Struggle Of Love - Chapter 12 The Reunion
“I’m going guys,” I told them. “College tomorrow?” Ai asked. “I will be back.” I said as I closed the door to our room.
After an hour I reached the cozy restaurant Jessy decided for us to meet up. It is named Axil cafe but it was more of a restaurant, possibly a hotel. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by Ton and Jessy. Ton soon stood and we hugged. Though we have a day difference in our times in this world, we are still the twins of our group. As broke the hug, I caught Jessy’s angry eyes looking at me. God, what did I ever do to this woman?
“What is it Jessy? Why are you being so mean?” I could have taken this treatment for a little longer but why should I when I can as well end it here if possible? She was never more worse to me. She was the least friendly person. But, still she has her own place to fill amongst us.
She only turned her head away. But after few seconds, she spoke again as I took my seat beside Ton who was still standing. “May will be here soon. It will be appreciated if you keep calm and not talk things with her.”
“What? Why?” Ton asked.
We ignored him. He did miss out on certain details because he only knew from me and I decided to skip some information to my benefit.
“Really, what did she say this time? You always believe her when she tells on me. You know how very rude I can be.” I said sarcastically, she was the cold one. This is, in fact the rudest I have ever been in all my life; and nope, I’m not exaggerating. I don’t even talk as much as the others and last time May had told her that I was being ‘very rude’ to her. I could not believe it but later I had to. After all, her determination to get rid of me is something that would not fade away, until when – I don’t know.
“She said nothing. Just stay away from her.”
“Look, I do what I want to.” Just as I said that, James walked towards us and I gestured Ton who still looked pretty confused, to just sit. James better doesn’t find anything out of normal. Right now, he has become my priority rather than May. But I don’t have a proper reasoning for my worry lately; something is terribly wrong is what my intuition tells me. I took some steps towards him as he walked around the table to me.
“Sai!” He smiled cheerfully and we hugged.
“How are you?”
“I’m fine kid.” He calls us that. Ton and me. It isn’t funny though. He sure is times more matured than we would be in the next few years. Anyone would know that by seeing how kind he is to everyone. The pitiable thing though is that he is partnered with Jessie. Though is unusually caring and good towards him, I can’t help but be biased. Everything is mutual, after all.
“Oh, and I just ordered. Let’s sit,” he continued.
Ton thankfully started explaining us what he has been up to. Apparently, he has become a game developer. He used to hack our accounts when we were younger. In point of fact, he had been a reckless gamer all along. Taking away the other player’s controls, over-clocking computers and not caring about their permitted voltages as long as he was faster enough to win the game were his favourite pass times. His pocket money would often go into replacing hardware that he damaged by taking full control of the systems. He loved the computers enough to sit with them for considerable time unlike any of the rest of us.
