I turn around at the voice behind me and see Agatha in her rather flashy black evening gown that almost spills out her breasts with its low tubed design. I frown and quickly averted my eyes and resume walking towards my guests. Although I can feel my secretary’s presence tailing after me, I don’t give her an inkling attention anymore.

“Hi.” I interrupt the gentlemen in a huddle at the other corner and they all turn with wide grins on their faces at my presence. “I’m glad that youre able to attend my launching banquet, gentlemen.”

“Ah, Mr. Damari, we are all very excited to experience Diana Cruise ship! My wife had been practically nagging at me to reserve tickets in advance since it’s been fully booked for the rest of the year as we speak even though tomorrow is only its first trip.”

“Thats right, Mr. Damari. I also bought my parents tickets for the Diana Cruise. It’s their golden anniversary so I don’t mind spending a lot of money for them. Besides, I know with how high class this cruise ship is, I’m confident that my parents will have wonderful and unforgettable experience.”

“I’m planning on proposing to my girlfriend during the cruise. I’m hoping that the luxurious accommodation and the romantic vibe in Diana Cruise will help me coax her to say yes to me.” The young man scratches his nape shyly as the rest of us laugh and cheer him for it.

“I’m pleased to know you have such confidence in me.” I tell all of them as response to their praises.

“A lot of us have been curious, though, Mr. Damari. Why did you name your first independent venture as D&G? Is the D stands for Diana?”

“Yes it is. Just as what youve said, since it’s my first independent venture from my father’s Damari Corporation, so it’s really special. To me, this shipping line is my baby. My princess.”

“Oh, so you mean we’re expecting for more independent ventures for the coming years?” One of them asks in excitement.

“Hmm.” I nod with a smile while thinking for a possible name of my and Diana’s first baby.

“Is Diana the name of your mother?”

“No. My mother’s name is Grace.” I smile at their puzzled faces and refuse answering them when they begin getting curious about the mysterious name.

I chat a little more with them, exchanging ideas and updating ourselves with the latest sports news. It’s a time for celebration tonight so we avoid speaking about work. Although some still tries coaxing me for a future collaboration, I gracefully reject them for another time and place.

I’m a little down because dad can’t attend tonight. Although Lucio has never been greedy with his compliments to me, I still hunger for his commendations whenever I show him my achievements. Because I know among all people, he’s the only one with genuine words of praise. The rest? Well, they’re just a bunch of idiots wanting to ride on my coattail.
