Stuck as a Villain! - Chapter 191: Plans
“What’s your problem, Seth? The conversation was going fine and suddenly you decided to meddle, and ended up angering that lady.”
Once the pale woman was gone, Arata voiced his displeasure about the fact that Seth needed to be always rude to people.
From Arata’s perception, the lady was here to dictate the role of the six and tell them about the required training they need to go through, to be prepared for what to come.
Surely, the information she gave about their past and present was a little mind-wobbling and everyone would require some time to digest everything, but that doesn’t provide the license for Seth to behave inappropriately.
“Shut it or you will regret it, Arata.” Anabelle’s threatening voice was colder than the breeze inside the palace, as she maintained her eyes on him; ready to deploy a very painful spell, which surely would hurt Arata for days.
“I am just asking the obvious…in just a little louder tone. However, the question persists, that is why Seth had to intervene only to anger her.”
Arata visibly sobered up a little, as he realized how he nearly yelled at Seth, but he didn’t back off from his stance.
Seth didn’t remain silent on that and while cleaning his glasses, he replied, “This game is so messed up that not taking precaution seems nothing but foolish.”
Arata frowned before he asked, “What’s there complicated about? We died, then lived as normal teenagers and now we are back on track to finish our job. I don’t see anything fishy here.”
Hearing Arata’s response, Seth rubbed his eyes in defeat.
This guy…is really like the character he has transmigrated as—Seth inwardly muttered.
Maydeath, who sensed Seth’s emotions, took the reign to elaborate,
“There is nothing like coincidence or anything like that, Arata. The manipulation we faced in our last life. The fact that none of the past wars ended in a proper conclusion yet this time, the heavenly beings are going out of their way to bless and all…don’t you think it’s too good to be true?”
Arata blinked in surprise…and shut his mouth. Well, he indeed has something to rebuke about, but when it’s Maydeath talking, he finds himself shut up right away.
Well, there was someone else in the place who didn’t have such a reaction against Maydeath, so voicing his mind didn’t seem to be a problem for him,
“Challenging Life and Death…are you sure they won’t end up killing us again and give this chance to our successors?” Saito spoke in a casual tone while throwing some stones toward a flower vase.
“If they really had to replace us, then after seeing the reckless actions of yours and Kyouko’s, those heaven residents would have done that earlier, no?”
Seth’s words earned a growl from Saito…but he didn’t say anything against it.
Indeed, Saito has lost his life thrice by now and Kyouko, god knows how many times has died because of her stupid curiosity…which solidifies Seth’s theory.
“So what are we going to do?”
Anabelle asked in her natural tone, feeling a little overwhelmed, now that her thoughts settled.
For some reason, when it was about conclusion, every eye turned toward Seth for an answer.
The person in question remained silent for a bit, but in the end, he didn’t think much about this nonsensical situation.
“We have two weeks, so enjoy your independence as much as you can. Meet family and friends. Spend time on your hobbies and do everything that you have put in your to-do list.”
With his gaze falling toward the painting of none other than Sahna Ranghaur, Seth finished,
“After all, who knows what fate is waiting for us, once these two weeks go by.”

After the group of six walked out of the cave, Arata and Saito departed away, not together. They didn’t say anything after Seth verbalized their current predicament and just bid their farewell.
Laila hadn’t woken up from her slumber even after Seth tried to, so he was carrying her in his arms and walked with the other two, through the forest.
“So…what are your plans, Seth?” Either to break the silence or Maydeath genuinely was curious, she asked in a hesitant voice.
Seth had already somehow planned out what he was going to do for the next few days, so he didn’t take long to respond,
“Hmm… a few days with family, then will meet some friends and officials…then some preparations.”
Hearing his plans, the two ladies found their shoulders dropping in disappointment. Surely, he would like to spend these days with his family when no one knows what would occur once the Messenger summoned them again.
However, soon his following words ignited a new ray of hope for them,
“The last seven days…I would like you two to meet some people who are important to me. If you may, please try to get along with them.”
The fact that Maydeath and Anabelle were in his schedule was enough to bring a smile to their faces…
…however, due to their elation, they didn’t even consider knowing about the person whom Seth would be introducing them to.
“What about you, Anabelle?” Hearing Seth’s voice, the said girl broke out of her daze and answered reflexively,
“I will…go back to my hometown and spend some time with my mother. Unlike my past life, this Mother of mine, actually cares for me, not my talent and such.”
Seth wryly smiled upon remembering Mayu’s mother in the last life, as he nodded in understanding.
“I am also thinking of visiting the Headmistress of the Academy. She has been like a guardian to me since I woke up in this world. But don’t worry, I will be back in a few days.”
Seth told them to not rush things and only return once they have properly bid their farewell to their respective families.
‘Now…it’s just the two weeks we have…who knows, what we may have to face once that lady reappears….’
