Splitting the Heavens - Chapter 1306: Catch
After their allocation, the world fragment left shrunk by a lot. It was close to a small continent.
They no longer split the landmass up as they seemed to be waiting for something.
No one knew how long had passed when a pillar of spiritual light shot into the skies from the direction of the Hai Continent. It was so powerful it nearly broke through the heavenly screen.
At the same time, a formless barrier started to spread from the center of the Hai Continent and it encompassed nearly 60 percent of the continent.
Looking at the heavenly phenomenon, Shang Xia and Kou Chongxue revealed joyful expressions.
“Her domain has formed and she should have succeeded in stepping into the Martial Void Realm. She only has to consolidate her foundations and familiarize herself with her inner qi” Shang Xia laughed. “Our institution has another True Immortal now, and our world has 14 of us in total!”
Kou Chongxue stroked his beard he had been growing for some time with a look of satisfaction on his face. “I have already passed down the order to our disciples in the Hai Continent. Other than those who are required to stay behind during her seclusion, the rest can head over to the Bing Continent.”
The smile on Shang Xia’s face slowly faded and was replaced with a solemn expression once again. He nodded slightly. “It’s time for Instructor Ge to start his attempt.”
Sun Haiwei’s success couldn’t be hidden as the heavenly phenomenon could be seen by half the Spirit Luxuriant World. It didn’t take long for the news to spread to the rest of the world.
Borrowing the boost in morale of her successful breakthrough, the other experts of the institution rushed to the Bing Continent to pressure the Divine Capital Sect down south once they met up with Ge Qingzhu and the members of the Five Mountains Alliance.
Facing the cultivators of the Tongyou Institution who seemed to be on steroids, the members of the Divine Capital Sect were quickly forced back. Of course, the might from the birth of a third True Immortal of the Tongyou Institution also helped.
When the Tongyou Institution controlled the Bing Continent, Ge Qingzhu quickly chose several elite subordinates before rushing to the landmass in mid air.
The Bing Continent was around 6,500 miles wide, and it had been one of the border continents. Its foundations were a little shallow and with the Tongyou Institution and Divine Capital Sect vying for control over it in recent years, it suffered huge damage. It was barely better than the Yan and the Hai Continent when it was just established.
When Ge Qingzhu and the rest arrived, Kou Chongxue, who returned from the Yan Continent, split the rest of the world fragment up. The larger piece was close to 7,000 miles wide and Ge Qingzhu and the rest dragged it over to the Bing Continent.
The smaller piece was sent flying to the east of the You Continent with a wave of Shang Xia’s hand.
Kou Chongxue chuckled softly, “I thought that Lu Wuzi would jump out of nowhere and try his luck. I didn’t think that the Ice Essence Sect would be so adamant about standing their ground and not requesting for any benefits this time.”
Shang Xia thought for a second and sighed, “If the grace we show them is too big, it might turn into a grudge… This is best for all of us. After all… Even brothers related by blood should have their accounts settled without ambiguity.”
“The entire world knows what our plan is now. The Northern Sea Mystic Sect will definitely go all out in the conflict in the Ji Continent. To prevent them from getting desperate and going crazy, it would be best if we destroy their morale and win without having to fight.” Kou Chongxue nodded slowly and said.
Shang Xia nodded along. “When Instructor Ge also succeeds, I won’t hide my cultivation anymore. When that happens… Zhang Xuansheng should know what to do.”
“Relax. That old man has been in existence long enough… He knows what’s good for him!” Kou Chongxue chuckled at the side.
…
When Ge Qingzhu started the integration of the landmass into the Bing Continent, the blessing of the World’s Will descended. Protected by the experts of the institution, he swallowed his advancement medicine and started his breakthrough to the Martial Void Realm.
While that was happening, another scene was playing out in the Triple Frost Palace in the Ji Continent.
Multiple Martial Dipper Realm experts and several Martial Extermination Realm higher-ups of the Triple Frost Palace gathered in their main hall. All of them had unsightly expressions while many of them were quarreling about something. A powerful sect with a Holy Land as their foundation had its main hall resembling a wet market. Of course, hidden behind their unsightly expressions were looks of shock and fright.
In the center of the hall sat 3 experts of the De generation. They looked at their disciples yelling angrily around them and the disappointment on their faces were all the more evident. They were frustrated that their disciples failed to meet their expectations.
“Enough! This is the main hall… What is the meaning of this?!” Jin Delin, whose face was completely black at that point, yelled, silencing the hall.
“What do you guys plan on doing now that the Tongyou Institution is pressing aggressively towards us?” Yin Dezheng swept his gaze across several disciples and asked.
Everyone started looking at each other, but eventually, one of the Martial Dipper Realm disciples who seemed to have the highest prestige stepped out and asked respectfully, “Ancestors, what is the Tongyou Institution’s true motive? Are they planning to exterminate our Triple Frost Palace or are they planning to make us submit to them? Do they wish to chase us out of the Ji Continent so that they can swallow it whole, or are they merely planning to expand their influence here?”
Yin Dezheng, Jin Delin, and Hu Dexun revealed thunderous expressions while hearing the question.
That was because even they had no idea what the Tongyou Institution was up to!
To the current Triple Frost Palace, the Tongyou Institution was a godly beast that they had no hope of rivaling!
If they knew that this day would come, they would never have offended the Tongyou Institution in the first place.
Then again… Who could expect that the Tongyou Institution would rise to become the greatest power in the Spirit Luxuriant World in several tens of years? The institution that once occupied the most desolate of continents actually managed to reach such heights!
It was a shame there was no medicine for regret.
When the ancestors were at a loss of what to do, a transmission passed through the protection formation and rang the ears of everyone present in the hall.
“Our Spirit Luxuriant World is faced with foreign enemies at the moment. Kou Chongxue and Shang Xia won’t make the fatal error by declaring war on you at the moment and cause massive internal strife. They have 1 plan, and 1 plan only. They wish to obtain the Ji Continent so that they can produce another True Immortal!”
The hushed whispers that were starting to break out in the hall were silenced once again by the voice.
The ancestors who had gloomy expressions quickly got to their feet, and they looked a lot more refreshed after hearing who it was. They were no stranger to the voice.
“True Immortal Zhang, please, grace us with your presence.” Yin Dezheng spoke on behalf of the Triple Frost Palace.
A passage opened up in the protection formation of the Triple Frost Palace, but it wasn’t a passage that was exactly very safe.
However, a soft chuckle rang through the air as a blurry figure at the end of the passage disappeared and reappeared in the hall a moment later.
The ancestors of the Triple Frost Palace quickly got to their feet and bowed. “We greet True Immortal Zhang!”
The person who arrived waved his hand nonchalantly and mumbled, “My true body can’t travel across the continents easily, and I’m just a clone. Anyway, I’ll just cut to the chase. How much of the World Origin Source that is connected to your Ji Continent can your Triple Frost Palace control?”
The ancestors exchanged a glance before Yin Dezheng answered, “With our Holy Land, we used to be able to control 60 percent of the World Origin Source connected to the continent. In recent years, the Ji Continent grew slightly and its size surpasses 7,000 miles. There should be more world origin now, but we should still be able to control more than half.”
Zhang Xuansheng looked at them with a smile that didn’t look like a smile. “Looks like your sect has really been putting in effort in controlling the continent…”
Jin Delin took a step forward and bowed respectfully to Zhang Xuansheng’s clone. “True Immortal Zhang, please teach us how we should protect the World Origin Source connected to our Ji Continent!”
“It’s easy. With you 3 alone, you will never be able to beat the Tongyou Institution. When the Ji Continent starts to expand later, you can’t get greedy. No matter how much the World Origin Source connected to your Ji Continent grows, all you need to do is to maintain your control over 50 percent of it. I’ll handle the rest!” Zhang Xuansheng’s clone stated casually.
Hu Dexun’s expression fluctuated slightly and he wanted to speak up multiple times, but he swallowed his words in the end.
Zhang Xuansheng’s clone noticed the change in his expression, but didn’t point it out. Instead, he continued, “If the Tongyou Institution wishes to control the spirituality of the Ji Continent, they need to control 60 percent of the World Origin Source at the very least. The final landmass up there is less than 3,500 miles in size, and if they try to integrate it into the Ji Continent, it might be able to surpass 10,000 miles. If you control as much as you can before, your portion of the World Origin Source connected to the Ji Continent might be reduced to a mere 35 percent. It might be even less. However, if my Northern Sea Mystic Sect interferes, we won’t need to take too much. All we need to do is to take 20 percent or so and with whatever you control, the Tongyou Institution’s plan will end in failure.”
Yin Dezheng frowned. “True Immortal Zhang, if you are willing to help, our Triple Frost Palace can definitely maintain control over 50 percent of the World Origin Source connected to our continent. However… For you to take part in this, you will definitely have to offend the Tongyou Institution with their 2 high-level True Immortals…”
Zhang Xuansheng’s clone didn’t let the smile on his face fade. “What’s the matter? Are you afraid I can’t fight them? Hehe… My Northern Sea Mystic Sect also has 3 True Immortals. Even though we can’t be compared to the Tongyou Institution, we’re not lacking when it comes to controlling 20 percent of the World Origin Source. UnlessIt’s not like we’re trying to crowd them out, why would we lose then?”
Yin Dezheng nearly jumped in joy. “We would have to trouble the True Immortals of your Northern Sea Mystic Sect then…”
Zhang Xuansheng stroked his beard and laughed happily. He turned to look at Hu Dexun who hadn’t spoken and snorted, “You don’t seem too happy with my arrangements.”
Frightened by the sudden question from the True Immortal, Hu Dexun tried to compose himself before he asked, “May I ask… If the Tongyou Institution’s plan falls through, what will happen to the World Origin Source that your Northern Sea Mystic Sect controls? And…”
“Junior Brother Hu…” Yin Dezheng interrupted him before he could continue. “True Immortal Zheng naturally has his plans for the matter. Our Triple Frost Palace just needs to coordinate well with him and not worry about the rest!”
Hu Dexun was slightly taken aback as he stood there with his mouth agape, not knowing how to respond.
Zhang Xuansheng looked at the experts of the Triple Frost Palace with a profound light in his eyes before he turned to leave. His voice rang in the minds of everyone present when his figure was already nowhere to be seen. “I’ll take my leave for now. True Immortal Shang and True Immortal Kou have already made their move. You guys are on your own for now.”
The experts of the Triple Frost Palace poured out of the main hall and looked in the southwestern direction, seeing a massive floating island falling straight towards them.
