Splitting the Heavens - Chapter 1260: Sneaky Bastards!
The Spirit Tinkle World was a Spirit World, unlike any other.
Many of their paths of cultivation were related to spiritual beasts, and the True Immortals of the Spirit Tinkle World usually addressed themselves with names of spiritual beasts. For example, True Immortal He, True Immortal Qing, True Immortal Yi… And the like. [1]
The Spirit Tinkle World seemed similar to the Azure Spiritual World of the past, but they could be considered a much more perfect version of it.
The Spirit Tinkle World had 22 continents and 7 Elysiums.
Comparing the Spirit Tinkle World to the Spirit Faith World, they were still a notch weaker. When Shang Xia first arrived in the Spirit Faith World back then, they had 8 great Elysiums.
The only difference was that the Spirit Faith World consolidated the essence of 3 different worlds and obtained the foundations of the Spirit Emptiness World in order to produce their Elysiums.
When Shang Xia and Kou Chongxue led an expedition against them in the past, 3 or 4 Elyisums only had a single True Immortal holding the fort, which allowed their invasion to succeed.
The Spirit Faith World might possess more Elysiums, but their foundations were far from comparable to the powerful Spirit Tinkle World. Almost every one of their 22 continents had stronger foundations than the Spirit Faith World and more than half of their continents had reached the grand completion stage.
If they had to compare the Spirit Luxuriant World to it… They would pale even more in comparison.
Other than the 7 great Elysiums, The Spirit Tinkle World had other factions with True Immortals. There were even several wandering cultivators who reached that level.
The Spirit Luxuriant World had once estimated there to be 15 or so True Immortals in the Spirit Tinkle World, and they probably had 3 or 4 high-level True Immortals. There was even a possibility that among those high-level True Immortals, 1 might even have reached the level of Returning to the Origin!
After a short exchange with Dou Jie, Shang Xia learned that the Spirit Tinkle World actually had 19 True Immortals! There were 4 fourth tier True Immortals, and 1 fifth tier True Immortal called True Immortal Zhu.
The only thing Dou Jie didn’t know at the moment was the state of the Spirit Tinkle World and the casualties they had already suffered.
Ever since the news of the Spirit Tinkle World’s fleet being eliminated by the sudden alliance of the Spirit Mammoth World and Spirit Abundance World returned, all sorts of news had been spreading like wildfire.
Most of the rumors going around confirmed the fact that the Spirit Tinkle World’s fleet had been wiped out, but the True Immortals of the Spirit Tinkle World, especially high-level True Immortals, were most definitely able to escape.
At the very least, in the eyes of Shang Xia and Dou Jie, even if the fifth tier True Immortal of the Spirit Tinkle World was surrounded by 3 to 4 fourth tier True Immortals from the alliance, he should still be able to stay alive while running.
As they conversed, the Divine Evasion Boat passed through powerful chaotic streams and arrived in another region in the sea of stars. According to Dou Jie, it was where the Spirit Tinkle World was.
Actually, even without his introduction, they could already feel powerful fluctuations coming in all directions. It was clear to them that a massive battle was happening all over the place, even if they were fighting outside their field of vision.
Dou Jie and Shang Xia glanced at each other and saw the look of shock in each other’s eyes.
Clearly, they managed to discover some information from the spatial fluctuations around them.
They might have been relaxed when they made their way over, but they immediately raised their guards.
“The situation changed again… I thought that they wouldn’t actually go so far and fight so close to the Spirit Tinkle World!” Dou Jie forced a chuckle.
For such a massive brawl to take place so close to the Spirit Tinkle World, they would have to act fast and clearly indicate which side they were on. At the very least, they needed to show those fighting if they were friend or foe in case they were attacked by both sides.
The problem was… Be it Dou Jie or Shang Xia, both of them arrived confused and they didn’t even know how to establish contact with those in the battle.
Dou Jie eventually forced a chuckle. “Looks like we’ll have to split up for now.”
Shang Xia nodded and cupped his fists towards Dou Jie. “Many thanks for the lift. I will have to quickly gather with the True Immortals of the Spirit Tinkle World seeing how chaotic this is. I shall take my leave now.”
Shang Xia didn’t hesitate and he turned into a streak of light that disappeared into the sea of stars.
Looking in the direction Shang Xia had gone, Dou Jie mumbled to himself in a low voice, “Let’s hope that we never meet as enemies… It’s just… How the hell did the situation turn so bad so quickly?! From what I know, the Spirit Tinkle World should have at least a high-level Elysium True Immortal…”
Shang Xia was also slightly panicked when he arrived. The closer he got to the Spirit Tinkle World, the more intense the spatial fluctuations were. He couldn’t create spatial tunnels as easily as before and he eventually decided to make use of an Abyssal Emptiness Talisman to make his way towards the world.
With his speed that far surpassed any cultivators of the same level, he was traveling quickly through the battlefield. However, he soon felt someone flying past him quickly and he understood that Dou Jie was probably making use of the Divine Evasion Boat which was even faster than himself.
Grabbing a talisman that was made with the special technique of the institution, he activated it and it turned into a faint streak of light that flew in many different directions. As long as Kou Chongxue caught any part of it, they would be able to establish their communication line.
However… Shang Xia wasn’t too optimistic that Kou Chongxue would be able to catch it successfully. As he made his way closer to the main battlefield, he could feel the intensity of the battles happening. He was afraid those beams of light he sent out would be destroyed before it could even get close.
While that was happening, Shang Xia tried to conceal his aura as he made his way closer to the world. Unfortunately, in massive battles like that where there were extremely intense spatial fluctuations and everyone was on guard, he would quickly draw suspicion to himself. In fact, he might even turn himself into a common target.
The moment he arrived at the main battlefield, he pretty much understood how the battle started.
Even though he was confident in the defensive abilities of his domain, he didn’t hesitate to activate the Abyss Prison Emptiness Talisman. The talisman turned the region of space around him into an abyss that could swallow almost all sorts of attacks. At the same time, it could weaken others’ domain to a certain extent. It was especially useful for preventing assassination attempts.
Next, Shang Xia grabbed his Stone Rod and stabbed it into the void before him. There were dozens of phantoms that appeared as he unleashed the second move of his Six Harmony Rod Technique, Starry Disorder!
It was followed by a massive blast in the void as several experts hidden in the void were sent flying. The spatial fluctuations that were kicked up tore the space around him to shreds and at the same time, it managed to stop others from locking on to him with their divine souls.
Shang Xia stepped into the chaotic space around him that was stirred up without a moment’s hesitation.
A spatial tunnel was created in the void all of a sudden, to the surprise and horror of anyone around. Shang Xia’s Holy Artifact stabbed straight for those who tried to sneak up on him.
He unleashed the third move in his Six Harmony Rod Technique, Void Emptiness!
Not only was the move great when it came to piercing through domains, it could even create a spatial tunnel with its penetrating abilities for someone to pass through if needed.
It was something Shang Xia came up with on the spot after observing its properties, and it was a new use of his move.
Earlier, there were more than 10 experts who tried to sneak up on Shang Xia. Even though his divine soul was slightly disrupted, he could still tell that there were at least 4 to 5 True Immortals among them.
As for the rest… They were cultivators in the Martial Dipper Realm.
Even Martial Dipper Realm cultivators dare to butt into a battle at this level?
Shang Xia thought to himself.
After confirming that everyone around him didn’t consist of anyone he knew, Shang Xia unleashed Starry Disorder again. This time, the number of phantom rods that was sent out was the exact number of those who tried to attack him.
Actually, there were actually a lot more people who wanted to attack Shang Xia after noticing his arrival. However, they quickly gave up on the idea and ran away after he thwarted the plan of those in the first wave.
From Shang Xia’s aura, which he wasn’t concealing any longer, they could tell that he was a high-level True Immortal!
Many people who were in the surroundings who were just lurking about the battlefield or fighting sucked in a cold breath. Those who were fighting could be bothered by their opponents as they turned to flee.
They didn’t think that Shang Xia would react so quickly and decisively!
From his actions, he was clearly not planning to let a single person who tried to sneak attack him go!
They didn’t quite understand where he got his confidence to fight so many experts from, as there were several True Immortals among them.
They felt that even if the person who arrived was a high-level True Immortal, he couldn’t possibly take them all down with a single rod technique…
Also, in the eyes of the True Immortals who were targeted, they felt that Shang Xia was humiliating them!
With the exception of those in the Marital Dipper Realm, those who planned to attack Shang Xia earlier stopped escaping. None of them tried to run any longer and they turned their attention to the phantom rod flying their way.
Rumble… Boom…
The space 1000 miles around Shang Xia quickly erupted with massive explosions as the entire region turned into a mess.
