Spirit Soul - Chapter 167 Third Member?
“I’m a D+ rank adventurer already? How is that possible?”
They had just arrived in the guildhall of Lynar, where Kyle was able to take a better look at his adventurer ID.
This was only possible because the ID of an adventurer would reflect additional details only when it was inside a guildhall.
These details included the number of accomplished missions and their respective location.
Most of these would be in the areas around the Sadorla forest, the Thunderclaw kingdom, or the Anadra kingdom!
There were specific orbs that were connected to each other through a strong network that updated the adventurer ID.
Thus, the Guild was considered to be one of the best-developed organisations that existed all across the three kingdoms.
As such, Kyle had been able to update the data of his ID, only to figure out that he was already a D+ Rank adventurer!
That meant he was not far from becoming a C- Adventurer which was what he had to reach in order to be allowed to fly through the air.
Even if it was with the help of a flying mount, it didn’t really matter because the time he could save by flying through the air was most likely several months.
Thus, Kyle was shocked about his ranking that was ought to be at the F rank.
He had only solved one guild mission, so his rank shouldn’t even have reached E.
Yet, owing to the mission being customized, it was likely for it to be a higher graded one than initially expected.
With that in mind, Kyle took a look at the mission he had accomplished with Selene.
[Ancient-grade mission accomplished! Congratulations Adventurer, your rank will be elevated to D+!]
He had no idea what the term ‘Ancient-grade’ meant but it had to be exceptional if he had jumped from F to D+ by completing only a single mission.
After he had figured out what the exact description of the mission was according to the words of the Guild, Kyle wondered if the details and the stamp of the guild would be enough for him to enter the Lahin kingdom.
However, just a moment later, he shook his head, telling himself that this was foolish.
Even if he had worked together with a newly promoted Baroness of the Lohar race, it didn’t simply confer him with the rights to enter the kingdom just like that.
Instead, it was necessary for him to be officially appointed as Selene’s bodyguard in order to be allowed to stay in the Lahin kingdom.
Furthermore, Selene was probably only allowed to appoint a single bodyguard.
This meant that Beatrice would still be considered an outlaw.
It was because of this factor that Kyle didn’t delve further into the grading system of guild missions.
Instead, he took a look at the guildhall’s mission board, hoping to find a mission that would allow him to officially enter the Lahin kingdom.
Unfortunately, this was easier said than done as the three of them didn’t find a single mission that would suit his purpose.
Not finding anything made him sigh as he looked at Yasmine, who had also been searching for missions.
Furrowing his eyebrows, he asked her in confusion.
“I’m sorry if it’s rude to ask this, but…why are you still here?”
He did not want to be offensive but only figure out why she had not left already.

Kyle wondered if she had something to do near the guildhall, but when he heard her answer, it was impossible for Kyle to keep his poker face.
“I just left my hunting team to follow you guys. So, I think I’ll keep accompanying you two until I’m bored.”
The answer was simple, but even Beatrice couldn’t help but feel a little bit confused.
‘Does that mean she will continue to follow us as long as we are entertaining…even after we leave Lynar?’
Kyle was asking himself a similar question, and the two exchanged odd glances before looking back at her which made Yasmine giggle.
However, she made no attempts to clear their confusion, and neither did the two enquired further.
They had simply no idea what to say to this.
Thus, given the situation that had suddenly turned weird, and awkward, silence filled their immediate surroundings.
Only the voices of other adventurers, the workers of the guild, and a few citizens that were requesting certain tasks to be fulfilled by the guild could be heard.
It took Kyle a few moments before he got his act together, and when this happened, he asked something that was completely unrelated to the earlier topic.
“By the way, Yasmine, are you aware of the recent events that occurred in the Sadorla forest and the Lahin kingdom?”
Believing that Kyle would ask a different question, Yasmine had opened her mouth to answer, only to halt in her tracks.
“Huh…you aren’t bothered by the fact that I simply decided to follow you two?”
Instead of giving her an answer, Kyle merely shrugged his shoulders, which caused her to sigh deeply, confused about the way he acted.
“I…do know a few things about the Sadorla forest, and the tension between the few parties that want to claim the forest for themselves, if that is what you mean with events.”
Yasmine’s answer was what Kyle had been thinking, and by requesting her to tell them more about what was going on in detail, the majority of things he had predicted had come true.
This was quite bad because the Sadorla forest had turned into a bloody warzone just because of the recently mutated flower in the center of the forest.
He was not sure whether Selene or the Jars were fine, but Kyle could only hope so.
His gut feeling told him the same, so he was not worried about them being dead, for now, at least.
Adding the other pieces of information Yasmine told him, it was not difficult to figure out why the demihumans had begun to hate the Aldras.
Apparently, the two kingdoms that were led by Aldras had destroyed many cities of the Anadra kingdom.
And that had been the case even though the kingdom had not even attacked either of the kingdoms at that moment.
It was only after they had been attacked that the Anadra kingdom had decided to support the Lahin kingdom.
However, even that hadn’t been a welcome move.
As such, the Anadra kingdom was in a tight spot because their lands were vast and the number of intelligent beasts inhabiting them equally huge.
The kingdom had gladly accepted them in their lands.
Even if it had looked like many beasts were killed by the kingdom’s hunters, this was not the case because it was, in fact, the beasts that took care of everything.
According to Yasmine, it was also because of this that they were most likely able to arrive in Lynar unscathed.
When Kyle and Beatrice heard this, they were momentarily confused, but the more they heard about the intelligent beasts that were considered the guardians of the kingdom, the more interested they became in the so-called guardians and the kingdom.
Unfortunately, it was not very helpful to have guardians if they were spread over the entire kingdom, which was completely different to the strength of two Aldras kingdoms that had joined forces to raid parts of their lands.

Connecting the dots, the situation of the Anadra kingdom did not appear to be good, but at the same time, it was not bad either.
They were not on the verge of being overwhelmed and conquered. Instead, the forces of the Anadra kingdom were slowly being gathered, and they were protecting their land, instead of attacking outside their borders.
This was quite interesting, considering that the more intelligent beasts were combining their forces with the demihumans, creating sub terra, ground, and aerial force!
However, in the end, it was not Kyle’s business what the demihumans did on their lands.
Instead, he should worry about his own situation which was not really great, to begin with.
Hearing about the hatred the demi-humans had about the Aldras and having experienced it personally, Kyle could already imagine how the Lohars would react if he were to simply storm through the gates of the Lahin kingdom.
Thus, the entire topic about searching for a guild mission became more important and complicated than Kyle first thought.
Though, the mission board in Lynar’s Guildhall was mostly filled with missions that were about the wilderness because the city was near it, and not the Lahin kingdom.
‘Maybe the closest city to the borders of the Lahin kingdom will have some missions that have been approved by their government or nobles…’
The entire situation around the Sadorla Forest was a big mess, but Kyle didn’t want to give up trying to find Selene yet.
With firm resolve, he looked at Beatrice, who returned his gaze, not quite sure what he wanted to do.
“We can only take one step at a time. Let’s first register you at the guild, and then we can complete missions, so you can improve your rank while we focus on making me a C rank adventurer. That’s fine with you, right?”
Even if Kyle knew that Beatrice would accept his plan, he still asked just to be on the safe side while trying to figure out if she had a better plan, which was apparently the case.
She averted her attention to Yasmine as she looked deep into the demihuman’s eyes.
“If you plan to follow us while we’re still in the Anadra kingdom, how about you lend one of your family’s flying mounts, and we travel to the city that is the closest to the Lahin kingdom’s border?”
Kyle had not even thought of asking Yasmine for help, which caused him to look at Beatrice for a moment with a glint of astonishment in his eyes.
Yet, when Beatrice noticed this, she couldn’t help but feel offended as she grumbled,
“Did you think I’m stupid just because I was stuck in a castle for some time?!?”
He almost started to laugh when Beatrice said ‘some’ time because this ‘some’ time that she referred to was actually 50,000 years.
However, he kept his calm, knowing that even the faintest chuckle would be misunderstood right now.
Never for a second had believed that Beatrice was stupid even if she was lacking common sense.
After all, common sense, intelligence, and knowledge were three different things.
They were interlinked and connected to each other to some extent but it was possible to be intelligent but unable to understand common sense.
“Of course, you are not stupid, maybe a little bit rusty due to your age, but you’re intelligent, I know that.”
When Beatrice heard the answer, she was not sure whether she should feel reassured or smack him.
Yet, before she could throw a fist at Kyle, Yasmine began to laugh.
Her light chuckle resounded through the entire guildhall that had suddenly quieted down as every single being turned his attention towards Yasmine, who took several minutes to calm down.
Kyle had only meant to tease Beatrice a little bit, and he was not sure how his statement had made Yasmine laugh so much, but apparently, she found it amusing.
Tilting his head in confusion, Kyle looked at her in doubt, while Beatrice felt the same.
However, when they heard what the winged woman, Yasmine told them, they couldn’t help but frown.
“Does that mean, the cute couple allows me to join the fray? Wow…is that a…threesome?! Beatrice, you naughty girl!”
