Stuck In A World Of Magic - Chapter 3 Chapter Three
“Ah! N-Nothing.”
Shaking my head, I looked down as my bangs covered my eyes.
No silver in this world? Then how am I supposed to find the bracelet?
Petals fluttered in the wind, landing onto the waterfall. The water rippled around with their surrounding movements, gracefully directing the petals down onto the lake.
“Where is Mariniane?”
The natives glanced at one another, chuckling.
“Mariniane is an Isthmus*. The closest island is Glaciare, the home of the Ice spirits.”
“Ah… I see…”
I look beside me and see something I didn’t see just now… At the centre of the lake, was a pedestal.
On the pedestal was a beautiful, elegant sword with brilliant light surrounding it, foliage framing the view.
Almost automatically, I reached out to the sword.
The sword shook, taking the whole island as it did.
The water rippled, slowly turning into splashes. Droplets of water gravitated up, levitating and splashing down into the water, seeming to ripple into starlight.
The sword lifted, heading my direction, wind splitting and pushing half the field of grass left, and half, right.
It was about to fly past me when I, miraculously, grabbed onto the handle. The impact made the wind blow everything past me, yet not affecting me at all.
Gasps were heard as I swung the sword and the wind picked up speed around me, tossing all of the flowers into disarray.
“The thousand year sword! Legend says it’s been there since forever!”
“Woah! Her magic suddenly spiked!”
“Really?”
I eyed the sword, studying it as a sense of deja vu washed over me.
It was made of gold, and the blade was, apparently, polished obsidian. The gold twisted and turned, moulding itself into a solid crossguard. A solid bar of gold made up the handle, and engraved polished obsidian, however, were the words ‘A cosmic dance of infinite possibilities.’
There were diamonds encrusting the handle, and the pommel was a huge pearl about the size of a grapefruit, with a titanium circle around the pearl, circling it like it was an axis of rotation.
“Huh, what’s this feeling?”
*Isthmus: An Isthmus is a narrow piece of land connecting two larger areas across an expanse of water.
