Stalker Husband - Chapter 27:DIANA
“Hey!” I greet but Graysen doesn’t respond as he only stares intently at me through the screen. “Hey, Graysen! Why aren’t you answering?”
“I’m just thinking if I should switch to another phone brand. This devise doesn’t give justice to your beauty.”
I both laugh and cough in embarrassment. “Hey, lover boy. Quit the lip service already ok? You’ve already achieved getting into my pants.”
“Hmm, But it’s not enough. I want to get in there many, many times more.”
“You, pervert!”
“What did you just call me?”
“Pervert!”
“No. The other one.”
I frown and think for a moment before responding. “Lover boy.”
“Take out the ‘boy’ and the ‘r’.”
“What?” I raise my brows in amusement. “You want me to call you love?”
“Hmm. I like it. I’ll call you my princess. Or my sweetheart.”
“Youre too bossy.” I grumble to hide the pleasant feeling that blossoms in my chest. “Are you sure I’m not obstructing your work?”
“I told you, I’ll drop everything to please my princess.” Graysen moves at the other screen, probably resting his phone so that he can free his hands of the device. “Can we meet again? I really miss you.”
“Huh!” I suddenly clutch my chest and roll on my back, bringing the phone with me and raising it up in the air.
“What’s the matter?” Graysen straightens up on his chair. “Are you ok?”
“Yes, I’m fine. I just…” I frown and look away from his intense gaze and settle my eyes at the logo on the wall behind him with D&G initials interweaving intricately. “Graysen…” I look at him again and swallow hard. “Why do I feel like this? You make my heart go crazy.”
The man’s previously tensed shoulders go even more rigid. Afterwards, he slowly relaxes and smiles devilishly at me, resting his chin on his palm. The picture is obviously done to seduce me in a very subtle way. And it’s damn effective. His beauty is just too cruel for my heart.
“Is that so? Should I kiss it for you so it won’t misbehave again?”
I know he’s hinting for us to meet again but I can’t risk it especially when I’m hot under Amy’s radar. “I wish you could but I can’t today. Maybe next time.”
“Is something wrong?” His genuine concern reverberates in his tone.
“Nah. Nothing really. Just a little misunderstanding with my stepsister.” I say vaguely, referring to Amy as an evil stepsister in a typical fairytale story.
“Stepsister?” He arches a brow, seemingly interested. “You can tell me about it.”
“I’m actually new in this town and have been living with a new family right now. There’s this stepsister I just recently met and she really is so mean to me.” I sigh, acting sad for being bullied to gain sympathy from Graysen. “I don’t even know what I did wrong but ever since I came here, she’s never treated me well. I mean aren’t I too good and cute to be hated this much? Isn’t it right, Graysen, my love?”
Graysen suddenly laughs at the other screen. “Hmm. I could kiss you right now. Why are you so adorable, princess? And you’re right. You’re too sweet and beautiful to be hated and she’s probably envious about it. Why don’t you show me to your stepsister and let her be more jealous seeing you with a handsome guy like me.”
“Ugh! So shameless!” I shake my head at him and roll to my tummy once again. “Anyway, it doesn’t matter to me. I don’t hold grudges especially if the person doesn’t really hold a value to me.”
We both chat a little more until I feel my eyes dropping sleepily. But I still try answering Graysen’s questions. But he seems to notice that I’m not paying much attention anymore.
“Sweetheart, if you’re tired, then take a rest. Call me again anytime you want.”
“Graysen, my love, I still want to hear your voice. Listening to you makes me happy.”
He chuckles before raising his phone up. I watch as his face begins getting bigger and nearer on the screen before he plants a kiss at the other side. I close my eyes and smile, imagining him kissing me for real. I want to see him again so bad.
