Stalker Husband - Chapter 8:GRAYSEN
“Hello, Mr. Damari.” Albert greets at the other line.
“Hello, Al. What’s the update about my wife right now?” I ask happily while signing some documents in the office.
“Miss Diana is in a good disposition, Mr. Damari.” Albert reports. “As of this moment, she’s leaving the campus ground with some friends.”
“Hmm, that’s good. Friends are good.” I answer indulgingly. “What else?”
“I heard that one of her girl friends is having a debut and she’s been invited. They decided that Michael is going to pick up Miss Diana to drive her to the debutant’s house.”
“Michael?” I frown and stop signing the documents before picking up the receiver and plaster it on my ear. “Is this the same guy you told me about that’s pursuing my wife? I thought he’s been rejected already?”
“Yes, Mr. Damari. But they remained friends.”
I rub my temple at the impending headache. Doesn’t my little Diana know that even after being rejected, if the guy remains being friends with the female, it means the dude is still hopeful? I don’t fucking trust this guy one bit. Damn me to hell, but I don’t trust any other male other than myself when it comes to my princess. She’s my wife, after all!
“Send me the address of the debutant. You may leave once I arrive at the place.”
“Understood, Mr. Damari.”
I end the call and continue singing the documents away until my phone chimes with Albert’s message. I then push the stack of papers off and stand, taking my coat from my seat and march out of the door.
“Agatha, I’ll be out for the entire afternoon. Make sure to reschedule everything while I’m gone.”
I frown but continue walking towards the lift. Am I being full of myself? Because I really think Agatha is into me. From the way she eagerly pleases me and her happy vibe which seems to have no end. I brush the idea away and get down to the basement. Probably that’s just what she really is.
When Desmond pulls up outside a regular-sized bungalow house, it’s already nighttime and the party is on full swing. Even from this distance, I can still feel the rough bass of the music vibrating the ground like earthquake.
I peer out of my window with impatience, hoping to see a shadow of my wife. Albert knocks on the window of the passengers seat before opening the door and climbs in.
“Tell me what happened.” I prompt.
“I tried sneaking inside but I think my built and age is too noticeable that’s why I was chased away. But not before I caught Miss Diana having a few drinks already.”
“Drink?” I repeat in displeasure.
She’s still young to be drinking. Besides, she’s with that asshole Michael. No one knows what he’ll attempt to do if he brings a drunk Diana back home. Although Diana’s household have a couple of housekeepers under my pay, they still leave the house as soon as they finish their duties which means Diana will be alone at home with Michael later on. Not good!
“I’ll go and take her home.”
