Stuck as a Villain! - Chapter 186: I gave up on her
The chain that bound Seth and Saito soon disintegrated as victor walked out with a broken hand and several cuts and bruises over his body. His clothes were torn and the only thing covering him was the remnants of his trousers.
Arata was the one who darted toward Seth and supported him by the shoulder. The other two soon plucked out their daze as they saw Seth nearing.
“Saito made my dream come true.” Hearing Arata’s words, Seth chuckled slightly.
“Your dream was to make me see in tatters?” Given Arata’s animosity toward Seth, the latter was only able to deduce such.
However, Arata shook his head and informed him, “He broke you out of your shell, which none of us here was able to accomplish.”
Seth’s brows rose slightly hearing that.
‘Now that he says…’ Indeed, it may be the first time that Seth acted based on his previous life self. He didn’t care about how people would see him. He wasn’t worried about how his actions could change the flow of the plot.
Seth was just…himself.
Arata allowed Seth to be supported by his two lovers, before the sword wielder rushed toward the fallen violet-haired.
“Careful…” Cautiously the two led Seth toward a small boulder before slowly helping him sit on the ground with his back against the boulder.
“Ugh…” Seth groaned slightly as his wound once again began to bleed because of contraction.
Anabelle panicked before she began to form the highest grade of healing spell for Seth. The tears in her eyes didn’t allow her to see the incoming smack at the back of her head.
*SMACK*
“Are you out of your mind, Anabelle?”
“Ah…” Anabelle was broken out of her stupor as she got scolded by Maydeath for a very reasonable cause.
If a person overuses their soul energy or has returned from a grave battle, it is advisable to not apply a high-grade grade healing spell on them, or their Soul Core might lose their natural ability to generate Soul Energy. Worst case, Seth might have lost his life because of a broken Core.
“It’s okay, May. She wasn’t doing it intentionally.” Holding Anabelle’s hand to console the weeping girl, Seth assured the redhead.
Maydeath huffed before she took out some first aid and bandages from her spatial storage and sat on the other side.
Anabelle, this time diligently began to work, using some low-grade healing spells that prevented any further blood loss and also helped repair his broken arm. Despite her initial unnerve, she was able to collect herself enough to tend Seth.
Maydeath began patching his wounds and using cooling ointments on his burns. Despite knowing that Anabelle could heal everything up within minutes, her troubled heart wasn’t allowing her to sit idly.
Seth could only sigh with a thin smile stretching his lips as he got nursed by the two.

On the other side, as Arata approached his fallen ex-classmate, he saw that Saito was getting healed up in no time. His broken arms were fixing up and so was his throat, which was bleeding profusely just a moment ago.
‘Incredible…is this some sort of high-ranking healing magic…’ Arata doubted. After all, to apply healing magic, one needs to be awake and chant the self-healing spells.
Then was it an artifact after all? Arata threw his questions for later as he helped Saito get up.
“Ughh…It hurts everywhere…” Saito grumbled as he slowly woke up from a haze.
“You were thrashed really bad,” Saito grumbled some more as he realized that he had actually lost the battle to Seth. Again.
But this time, Saito wasn’t as bitter as before. At least he was able to make Seth struggle slightly. This much progress was enough for now~
“Here you go, again. I bet you are planning another ambush on Seth already.” Arata sighed, very well aware of Saito’s behavior and thought process.
Arata was aware, of why Saito was so much salty toward Seth, but he still couldn’t understand that reason.
Just because Seth was perfect in his previous life and was always the one who ended up saving the day, made Saito quite jealous. That much was understandable…but was that enough to follow Seth even in the second life with the thirst for his blood still alive and raging?
Indeed, absurd.
“Nah, I won’t pull a fast one and honorably challenge him next time.” Saito sighed as he rested his palms against the ground and back tilted. He was finally able to calm his agitation after waiting for so long.
“So you still are going to target him, eh?” Arata smiled wryly as he realized how Saito still had the will to go against Seth despite having observed the difference between their strength levels.
“I mean, I live with that motive…but what about you? You weren’t able to accomplish your ambition?” Naturally, being close friends, Saito also knew, for what Arata had given up on his life on that cliff, and why he was seeking strength all this long.
Hearing his question, Arata’s gaze fleetingly glanced at the certain redhead who was currently wrapping the bandage around Seth’s arm.
Shaking his head, Arata replied in a slightly heavier tone, “I gave up on her.”
Arata has long pondered on this matter, and after a lot of deliberation, he decided that it was better if he kept Maydeath happy from the shadow. Even if she doesn’t like him, it wouldn’t stop Arata from doing everything in his power to ensure that she lives a good life…along with Seth.
The brief silence was soon shattered by Saito’s comment on that,
“Good for you.”
Arata raised his brows in surprise before he asked, “You aren’t going to advise me to keep pursuing her?” Saito was the only person in their last life who always pushed Arata to chase Maydeath, but now, things have changed, it seemed.
“I mean…looking at her true self, I deduce it is a lost cause chasing after Miyuki any longer.”
Arata once again looked at Maydeath, only to find her sharing some intimate moments with Seth in his arms. Grumbling, he turned his head away, before some words escaped his throat,
“Seriously…how that guy does things so naturally.”
“God knows…”

A/N: – I was thinking to keep it a secret…but I cannot. Once again, I am going to tear my another work in two parts.
Yes, the first part of ‘Stuck as a Villain’ is about to end within ten or so chapters.
I consulted a good friend of mine and also an experienced author and he also said that it’s better to break the story in two parts rather than rushing the end. And believe me, there are a lot of things I need to add to this book before I can actually land on a satisfactory end. Sorry if this would have made you upset, but it can’t be helped.
