Stalker Husband - Chapter 44:GRAYSEN
“Didn’t you tell they’re coming in the hospital today?”
“Yes, Mr. Damari.” Albert nods while playing with his pocket knife with expertise.
I require Albert to wound himself just so I have the reason to take him to hospital. I don’t mean to harm my bodyguard with his life. Just a graze will be enough. After all, it’s just an excuse to “accidentally” meet with my wife.
However, we’ve been sitting in the car for almost an hour and Desmond hasn’t driven into the hospital’s parking lot. I’m starting to worry. Desmond told Albert earlier that they’ve already left the villa. So they’re supposed to have arrived thirty minutes ago.
With a frown, I pull out my phone and dial Desmond. My frown deepens when the man doesn’t pick up the call. What the hell is going on? I call the villa next since I’m getting anxious and impatient from the long wait. Julius answers the phone at the other end.
“Julius, it’s Graysen. Where’s Diana?”
“Desmond has driven Miss Diana to the hospital, Mr. Damari, and that’s been more than an hour ago.”
“Well, Desmond isn’t picking up my call. What’s going on?” I growl in agitation. “If I don’t find her after another hour, you call the cops.”
“Understood, Mr. Damari.”
I end the call and switch on the tracker I put on Diana. I grip my phone tight when her location says she’s still in Greenfield. Impossible! I pocketed my phone and order Albert in a grim expression.
“Drive to the villa, Al.”
The tires screech as Albert drives the car beyond speeding limit. He knows when the situation is dire especially it’s my wife that we’re talking about. Halfway towards the Greenfield private road, Desmond’s assigned car is haphazardly parked at the ditch.
Even before Albert can step on the brakes, I’ve fled out of the car and rush to the abandoned car on the road. My blood leaves from my face when I see half of Desmond’s body hanging out of the door, blood pooling out from his body. Diana is nowhere in the scene. Shit!
“Desmond!” I frantically call while pulling him out of the car to check his wounds. “Desmond! Wake up, buddy. What the hell happened?”
“Mr. Damari, kindly step aside first.” Albert says as he calmly kneels beside me, taking Desmond from my hold. “I can easily determine the fatality of his wounds if I know where hes been hit.”
I let Albert take Desmond and inspect his body for his wounds. Desmond may not be dead but his breathing is alarmingly slow and far in between. When Albert’s face goes dim, we immediately help each other take Desmond into the car and drive him to the nearest hospital.
“I’ll take care of Desmond. Kindly call your connections to look for Diana. She’s in danger!”
“I’ll do my best, Mr. Damari.” Albert pulls his phone out to make some calls.
I’m confident that Desmond and Albert’s agency can help me with this case. They’re top one in the security agency in the country and has the top notch surveillance team. I’m just hoping that it’s not yet late to save my wife from the psycho that took her. I’m going to let them pay for this!
While Desmond is being treated, I’m pacing back and forth outside the operating room, feeling nervous and scared shitless for both Desmond and Diana. My wife. Please, be safe. I can’t imagine what I’ll feel or do if something happens to Diana. But not knowing her status at all makes it all the more agonizing.
