Suddenly, I Can Duplicate Money - Chapter 65
“Ah… fuck.”
As the grey-claw mole slowly turned its disgusting head towards Sun Fang, the only thought he had in his mind was that he wanted to cut his stupid tongue off. He became too excited that Jia Su’s plan of letting it and the ants kill each other was working, that he completely forgot that they were still right in the middle of the fray.
‘Maybe it was just stretching its neck?’– Was what Sun Fang thought before the grey-claw mole started rushing towards him. He just had to test his luck, didn’t he?
“Sun Fang!”
A thin wall of fire instantly blazed in front of Sun Fang as Jia Ning raised her hand. But with her attention focused on another, she left herself completely defenseless for the giant ants that were still rushing towards them even with the presence of a predator.
“Kh!”
Jia Ning could not help but wince in pain as a small piece of her arm was chomped off. If it wasn’t for Yun Hao smashing the head of the ant away, her bone would have surely exposed itself.
“T… thank y–”
“Focus!” Yun Hao did not let her finish her words as he ran towards the rushing grey-claw mole.
“You’re starting to piss me off!” Yun Hao roared, allowing its attention to transfer from Sun Fang as it quickly waved its claw towards the approaching Yun Hao. Yun Hao, however, quickly leaned his torso back to an almost 90-degree angle. He almost lost balance as the claw attached itself to his shirt, ripping its front completely.
His right foot stomped the ground as he was able to stand his ground, he then stretched his arms and opened up his palms, before whipping both of them towards the grey-claw mole’s head, right on each of its ears.
“!!!”
A disgusting shrill traveled through the air as the grey-claw mole’s movements instantly became erratic, waving its claws everywhere.
“Thought so,” Yun Hao muttered through his breath as he quickly backed away. A smile slowly rose up on his face as he watched the claws of the mole cleaved the giant ants that dared to go near it.
“Quick thinking, Yun Hao,” Jia Su whispered as he continued to kick away the giant ants. It would seem that even with a bigger predator around them, the giant ants were still adamant in devouring them– the weaker creature.
Jia Su only had his 12 regular meridians unlocked, so he doesn’t really have anything in his arsenal to kill off two of these ants at once, causing him to only focus on them. But still, he still spent a time to glance at Yun Hao.
At one point, he would even consider Yun Hao ignorant. His wasteful use of qi, lack of knowledge about everything that had to do with cultivation made on almost irritated. Perhaps it was because of this hidden hatred he had for cultivators, but he really should start changing that soon.
But seeing him now, killing off the giant ants at the same rate as they arrive, Jia Su was once again reminded of the abnormal battle sense he had. There was also the fact that he rushed towards the grey-claw mole, ‘blinding’ it by smashing its ears in.
Sure, any one of them could have probably done that; but the proficiency, accuracy, as well as the guts, to do it was of a different matter completely. The grey-claw mole has the capability of killing all of them by itself– it will only take one swing to cleanly cleave the bodies of Mortal realm cultivators.
Jia Su himself had thought of what Yun Hao did, but he never really voiced it out as he thought no one was crazy enough to try it. But here was Yun Hao, fighting off the giant ants as if what he just did was just something to shrug off.
“Yun Hao, take a rest–”
And before Jia Su could even finish his words, Yun Hao suddenly rushed towards the hysterical grey-claw mole. “What are you doing, Yun Hao?”
Jia Su wanted to scream, but the fact that there should be another grey-claw mole somewhere sedated his voice. He could only watch as Yun Hao leaped towards danger with a smile on his face.
Yun Hao raised both his hand to the air, before clapping them and quickly moving to the side. With the sound of his clap slightly getting the attention of the frenzied beast, Yun Hao took this chance to punch it on the head, straight towards its left ear.
Although the grey-claw mole slightly moved to the side, it would seem that it wasn’t enough to hurt it, as it just snarled, its 3 overlapping mouths seemingly trembling in frustration as it once again waved its claws everywhere.
This time, though, instead of leaping back, Yun Hao continued to rush head-on, dodging its claws while letting out a punch of his own. And his fists, no matter if it was the left or the right, always only landed on one area- the mole’s left ear.
“Holy… fuck,” Jia Su muttered as he watched Yun Hao dodge all of the grey-claw mole’s berserker barrage, “Holy fuck.” If only he wasn’t so busy trying to stave off the ants, his eyes would not leave Yun Hao.
Yun Hao continued to swiftly deliver his punches, until finally, the grey-claw mole’s legs momentarily shivered, causing it to back down. One of his punches may have been meaningless, but no matter how strong this creature was, its brain would still be affected by the numerous punches it took– not to mention he always struck its left ear, slowly but surely disorienting it.
Seeing this, Yun Hao wanted to take this chance to give it a beating, but before he could do so, the giant ants that were somewhat avoiding the grey-claw mole earlier all swarmed towards it.
“…”
Yun Hao could only watch as even the giant ants that were relentlessly rushing towards Sunf Fang and the others all turned around to swarm over the grey-claw mole. The two species of beasts once again started fighting off one another. Even with the almost hundred giant ants threatening to devour it, the grey-claw mole was still able to cleave three of them in one single swing.
But with one of its swings, 5 more rushed towards it; the only thing it could do was let out a roar as soon, one of the giant ants was able to bite its hide.
“We should probably go,” Jia Su then patted Yun Hao on the shoulder, “That roar is a call for help, its reinforcements would be arriving soon.”
“…Yeah,” Yun Hao muttered as he turned to leave with the rest. His eye, however, was focused on the corpses of the giant ants that they had managed to kill. But after a few seconds, he could only let out a sigh as they continued to run away from the skirmish.
And as soon as their breaths were able to relax in the air, Yun Hao quickly asked,
“Why aren’t there any beast cores?”
“Seriously, you don’t even know this?” Sun Fang could only shake his head, “Now I am starting to think you’re just fooling us. Cough it up, you’re pretending to be ignorant, aren’t you?”
“Cores only develop once a beast matures enough,” Jia Su answered even as he tried to catch his breath, “But before that could happen, they usually kill each other. That’s why Beast Core farms exist. But since the concentration of qi is being shared by multiple beasts, the cores produced by the beasts in farms are weaker.”
“That’s… pretty detailed.”
“…You don’t know? I thought your backer had a farm?”
“Anyway,” Yun Hao waved his hand as he sat on the ground, completely taking off his shirt that was ripped in half by the grey claw. It left a slight thud on the ground, as it was completely drenched with his sweat, “Let’s rest for a bit before proceeding with the treasure hunt. Do you guys have any ideas where this so-called treasure might be?”
They came here for a Treasure Hunt, but all the welcomed them were death topped with even more death.
“You still want to find treasures? We almost got diced,” Sun Fang was careful not to raise his voice, so he just compensated by flailing his hand all over the place to show his frustration.
“Well, that’s what we came here for, right?” Yun Hao let out a sigh, “We almost died once, so we might as well continue with the hunt.”
“What kind of logic is that?”
“Look, I have a motto.”
As soon as Jia Su heard that, he quickly made sure that the camera he had would have a clear view of Yun Hao.
“If you are going to penetrate, then penetrate hard,” Yun Hao said with confidence, even using his hands to prove his point.
“…I know a therapist. Get yourself checked,” Sun Fang muttered.
Jia Ning’s eyes, on the other hand, started to lit up as she nodded at Yun Hao’s words.
“…” Jia Su, who was excited to hear what Yun Hao had to say, could not help but twitch his eyes. The last time he checked, they had like 2,000 live viewers… and they definitely heard Yun Hao’s weird motto. But no matter, what’s done is done.
The group rested for about 5 minutes before beginning to move. Even if they weren’t getting any of the treasures they do manage to find, Yun Hao still promised them 50 Low-quality beast cores. They could just turn the other tail and wait for rescue, but that wouldn’t be cool– Sun Fang thought. Unlike Yun Hao, he hated receiving free lunch.
“Keep your ears and eyes peeled, let’s just run at the first sight of a monster,” Yun Hao said before looking at Sun Fang and pretending to run away.
“Fuck you,” Sun Fang said as he raised both his middle fingers, garnering the chuckles of everyone.
After a few minutes of walking, surprisingly, they haven’t encountered any more beasts. It would seem that the war between the moles and the ants still hasn’t ended. But at the same time, there was also no sign of any treasures.
“Just what exactly are we looking for here?”
“Anything that looks out of place.”
“Like that?”
“…”
Finally, as soon as the group reached a vast clearing, their eyes all quickly turned towards the shining plant that was right at the center of the glade. Even though there weren’t any beasts or objects guarding it, the fact that the blades of grass that surrounded it were all dead made it quite ominous.
But still, it wasn’t guarded by anything. Team Champion, however, instead of rushing towards it, only looked at each other.
“That…
….looks quite suspicious.”
