Standing Right Next To You - Chapter 344

Lina’s cheeks burned red after she witnessed her sweet and kind Ruby behaving like a hooligan.

“Ruby!” She yelled out his name in surprise and covered her palm over his mouth.

‘When did he become such a dirty talker!?’ Lina wondered incredulously as she tried hard not to blush but the red cheeks had given her away a long time ago.

It was true that she had reached her orgasm by using his body but for him to remind her of the same was something she had never expected.

‘The righteous CEO is getting corrupted under my influence!’ She took the blame on her head for his villainous behavior.

The Reuben Ming she had met earlier did not speak such crude words and the only explanation she could find was that he had been tainted by her wicked ways.

Though this was not true in the least bit, nothing could stop Lina from taking credit for this change in the man.

Reuben held her hand which was over his mouth and pulled it away to let him speak.

“Did I say something wrong?” He inquired as though he was unaware of the lewd words he had just spoken.

‘I want to tease her more when she has that panic-stricken look on her face.’ His urge to make her blush heightened after taking a proper look at her face.

However, his mischievous plans were interrupted by the knock on the door.

Peeping in through the crack that opened up in the door, Mathew Kim glanced at the couple who were in each other’s arms.

“Sorry to disturb you, Boss!” He cried out and banged the door shut.

Lina chortled after witnessing how scared Matthew was of Reuben and then glanced at the man on whose lap she had been seated all along.

“What are you waiting for? Call him back in!” She urged her boyfriend to do as she had told.

Reuben’s plans to tease her were thwarted by the man who had the guts to peek into the room when he clearly wanted to spend some quality time with his Kitten.

‘I will deal with him later on.’ Reuben sneered in his heart as he nodded to the orders she had given.

Outside the office, Mathew was covering his palms over his mouth to help him hold in the squeals of joy that were bursting out of him.

The muffled screeches made Benji take a step away to avoid being in earshot of the man who couldn’t control his emotions.

Mathew did not pay him any heed as he jumped around to celebrate the scene that he had just witnessed.

His Ice Emperor actually had a woman in his arms without an ounce of disgust visible on his face.

This called for celebrations in his books and he would be sure to pop a bottle of champagne once he reached home.

“Assistant Kim!” A loud voice coming from the room that he had just fled from made him halt in his excited actions.

The next moment, Benji was stunned to see the man who was acting like a child, jumping around the room was now standing with his back stiff and his expressions back to the neutral state.

Mathew knocked on the door once again and upon receiving permission, he entered the office room with the other assistant in tow.

Upon entering the room, they noticed that Lina and Reuben were now seated on the same couch but they were seated next to each other rather than the previous position that Mathew had caught a glimpse of.

‘You saved me today! I’ll make sure to repay this favor!’ Lina vowed as she smiled at the assistants.

There was no way that she could bring herself to answer the question that Reuben had asked, therefore she was relieved when she heard the knock which had disturbed their conversation.

Mathew tilted his head, unable to comprehend why Lina was staring at him with gratitude filled in her eyes but he nonetheless smiled back at her.

“Boss, it’s time for lunch.” He whispered the reason why he had made an abrupt entry into the room earlier.

Reuben had asked him to remind them when it was time to leave and he was only following orders.

“I have asked the restaurant to prepare fresh seafood for the Madam.” Mathew jested as he chuckled while glancing at Lina.

The woman who was called ‘Madam’ blushed and glared at him playfully.

Just as Mathew had won Lina’s favor by saving her earlier, he had also won Reuben’s favor by calling his girlfriend in the appropriate manner.

“Good job.” He praised his attentive Eunuch whose actions today were pleasing to his eyes.

Mathew grinned as he had managed to gain the approval of his cold boss who was stingy with his kind words.

Raising from his seat, the CEO extended his hand to the fair maiden who sat next to him.

Once the two were on their feet, the four of them exited the room and once again walked towards the elevator.

This time there weren’t any secretaries to watch their actions as they had all gone to have their lunch.

As they entered the CEO’s private elevator, Lina blushed when the memories of the lewd deeds they had done reappeared in her mind.

Reuben kept a watchful yet silent eye at his Kitten’s flushed cheeks and took her hand in his.

Riding down in the elevator, they headed straight to the underground parking lot where a car waited for them.

The entire parking lot was deserted as everyone had already left for lunch, leaving them free to move without the fear of being spotted by any of the employees.

Since there were already four of them, Mathew decided to drive the car himself to let the bosses have some privacy in the backseat.

The two assistants would be in the front while the bosses would occupy the backseats.

Benji wanted to drive as he was worried that the incident which had taken place when they arrived at Ming Enterprises would repeat itself.

However, the lack of license to drive a vehicle in this country was his biggest disadvantage which he was going to rectify real soon.

“I will be alright, Benji.” Lina reassured him when she caught the concern on his face.

Benji looked at her in silence for a few seconds as though he was trying to assess her condition before he nodded his head.

‘She isn’t as pale as she was when we were in the lobby.’ He analyzed her rosy cheeks and his worries abated.

“Let me know if you feel any discomfort.” He reminded her in a stern tone as she was one who tended to keep everything bottled up inside her until the very last minute.

Mathew and Reuben frowned when they heard the vague exchange between the two.

“Did something happen?” Reuben interrogated as he alternated his gaze between the pair of employer and employee.

Just as Benji had expected, Lina was quick to shake her head in refusal.

“She almost had another episode when we came to your office building.” Benji ratted her out without mercy.

‘Whose side are you on, snitch!?’ Lina glared at the assistant who was speaking more than he should.

However, it was already too late as the man sitting next to her was emitting a chilling aura which made everything gulp in fear.
