone. Tsk, they only care about those with potential… This means the universe should either be on the losing side of this war or its inhabitants are just very ruthless. ‘
Still forcefully keeping Luke silent, he added ” Be careful of your actions as there is a limit to the extent you can be protected. I believe you know that you have a special background but it’s not omnipotent. In fact, I shouldn’t even have been talking to you before you reached tier 4 but you were too reckless. Sigh, just remember that: there are limits to everything and you are being watched. Oh, and, kill yourself to go back, this might be a good experience. ”
As he finished speaking, the shadow he appeared with covered him as he disappeared.
Finally able to talk, Luke stayed silent as he was left alone. ‘ And where the f*ck am I now? He didn’t take me back to the battlefield so there must be a special reason I’m in this forest. But seriously, making me suicide after bringing me to a goddamn forsaken place?… ‘ Finished grumbling, Luke looked around and all he saw were endless trees. They were a pitch-black in color.
As he tried to touch them though, he felt his hand corroding. Quickly retracting it, he looked seriously at the trees. They were made of darkness, pure darkness. Activating his dark hand to recover his hand, which is ironically the base use if this spell which he only used once as is, Luke tried to once again touch the tree.
This time, he still felt as if his hand was corroding but not as much as the first time. Seeing that this darkness was quite powerful, he tried to absorb it. To do so, he had to keep his hand inside the tree unfortunately but not only would this make a very valuable research material, he could choose to waste some whenever he absolutely needs to. So, he threw every darkness spells he stored up until now and simply filled his storage space with the maximum amount of darkness he could.
As spending it would be too wasteful, he vowed to not use his spells that he could perform only thanks to his spatial storage. Until he was able to reproduce it, this means that he would basically only fight like a casual-normal guy. He now couldn’t just bomb his way and could most likely only rely on space.
This brought him another problem: offensively, he had nothing good with space.
Space cut just made his regular attacks unavoidable so it was clearly not enough. His strongest point suddenly became his weakest. Sighing as he had even more things to train, Luke suicided as he didn’t know where he was and was most likely not on the same planet.
As he died, he encountered the same dark, empty space he goes through when he activates the roads. But unlike these times, the blank space felt cold and oddly creepy. As he was floating, he felt more and more uncomfortable by the second and his consciousness began to erode. This was, however, not the first time he felt this. And he was sure that it had to do with his childhood, of which he had no memory.
Then, within the dark space, he felt a soothing force attracting him. Putting all his remaining will to go towards it, Luke lost consciousness.
While this was happening, the system manager was bowing in front of Lord seventh and only what was probably the end of their conversation resounded.
” So that’s how it is… if what you said is true, then this kid really has a not so ordinary background. But, there is still something that doesn’t make sense. Why let him be like that? We might all be allies but people with special characteristics tend to never let their descendants contact anything that’s not in their sphere of influence… ”
” Lord, maybe it’s because he is a half? ”
” No, this cannot be the reason. Half or not, if he inherited their special characteristics then this doesn’t change how they treat their descendants. ” Shaking his head, he disappeared as he thought ” Maybe only fourth has the answer to this question. I should ask him … don’t want to claim what is rightfully his as my subordinate. This crazy old guy would just beat me up. ”
