Suddenly, I Can Duplicate Money - Chapter 51
The Family Head could not help but remain quiet as he looked at the attendant that disturbed them during Song Jian’s punishment. The news that he landed on them truly was quite shocking, but even more, it made him lose face– something that should never happen to the Family Head.
He just told Song Jian that Yun Hao would never do anything for her, but here he was, barging through their family gates like he wasn’t afraid of anything. But most importantly… did he just ask them if they wanted trouble?
“Bring that bastard here now!”
“A… at once!” The attendant bowed clumsily before rushing to the outside.
“How dare that bastard make trouble in our estate!? Who does he think he is!?” The Family Head’s head looked like it was about to blow up as his face almost turned as red as their hair color.
“Uncle, your blood pressure is starting to affect your dantian, please calm down.”
“What do you mean calm down!? Do I not look calm to you!?”
While the higher members of the Song family were agitated with the current development, Song Jian, on the other hand, could not believe what was happening as her face was also as red as cherry, and considering the blood she had already lost, this showed how dazed she was.
Did that attendant just say that Yun Hao… Yun Hao wanted her!? Although the pain crawling from her leg was still causing her body to tremble, her mind was completely zoning and filtering out the pain.
What should she even do once he arrives here? Run into his arms and hug him? Maybe grab his hand and run away completely from her family? Then maybe they could have a baby in the future.
Song Jian started to cover her face from the random jumping thoughts she was having. But finally, after a few more minutes, the young man that caused all of this commotion arrived on the scene.
“Song Jian!”
However, contrary to her expectations, she was not able to jump onto Yun Hao’s arms as Huang Yi was currently walking in front of him.
“…” Although she should be happy that Huang Yi would always be her loyal friend, maybe she should have scoot just a little bit to the side.
“Yiyi, you’re the one who brought this bastard into our home!?”
“Hello, Grandpa Chao.” Even though the Family Head was already fuming from his nose, Huang Yi just casually waved her hand at him, “It’s been a long ti–”
“Silence! I am done talking to you. I will make sure Huang’s Family Head knows about this!”
“…” Huang Yi could only writhe in contemplation as she heard the Song Family Head’s words. She was already getting in too much trouble with her family since she has not been attending their meetings, and now this. She better be compensated after this whole fiasco was over, she thought as she walked over to Song Jian to check on her.
“And you, you are Yun Hao!?” Song Chao then focused his attention towards Yun Hao, who had been quiet ever since he entered the hall, “I have heard great and bad things about you, but to think only the bad had its authenticity.”
“I am just here to–”
“Silence!”
Yun Hao was not even allowed to talk as Song Chao’s voice thundered across the entire hall, causing the dozen pillars that support it to tremble, “You said that if we don’t hand over Song Jian, you would cause trouble!? Are you capable?”
“Wait… what?” Yun Hao could not help but blink a couple of times as he heard the old man’s words.
Yun Hao did not say that. Yes, he did tell the attendant that he wanted to get Song Jian since she was getting punished, but he didn’t say that he wanted trouble. In fact, what he specifically said was that he did not want any trouble.
He was here to apologize and ask what he could do to repay them.
Did… the attendant sabotage him or something? Yun Hao then looked towards the attendant that escorted them here, only to see him smirking mischievously at the side.
“…” Just what the fuck is wrong with cultivators, Yun Hao thought. Did they exist to make his life harder and even more complicated than it was? Did he kill a god of cultivation in his previous life? Was that it?
“I think there’s been a misunderstanding,” Yun Hao then raised his hands in surrender. He already had enough beating in one day from a force he couldn’t handle, he wouldn’t want to try his luck with an even greater force. Since the old man prancing in front of him seemed to be the Head of the family, it would make sense for him to be at the Grandmaster rank– the last cultivators legally allowed to stay inside Safe Zones.
“I am just here to–”
“I understand enough, young man,” the Family Head stomped his foot on the ground, causing the ceiling of the large hall to open up, revealing the already darkening sky and its sedated lights to shower the people inside the hall.
“You are a frog wishing to eat a swan’s meat!”
“…What?”
Yun Hao could only breathe in confusion as the people that were previously seated at the end of the hall all started to stand up and transfer to different sides of the hall, surrounding the center. And before he could even figure out what was happening, he felt the marbled floor beneath him shake as it extruded upwards by a meter, creating a very familiar platform.
Recognizing what the shape of the platform was, Yun Hao could only shake his head in frustration.
“Words are not enough, young man,” the Family Head, who was right in the center of the stage, clapped his hand. And as soon as he did so, several people leaped onto the platform, “Prove your worth by your fists! These are all disciples of our family that have a similar rank with you, choose who you will challenge!”
“You don’t need to do this, Yun Hao!” Song Jian finally broke her silence as she rushed to Yun Hao. But sadly, before she could even reach halfway, several masked people blocked her path, “Just go!”
“…” Song Jian was not able to get near him, but it was enough for Yun Hao to see the blood-stained footsteps that Song Jian left on the floor. Seeing this, Yun Hao could not help but feel a sudden irritation growing inside him.
And perhaps it was too late, he could no longer stop it from bursting out inside of him. He tilted his head, cracking his as he looked at the 5 people lined up on stage, looking at them one by one. But then, his eyes landed towards the young man standing on the most left.
It was the attendant that purposely sabotaged him. Seeing this, Yun Hao let out a small smile, mixed with a slight scoff as he nodded his head. He wanted trouble? Then Yun Hao will him trouble.
“You all look weak,” Yun Hao said as he walked across that platform, examining the disciples one by one like he was just shopping for a new glove,
“Especially you,” he then said as he stopped right in front of the attendant.
The attendant didn’t say anything, but he didn’t need to as his trembling eyebrows gave away his indignation.
“Ho, so you are challenging the weakest looking one?” Song Chao let out a scoff as he shook his head, “Very well, you–”
“No,” Yun Hao did not let the Family Head finish his as he stepped away from the attendant while shaking his head as well, “You misunderstood me, respectable Song Clan Head. They all look weak…
….So I might as well fight them all at the same time.”
