Spirit Soul - Chapter 213 Above The Ground
Another half an hour passed before the Aeroa, Kandras and Myda race entered the dome.
The Myda race was the race with two pairs of arms, and a burly muscular body.
Kyle had gotten a hang of their names owing to his great hearing capabilities as the Nasga, demihumans and Aldra were informed about the name, strength, and weaknesses of the newcomers.
In a spontaneous decision, the three parties joined forces to become a formidable team against the others.
One could say that they made a temporary truce in order to prevent the other races from getting their hands on the treasures.
It would be a lie, if Kyle were to say that this didn’t astonish him.
After all, the Nasga, Aldra and all the races belonging to the demihumans, including the Lohar race, had hacked and slashed at each other, killing without mercy.
This was also the biggest reason for him to ignore the invitation of Alice Silvermoon, who had entered the dome once again.
She had searched for him specifically and provided Kyle with some information before inviting him to team up with her.
There was a distinct glint of interest in her eyes, which intensified even further the moment he refused her offer.
Never in her life had she been rejected bluntly, but Kyle didn’t even hesitate, as he calmly stated,
“I don’t want to team up with you!”
He didn’t feel the need to beat around the bush with her, which was something Alice rarely encountered.
Thus, she didn’t even think about telling him that she had used her political influence in order to allow him and the two women by his side to enter the Lahin kingdom.
To be precise, Alice Silvermoon had arranged for the entry of Kyle’s group in the Glory Knight academy under the pretense that they were students for the new program they had wanted to start.
Unfortunately, it was the newly emerged war and mutated Licara flower that had disrupted her plans. It had forcefully averted everybody’s focus from forming a class of other races’ prodigies.
Through this, she had hoped to force the Lohar race to converse with other beings than their own kind.
Despite the averted focus, Alice knew that the Queen of the Lahin kingdom would soon announce the creation of a special class, a class full of strong prodigies, or even royalty from the Anadra kingdom.
Adding Kyle, Yasmine and Beatrice to the student list wouldn’t be difficult for Alice.
She had already started to make the necessary arrangements using her contacts.
But that was not something Kyle knew about.
If Alice were to tell Kyle that he didn’t need the mutated Licara flower seed to meet his goal, he was highly likely to leave the dome.
And this was not something Alice wanted to happen.
Instead, she was eager to see him fight desperately for the sole purpose of gaining a favor from the Queen.
Handing over the Licara flower seed would be more than enough to achieve this.
Alice was curious and somewhat excited to see how firm Kyle’s resolve was to achieve whatever he wanted.
It made her eyes gleam brightly, even after he rejected her proposal to team up.
After all, this could be deemed as an extremely stupid tactic owing to the fact that he was bound to become one of the most hunted being inside the dome.
Being a solo fighter and possessing one of the most sought after objects would not lead to any other outcome for Kyle.

However, Kyle didn’t trust Alice, or the other three parties.
He was unable to believe that the three parties were willing to forget their enmity and join hands in order to fight side by side against other opponents.
It was not illogical to do that, but at the same time, Kyle was sure of the fact that all of them would turn their backs on each other, the moment their common enemies were defeated!
Because Kyle was sure that he would be betrayed by his own team if he were to join one, he decided to choose the difficult and risky path.
He had accepted that he would be attacked by more opponents of the three new races, and possibly even by the other three races when they would grow desperate enough to lay their hands on the treasures and feel like he was their only way to do so.
Kyle didn’t think that the three parties would attack him anytime soon as the situation was not yet tricky.
Making use of the given information, he created several plans for the remaining 11 hours of his countdown without him losing the mutated Licara flower seed, let alone dying.
Instead of walking on the land, he decided to travel through the trees, jumping from one branch to another of the larger trees that towered over two hundred meters, in an attempt to prevent the Myda and Kandras race from easily pursuing him.
This should help him to some extent, even if it was not the best option.
Some Lohars were trying to do the same, for which they used their great jumping capabilities.
Simultaneously, it was possible for them to use their great hearing sense in order to perceive the subtlest noises from their surroundings.
It was a great tactic to avoid attacks from other groups that wanted to charge at them.
Yet, Kyle had a much better plan to know where someone was located, and how to evade his opponents.
Upon seeing the hues of every living being, Kyle ignored the hues around the trees, bushes, and other types of plants while his focus was on the three thousand new participants that entered the dome.
Their numbers were quite low considering that the three races had brought semi-prodigious talents to the Sadorla forest.
However, this was only obvious because it must have been extremely difficult to travel through the vast expanse of the Sadorla forest in a matter of three weeks.
Kyle presumed that they used teleportation circles from all the surrounding kingdoms and empires in order to reach the Sadorla forest fast enough and cut back on the travel time.
This must have been extremely expensive, and to the point that the leaders of the Myda, Aeroa and Kandras race had decided that a thousand participants each was more than enough.
To be precise, this was ought to be enough as long as the three races didn’t attack each other, owing to the exhaustion the demihumans, Nasga and Aldra were feeling.
It was a tricky situation, but Kyle simply smiled, sensing the first Aeroa charging straight at him.
Sensing his countdown was only left for less than 11 hours, and the fact that Kyle was alone, the young man immediately sensed his opportunity.
Having eagerly waited to enter the Brawl event for the last three weeks, everyone was eager to procure heavenly treasures.
Despite their eagerness, most new participants had decided to act calmly knowing that they shouldn’t exhaust themselves and just dive in the moment they reached the dome.
Acting rushed would, most likely, end up in their death.
Nevertheless, the Aeroa that charged at Kyle, was one of the few participants that had close to no cultivation talent.
Only by working hard, and receiving cultivation resources as rewards was it possible for the young Aeroa to become an existence that was called semi-prodigious.
Nothing could be far away from the truth as his talent was far below average, but he still accepted this title.
Yet, the moment he heard about the effects of the Licara flower seed, and that the Guild itself had created an Event owing to the trouble the mutation of the Licara flower had caused, the young Aeroa had immediately shown his interest in participating in the Brawl.
Working even harder than usual in order to receive the opportunity he had been waiting to grab ever since he had been told how low his true cultivation talent was, it was impossible for the young Aeroa to hold back right now.
He wanted to change his fate, become a true prodigy by devouring all potions that could be concocted with the use of the mutated Licara flower seed!

Using his wind affinity and innate agility the Aeroa reached a terrifying velocity that barely decreased. It was as if he was walking on air as he smoothly avoided the densely packed trees, and reached Kyle in less than two minutes.
Meanwhile, the other Aeroa had ascended in the air, observing the entire Brawl with their great eyesight, and searching for groups to attack mercilessly.
Meanwhile the Kandras and Myda race had decided to split the area on the ground amongst themselves for the next few hours.
They wanted to decimate their opponents before fighting fairly against one another.
This was something all of them had decided upon encountering each other in the vast Empire where the only large-scale teleportation circle close to the Sadorla forest was located.
For Kyle and everyone else, the fact that the newly arrived races had received the time to speak with each other beforehand, was probably the worst that could have happened.
The given time had allowed them to create a plan to take out everyone who had fought for more than a day, after all.
Kyle quickly noticed that none of the new arrivals fought against each other, but he didn’t even have time to digest this piece of information.
He was distracted by the terrifyingly high velocity of the Aeroa, whose cultivation base was at the Peak of the Vitae stage.
In fact, Kyle presumed that the young Aeroa had intentionally suppressed his cultivation base to prevent breaking into the Krysal stage during the last few days.
The young Aeroa’s cultivation talent was non-existent, to put it nicely, and it was quite easy to figure out what he wanted to achieve.
Facing the young Aeroa, Kyle smiled lightly behind his mask.
His robe might have been punctured by several arrows, but it did little to deter him from advancing ahead as only little holes could be seen.
They didn’t reveal much of Kyle’s appearance, certainly not more than the others had already seen beforehand.
Nonetheless he made use of the robe in order to manifest a total of four highly compressed crescent wind blades which he shielded from everybody’s sight using the robe.
Without wasting any time, Kyle also changed his position as he retreated to an area that was densely packed with branches of the surrounding trees.
It was a dense network of branches and leaves, giving the Aeroa with his wings that had a wingspan of over six meters hardly any space to move.
Despite not being as talented as the other Aeroa that came to participate in the Brawl, the young Aeroa was, by no means, stupid.
He had heard some gossip about the masked man, and knew that Kyle might only be at the Low Vitae stage, but also that he had killed three prodigies of the Aldra race that had been at the Peak of the Vitae stage.
And that too, in a seemingly simple manner, using his overwhelmingly high control over the wind affinity, and his intellect.
If Kyle were to hear this, he would be amused, and wonder if the comment about intellect was truly correct.
Yet, what Kyle was currently doing was restricting the Aeroa’s movements, which was certainly a brainy move.
But what nobody had taken into their calculations was that the young Aeroa used a quarter of his entire mana in order to envelop his wings with tightly compressed wind currents.
This allowed him to increase his speed further, while protecting his wings.
A moment later, Kyle noticed something else as the young Aeroa brushed past a thick branch that was sliced through as if a hot knife would cut through butter.
‘He comprehended the sharpness of the wind? Is that what the Aeroa focused on?’
In the end, Kyle had never been taught how to properly comprehend an elemental affinity.
As such, he had used his instincts and used ‘the trail and test method’ to learn everything.
Meanwhile, the Aeroa in front of him had been taught the basics of the wind essence owing to the fact that his entire race possessed a wind affinity, whether it was a basic, intermediate or advanced wind affinity!
Thus, Kyle’s biggest advantage, of his high control over the wind, seemed to have been obliterated as 1000 beings with a higher control over the wind had appeared all around him.
This caused Kyle to frown for a second, as determination flickered in his eyes to show these 1000 beings that he was not to be taken lightly!
‘Let’s see who is the strongest, right here, right now!!’
