Spirit Soul - Chapter 209 Attention
Without hesitation, Kyle brandished the Starbreaker katana and thrust it out with all his might.
Receiving an enhancement in speed owing to the strong wind currents that pushed his elbow and the remaining part of his arm forward, the Katana’s blade turned into a blur as it pierced through the young Aldra.
It was only at this moment that Kyle understood something crucial.
He had just killed the first being that looked just like his kind, like himself!
Yet, instead of feeling disgusted, Kyle didn’t even bat an eyelid as death was something he had grown overly accustomed to.
As such, even when he tore the katana out of the young Aldra prodigy’s chest, Kyle’s expression didn’t change even a tiny bit.
Warm blood splattered on his face, yet his cold eyes gave away no emotion of guilt or sorrow.
In the end, they had attempted to kill him with all their might and unfair tactics.
They had attacked him mercilessly and almost succeeded.
As such, he had simply returned the favor, showing no mercy and initiated a surprise attack.
The crescent wind blades were still flying through the air and were being expertly controlled by Arashi, whose sudden arrival was barely noted by the two remaining youths.
Using some additional Soul force, Kyle took control over a dozen crescent wind blades that shot towards him, only to circle around him like a ring of protection.
Making use of his momentum, he shot out the wind blades, while targeting different areas of the remaining two opponents.
Meanwhile, Arashi was doing the same with the sole difference that he was attacking from behind.
Owing to that, the Aldra prodigies were surrounded by wind blades that could easily cut through the skin and bones of Cultivators at the Late Vitae stage.
This caused enormous pressure to weigh down on the young men who had to avert their focus from Kyle in order to deflect the crescent wind blades.
After all, if even a single one of them would hit a vital spot of their body, it would slice through, gravely injuring them and almost confirming their defeat.
Taking this into consideration, the current threat of the wind blades was much higher.
Yet, they were struggling to keep track of the masked man as they evaded the crescent wind blades with smooth movements.
The attacks on them were issued at a rapid pace, but owing to their speed, the wind blades were unable to change their trajectory at once.
Nevertheless, some of the attacks that had reached them forced them to use their weapons in order to deflect the wind blades, whose impact was much greater than expected.
At this moment, when the two Aldra prodigies were the most distracted, both of Kyle’s feet touched the ground for a short moment before he disappeared from the youth’s sight.
What he could see was a few wind currents that had enveloped his body.
Yet, it was a fraction of a second later that the wind blades that had distracted the youths scattered into strong wind currents.
However, instead of floating in all directions, they shot toward the youths, momentarily restricting their movements as Kyle emerged in front of the second youth.
They didn’t have an elemental affinity and thus didn’t know that they could be used in a versatile manner, even more so the wind affinity.
After all, in Kyle’s opinion, wind could be used to make nearly everything possible if one knew how.
The uses of wind were endless and imprisoning his opponents for a second was no problem, even less if they had only seen that Kyle was able to envelop his body with wind currents, and the use of wind blades.
As for the wind tempest, this was something the young Aldra prodigies quickly discarded as a fluke.
However, this was only the case because their knowledge of elemental affinities was minuscule.
Having listened to their teachers, and witnessing what the strongest prodigies of their race were capable of with elemental affinity, they felt that there was no way for Kyle to be stronger than them.
Yet, there was a huge difference in the pure strength of an elemental affinity, and the true comprehension of the elements’ essence!
Thus, while the strength of Kyle’s affinity might not reach that of the prodigies, the comprehension he had attained of the wind essence was shockingly high.
But this was only obvious owing to the benefits he had amassed from the wind essence orb, and Horice’s Wind God’s blessing!
To the young Aldra prodigies’ misfortune they had underestimated Kyle, even after he had survived the attack of the three special arrows.
Fortunately, this was not something Kyle could care less about as he slashed out with the Starbreaker katana, while his eyes were gleaming coldly as he beheaded one of the young prodigies with a flick of his wrist.
Without a backward glance, Kyle advanced ahead, breaking open the ground below him with the force he exerted to rush ahead as he reached the last youth, whose eyes widened in shock.

Sadness, frustration, anger, and unwillingness could be seen within them.
However, Kyle didn’t slacken and continued to weild the katana in a calm manner, piercing through the heart of the last of the three prodigies.
Its blade was slick with warm blood that splattered on his mask, further dirtying it.
Taking a few breaths, he bent a little to wipe his blade with the clothes of the corpse right in front of him.
Only a moment later he was able to perceive how the Soul of the deceased was slowly detaching from the young Aldra prodigy.
Noticing this, Kyle immediately thrust the Starbreaker katana forward as it deprived the soul of its energy.
It almost looked like he was piercing into the young Aldra prodigy, mocking him for having been defeated.
Yet, this was not the case, at all.
In fact, after his initial anger had subsided, he felt relief spreading through his body.
‘They underestimated me…otherwise I would have lost!’
He was not oblivious to the truth that he was weaker than the prodigies of the Aldra race.
They had been at a higher cultivation base, and simply took him as a negligible variable.
This was contrary to what the higher authorities of the Aldra race thought of him as they felt extremely uncomfortable with his presence within the Dome.
Yet, seeing that he had defeated the three prodigies, not even the Aldra race’s Elders could help but look at the corpses that were lying less than two kilometers away from them with a dumbfounded expression.
Even Sven, and his Blazing Legion unit couldn’t help but feel suffocated.
Only when they noticed that they had stopped breathing for quite some time did they take lungfuls of fresh air.
“This…is he really only at the Low Vitae stage?? His control over the wind affinity is clearly comparable to that of a Krysal stage Cultivator!” One of the younger Soldiers exclaimed, clearly recalling multiple fights of their Legion’s Captains at the Krysal stage.
He had marveled at them for their accurate control over their fire affinity as they had fought against other Legion’s Captains using all their might.
Yet, in comparison to Kyle, their overbearing power seemed to turn insignificant as the young Soldier was comparing a Cultivator at the Low Vitae stage with them!
“You tend to forget that we don’t have many nobles in our Blazing Legion…and all of them are considered prodigies…
To be honest, I’m not sure if Kyle’s control over his affinity might even be better than theirs!”
Everyone observing the battle couldn’t help gush about Kyle’s precise control over the crescent wind blades.
Because of that, they momentarily forgot about Arashi’s existence, as the Horned Tempest Fox disappeared under the robe Kyle picked up after devouring the three souls of the young prodigies.
,m After he wore the mask and the bloodied robe, Arashi could fuse with Kyle once again.
Afterward, his Spirit Soul began accelerating the replenishing process of his Soul force by actively absorbing the surrounding energies before converting them into Soul force.
He was not sure when the next attack would start.
As such, Kyle wanted to be fully prepared if something were to happen.
After all, not three, but just one of the young Aldra prodigies should have been enough to kill Kyle!
With the use of the unique bow and special arrows, this would have been a rather easy task had they not underestimated Kyle.
However, now that the youths were dead, the bows and the content of the prodigies’ spatial ring belonged to him.
He didn’t bother picking up the spatial rings of the corpses he passed by.
Yet, claiming spoils of the war which he had earned through his hard work was something Kyle wouldn’t forget.
In the end, it was not him who had attacked the Aldra prodigies, but it was the other way around. He had not been the party to make the first move so he had no guilt of dealing the fatal blows!
Because of that, he couldn’t care less about what the Elders of the Aldra race would say.
Nonetheless, instead of being oblivious to the fact that he might as well be killed after leaving the dome, Kyle felt like looking upward at the sky.
Knowing that the Quetzalcoatl was circling above the clouds, he could only hope for the best before he sighed deeply.
‘Everything will be fine, right?’ He asked himself but was not certain if the answer was affirmative.
There were many things that bothered him, but by killing the three prodigies of the Aldra race, he had attracted lots of attention.

This was something he had perceived instinctively.
More than a hundred pairs of eyes were staring at him, whether it was with a murderous intent, curiousity, or from a neutral point of view.
As such, he could only distract himself a little bit by looking through the contents of the three young prodigies’ spatial rings.
Furthermore, he had yet to test the three unique bows, and figure out their individual strengths and effects.
With that in mind, Kyle momentarily forgot his task of procuring a mutated Licara flower seed as he focused on the items he had procured.
There might be something that could help him in the future, after all!
Yet, while Kyle had calmed down, feeling not even the slightest trace of remorse for killing three Aldra, there was no sight of calm outside the dome!
While Sven and his Soldiers were awestruck by Kyle’s combat prowess and handling of the wind affinity, Yasmine and Beatrice were holding each other’s hands and clinging to each other nervously.
Only after some time did they notice that they were holding each other’s hands, which both had instinctively grasped when Kyle’s robe had been pierced by more than a dozen arrows.
An identical look of relief appeared on their faces when they saw him alive.
Now, even after he was sitting on the treetop of a large tree, having numerous thick branches and an abundance of leaves, and were testing out a few things, they didn’t let go of each other.
The tension around them was way too intense, making them feel like they were suffocating.
Both were accustomed to the pressure of a mighty existence, that was far stronger than the most powerful Elders of the present races.
In fact, Beatrice had been one of such existences before she had lost her cultivation.
Yet, sensing the gazes that lingered on Kyle, they felt different as the situation didn’t only involve themselves, and their own safety, but that of Kyle.
As such, Yasmine couldn’t help but turn to Sven as she asked in a low voice that was laced with her concern.
“Is it possible for the Aldra, or even the Nasga race to launch a large-scale attack on Kyle once he leaves the dome?”
Yasmine didn’t think that this was likely to happen because Kyle had only killed a single prodigy of the Nasga race, and only three rather weak prodigies of the Aldra race.
However, the fact that he did everything in such an overwhelming manner was likely to attract other being’s interest or fear.
After all, Kyle was bound to turn into a terrifying existence given his low cultivation stage yet high combat skills!
Because of that, both Beatrice and Yasmine had already figured out that there would also be powerful existences that would fear Kyle’s potential, which was why Yasmine had asked Sven.
She knew that it was possible, but what she wanted to know from Sven was how likely was it for an attack on Kyle to happen according to him.
However, Sven, who was still looking in the direction of Kyle could only smile bitterly as he turned into the direction of the two women.
“As long as he hands a mutated Licara flower seed to our race, nothing will happen to him! The Queen might as well fight against the other Monarchs if they were to dare act against Kyle… he would turn into her benefactor after all!”
Confidence could be seen in his eyes, and his words gave both Beatrice and Yasmine some much needed assurance.
Yet, at the same time, Sven’s last few words caused them to feel a little bit uncomfortable.
However, what neither the two women, let alone Sven knew was the fact that Alice and her master had observed the battle of Kyle intently.
“Send out an invitation letter.”
Alice said in a resolute tone, only for her master to look at her in dumbfoundment.
A few seconds passed, causing Alice to turn impatient as she repeated herself once again.
“Invite Kyle and his group to the Glory Knight academy!!”
