Sugar And Spice: The Ceo’s Feisty Wife - Chapter 380
Lu Boyun face palmed himself for getting into the trap set by Xie Yuansheng so easily. He was pretty attached to his old phone and he had no idea as to why he even needed a new smartphone. He was doing pretty well with his old one. “We still have to take permission from the Young Miss,” he said, hoping the Feng Xinying would refuse.
“Leave that to me. I will take her permission, don’t worry,” replied Xie Yuansheng with a huge mischievous smile on his face. He turned and left to get the permission immediately as if he had developed some kind of rollers on his feet.
Within minutes he came back beaming with joy. “Lu Boyun, we can head out in the next fifteen minutes.”
Xie Yuansheng was so cheerful that he headed to his room and wore his sneakers. He was going out to the market and going out would mean that he could divert his attention from Feng Xinying. When he had gone to her room to take permission, he asked her in a sad manner that he wanted to go and see the people outside and that staying at home was becoming suffocating for him, although he did not tell the reason.
Feng Xinying thought that perhaps he really needed to go outside. She had made such a binding contract that he did feel suffocated. It would help him in relating to more stuff and so she kindly agreed to his demands. However, she said that he could go out under supervision only. She couldn’t go because she was expecting Cai Xin to come over to whom she had to give instructions. She got up and went to her table to retrieve several business cards that had her name and address and handed them to him. “Just in case you are alone and don’t know what to do, here is the card with our address. Show it to any cab driver and they will bring you here.”
Xie Yuansheng nodded and left the room with excitement and a huge smile. Feng Xinying chuckled as he left. She called her security and asked them to follow Xie Yuansheng wherever he went.
Xie Yuansheng and Lu Boyun were speeding to the market within the next five minutes. Xie Yuansheng looked outside the window of the car enthusiastically. He loved all the views outside – the daily humdrum of life. A woman carrying her young kids, an old man reading a newspaper sitting on a bench under a tree, people jogging with water bottles in their hands and young teenagers chatting away. In the car Lu Boyun was surprised that the chatty Young Master was so quiet and only looking outside. He frowned on his intentions but didn’t say anything.
Feng Xinying had instructed the driver to take them to the Feng Mall where she could find him in case of any exigency.
When they reached the Feng Mall, Xie Yuansheng was mesmerized by its sheer look and construction. It was a beautiful mall and they started walking in. As they walked across the ground floor to reach the escalator to go to the first floor, he noticed that a large number of jewelry shops lined the ground level. He started looking at them as he walked. Suddenly there was a flash in his mind wherein he saw a young woman buying a ring inside the jewelry shop he was passing in front of.
Xie Yuansheng stopped in his tracks and stared at that shop. Why did he feel that he had come to that shop before and he stood exactly at this spot? The memory flashed again. He could see the blurry image of the girl through glass panels of the door. A man with thick curly hair was sitting with her. Lu Boyun also stopped. “What happened, Xie Yuansheng?” he asked when he looked at his dazed expression.
Xie Yuansheng started sweating. Lu Boyun held his hand and took him to sit on the nearby chair. He offered him some water that he was holding in his hands. “Here Xie Yuansheng, sit down and have some water. Are you okay? Should we go back?”
Xie Yuansheng sat down quietly in a daze. What was that memory? Who was that woman whom he saw inside and who was she sitting with? Was that Yini? Has she found someone else? Why was she buying a ring? He started looking down and asked another glass of water.
“Do we go back?” asked Lu Boyun once again afraid that his condition had become bad.
Xie Yuansheng took a deep breath and became silent for a minute as he closed his eyes to meditate and focus. His rapid breath became slow and he again regained composure. After five minutes, he said, “I am fine. Let us go ahead.”
Lu Boyun was unsure but he agreed reluctantly. “Okay, but if you feel like that again, let me know.”
In the meanwhile the entire security around him became alert. They were on standby in case something happened to him.
“I will,” he replied and got up to head for the mobile shop. When they reached there, the mobile shop owner immediately recognized Xie Yuansheng and he started to rush towards him but Lu Boyun indicated secretly not to disturb the Young Master and the owner stopped. He was scared that disturbing him might cause problems. Feng Xinying had instructed Lu Boyun not to interact with strangers because she was afraid that they might come to know about his amnesia and take advantage or leak the information in the press.
Xie Yuansheng asked the shop owner to show them the latest models of mobile phones. While he was selecting them Lu Boyun was standing nearby looking around and wondering that how come there was not a single phone that had push buttons that looked like his. Was he so behind the technology? Suddenly his gaze fell on the ones that looked like his. It was a small section and fondly he went over there to look at them.
At the same time, a girl was watching Xie Yuansheng with interest. She was also a customer and wanted to upgrade to the latest iOS device. As soon as she looked at him, she thought of going and saying hello. So she walked towards him and stood nearby hoping that he would remember her because he had see her only once before but when he didn’t pay attention, she realized that he didn’t recognize her. She coughed a little and said, “Hello Xie Yuansheng.”
