Spirit Soul - Chapter 189 Air
Contrary to the old man’s expectations, no fight broke out between Kyle and Horice.
Rather Horice seemed to be confused about what to think of Kyle, which was something the old man had never seen before of the Horse that had been blessed by the God of wind.
As such, he could only stare at the horse, and Kyle in dumbfounding, glad that he had finished his job of harnessing Horice.
Thus, he didn’t have to approach them anymore.
It might even be best for him to just leave, but unfortunately, he had to tend to and feed the other beasts, which he did dutifully.
Leaving Kyle, Arashi, and Horice alone, the old man went about his work while the three stared at each other for a few more minutes before coming out of their trance-like state.
It was only then that Horice noticed the weight of the chariot, and that he had already been harnessed.
Neighing in frustration, he released strong wind currents, but knowing that he had already promised Kyle to bring them to their destination, Horice held back from destroying the chariot and creating a ruckus.
Kyle felt like Horice was trying to calm himself which caused him to smile dryly as the strong wind currents blasted into his face, brushing back his blonde hair.
Feeling the wind currents while sensing the essence of the wind that originated from the wind orb, he sensed that his understanding of the wind was naturally increasing.
Earlier, Kyle had already sensed that Horice’s blessing would allow his comprehension of the wind to strengthen, but he had not expected the potency of the wind blessing to be that strong.
Thus, he slowly but steadily approached Horice so as to not alarm him and arrived next to the horse before he sat down.
Closing his eyes after placing both Arashi and the wind orb on his lap, Kyle tried to perceive everything in his surrounding that had to do even remotely with the wind.
Meanwhile, Horice had sensed the existence of the wind orb that caused him to ignore the chariot in its entirety as he took a step closer to Kyle before lying down beside him as well.
The closer he was to the wind orb, the better he felt, and his already improved understanding of the wind essence became only stronger.
Through this, an overlapping effect emerged between the Wind God’s blessing and the essence of the wind within the orb.
Within seconds, the surrounding atmosphere changed, and strong wind currents enveloped Kyle, Arashi, and Horice, including the chariot as they were cut off from the outside world.
It was roughly an hour later that Yasmine, her parents, and Beatrice arrived at the ranch, only to see a dome of wind currents, swirling around itself in the center of the entire place.
Not a single beast dared to approach the dome as they feared death and the ominous wind currents, and the farther they were from the wind dome, the better they felt.
Somehow, the situation in the center of the ranch was too ominous for them as they could sense devastating strength being slowly unveiled.
This originated from the understanding Horice was slowly receiving, making it seem as if the Wind God’s blessing was slowly being enhanced.
Meanwhile, Kyle and Arashi were slowly reaching the current limit of their wind affinity’s strength!
On one hand, this could be deemed as extremely bad, but in the end, bad was a relative term.
After all, there was still the other half of the medallion, which was the fact that their understanding could further increase.
The strength of the wind affinity was amplified as long as they used specific means such as a great comprehension that allowed them to issue more powerful blows.
Other than that, a great understanding was always useful, even more so because Kyle could enhance Arashi’s affinity seed.
In return, this would strengthen his own wind affinity too, which was everything that mattered for now.
As such, the moment everyone entered the ranch, and their eyes fell on the dome of wind currents, they couldn’t help but look at the situation slightly in awe.
“Is Horice gaining a higher understanding of his blessing?” Lyon asked, a trace of excitement gleaming in his eyes.
However, everyone else shook their heads in unison only moments later as Yelene mumbled.

“There…is also Kyle and his beast companion inside that dome…but…why do I feel so confused about them?”
It was not only Yasmine’s mother, who was confused. All the spectators were currently puzzled as nobody was able to make sense of the situation that unfolded in front of them.
Yasmine and Beatrice hadn’t thought much about Kyle’s understanding of the wind affinity before, and it was only now that they realized that he had told them about the time Arashi had awoken his wind affinity.
‘It has only been around a year, shortly before he entered the Razkadan castle?’ Beatrice asked herself, despite knowing the answer, wondering at Kyle’s speed.
While he was stuck in the Razkadan castle, she knew that his affinity had been nothing special and that he had yet to learn more about it.
Yet, after sensing Kyle’s presence, and the strong wind currents his individual Soul force generated, she began to doubt everything that had happened in the Razkadan castle.
‘How the hell is he so fast?!’
Unsure about how to feel, Beatrice could only look around, and her eyes fell on Yasmine’s face and her brightly gleaming eyes.
Yasmine was in awe, feeling like she had been struck by lightning as she clearly recalled Kyle’s story from the day before.
Instead of solely sharing the information about his abilities, Kyle had even explained that he was still lacking knowledge in lots of commonly known facts in almost every topic because he hadn’t been a cultivator in his past life.
Adding the fact that he had reincarnated not too long ago, it was only logical for him to not know everything that was deemed as basic for cultivators.
Telling all of this to Beatrice and Yasmine was not worrisome because both were already aware of him being a reincarnation and an Old Soul.
As such, the additional information he provided was solely a means to tell that he was oblivious to a lot of things and still learning.
After taking all of this into consideration, Yasmine had already been astonished at his hard work and grit and believed that Kyle was extremely talented.
However, upon seeing him right now, her eyes couldn’t help but sparkle.
To her, it was crystal clear that he was ought to become someone remarkable, and someone with the power to change the fate of countless beings.
Thus, she felt that her gut feeling had been right to follow him in the first place.
While she was staring at him, Beatrice averted her attention once again, feeling uncomfortable to see Yasmine’s excited face as a reaction to Kyle comprehending something.
Beatrice knew, for a matter of fact, that Kyle’s appearance and talents were not the only things that made him a person one would never dare to offend without reason.
His personality was already great, and his character was simply too good to be true.
‘I wonder if he will ever bother about getting a lover? And even if he does, maybe I’m already too old for him?’
Pinching her own cheeks, she let out a crystal clear sound that resounded in the ranch.
As if this were on cue, the wind dome slowly dispersed, freeing the two beasts and Kyle from the coverage.
His blonde hair fluttered in the wind, and his emerald eyes gleamed brightly.
Meanwhile, Horice neighed out in joy, indicating that it had been possible for the Wind God blessed beast to comprehend something. Arashi had a similar reaction as he jumped on top of Kyle’s head, barking out in joy.
He began to play around with Kyle, who was just about to try getting up from the ground.
But Arashi’s jump made the young man fall to the ground, landing right next to the wind orb that had rolled over the ground from his lap.
Grasping it, Kyle felt a weird connection to the essence of the wind that had been stored in it.
He thought that the orb would be an important step in his journey to practice more of the wind affinity, with the guidance of the wind orb and Horice’s Wind God blessing.
This was very interesting, but for now, Kyle stored the wind orb away, knowing that he had spent quite some time comprehending the fluidity of the wind.
In the end, the wind was not a simple element because it could take all kinds of forms, from a gentle breeze to a devastating tornado that was capable of providing respite as well as taking the lives of millions of beings.

Once he gently pushed Arashi away, Kyle was finally able to stand up, which he did without hesitation.
At that moment he noticed the others and their gazes.
“Everyone is already here? That’s great, let’s go!”
Smiling brightly, Kyle made no efforts to hide that he was exhilarated about what had just happened.
It was simply exciting to figure out many new things, and getting to know that the Wind God’s blessing of Horice allowed his comprehension to skyrocket, while simultaneously overlapping with the effects of the Wind orb.
Thus, he was expecting great things to happen in the next few weeks in which they would be flying through Anadra, before crossing the borderlands of the kingdom in order to enter the garrison of the two demihuman kingdoms in the Sadorla forest.
Kyle was not sure how long it would take, but what he knew for good was the fact that his schedule was jam-packed, and that the wind affinity comprehension had to be squeezed into it.
‘Well, I can always sleep less!’
His thoughts were quite simple. If he can do everything while managing to feel rested in fewer hours of sleep, why should he sleep then?
However, once he realized that he had too many things that were all high priority, Kyle would simply disregard sleeping for days on end, and if necessary, even for weeks altogether in order to finish his tasks.
Postponing certain tasks was not something he liked to do, which was why he didn’t procrastinate as long as he had a different choice.
With that in mind, he smiled brightly as he got into the large chariot that was harnessed to Horice.
After stepping inside the chariot, Kyle saw numerous runes and could recognize only a few, out of which the most important one was also the most basic.
‘Floating runes…At least we won’t fall even if Horice were to grow tired once in a while!’
Rushing the other women to enter the chariot that looked more like a perfectly normal carriage of nobles, he bid Yasmine’s parents farewell before asking Horice to ascend.
Normally, the horse wouldn’t listen to anyone, but feeling grateful for the comprehension he had received, Horice decided to obey him. Thus strong wind currents enveloped it, while the chariot’s runes began to glow that lifted the chariot by a few millimeters.
A moment later, Horice galloped forward a bit as his hooves made the loose soil fly around before they left the solid ground and ascended into the air.
Feeling the wind blow on his face, he neighed loudly before the speed of the horse that had been blessed by the God of wind accelerated.
Shooting into the air, they left the ranch within a second, reaching an altitude of several hundred meters, as the large city grew smaller, the higher they went.
Looking around in awe, Kyle’s eyes were gleaming brightly, and he felt eager to imprint the scenario into his mind before he would finally avert his attention to the most important tasks.
“Was it really necessary to rush us like this?”
It was Beatrice, who asked this out of nowhere because she saw how sad Yasmine suddenly looked.
However, perceiving Kyle’s gaze the moment she looked him in the eye, Beatrice couldn’t help but gulp nervously.
“I couldn’t hold back anymore!”
