Stalker Husband - Chapter 30:DIANA
“I’ll wait for you then.” Graysen says at the other line.
“Hmm. See you.” I respond excitedly before ending the call and slide inside the backseat of the car, giving Desmond an apologetic smile. “Sorry to keep you waiting, Desmond.”
“It’s no big deal, Miss Diana. Are we going now?”
“Yes, please.” I nod and sigh happily as I watch the scenery outside the window.
Today I’ll be meeting the couturier to take my measurements for my bridal gown. Although this dress reminds me of the dreadful wedding, I’m also happy to be out of the villa again. I’ve agreed with Graysen to pick me up after my visit to the place. As to my excuse why I’m having a measurement for a gown, I just told him that I’ll be attending a formal event.
I should feel guilty but dear God, I’m even more excited. I must be a black hearted woman. It’s not that I’m actually cheating. My marriage is just an arrangement anyway so there’s no love lost between me and Lucio. Besides, I plan to come clean with Graysen today. I’m going to tell him the truth about my situation.
Desmond pulls up outside “Allure’s” and opens the door for me. I murmur my thanks and let Desmond escorts me inside the shop. According to my research, “Allure” is the most prestigious shop in town and is under D&G business lines. It has more than ten branches scatter around both the country and abroad.
Due to too many buildings I’ve seen under Damari Corp, I’m actually starting to think they own the entire country. Except for other buildings with a D&G logo that also competes with the Damari Corps number of establishments. I think I’ve seen the logo before I just can’t remember where.
I found a middle aged homosexual man as I enter the building. He’s obviously waiting for me as he sits there with a remote on his hand, watching a movie in a low volume. His rather cold demeanor changes as soon as he sees me at the doorway.
“Diana Coleman?” He asks in a lilting voice, his sudden excitement shows at the flashing of his eyes.
“Yes.” I nod and smile back at him.
“Come in. Come in! I’m Elijah.” He stands and hugs me before giving me air kisses to both cheeks. “Hmm, just as Mr. Damari says, you’re pretty lovely.”
“Thank you.” I answer embarrassingly.
He takes a step back and examines my form, nodding to himself like he’s seen an unknown species that he wants to dissect for experimentation. He twirls me from this side and that before making me face him again. His smile widens even more, his eyes shining in mirth.
“What do you do? Do you want to be a model? I have connections that will help you get to the industry.”
“Huh?” I’m honestly surprised but quickly recovered. “I’m a nurse and I don’t have any desire to change career in the foreseeable future.”
“Hmm, what a pity.” Elijah says and his smile dims a little.
He’s a chatterbox while he takes my measurement and tells me about the history of the shop and also the possible change management in the future. Although I’d love to exchange more information to Elijah, I’m also anxious to have Graysen waiting for me.
So I bid Elijah a quick goodbye and implore him if I can use the back exit of the building. He doesn’t question me why but asks in exchange to give him a call about his offer for a modeling career. Although a little hesitant, I quickly take his offer and left.
I immediately spot Graysen at the back of the building. He’s leaning against his car, posture relaxed and admirable. I could stand here and just watch him model a car for me for hours. Why is this man so handsome? Just a sight of him makes my heart beat wild and crazy.
