Super Lazy System - Chapter 15 Soul Pressure For The Win
“I hereby announce the battle royale!”
Those explosive words set the crowd ablaze. A battle royale, what did that mean? Chaos, it was a chaotic battle that no one could predict.
The crowd, couldn’t take it anymore, and soon shouts demanding, the battle to begin echoed throughout the mighty peacock.
“Bai clan elder, start the battle right now! None of us can wait any longer. ”
“That’s, right no more delays start the battles Immediately!”
Simmler, shouts of anticipation, filled the arena. Not a single cultivator could hold back their desire, for this battle.
Of course, the one filled with the most joy, at the beginning would, have to be Bai Yi. Finally after waiting, what felt like years for this battle to begin, it would FINALLY commence. How, could he not be happy?
But, still why were these people still talking about how happy they are? Honestly, its almost as if they’re trying to drag this thing out.
“Not, fast enough.” Bai Yi muttered to himself. Deciding to get this thing going, “Everyone, enough chatting about how much, fun this will be, and simply start it already. Imagine, how fun that would be!” Bai Yi declared.
“Young master Yi is right, why don’t we just start it right now. Honestly, my old beg of bones can’t afford to waste to much time.” Said an old man half-jokingly in the crowd.
Simmler, voices of approval, filled the arena. Soon, every culatator was talking about how much they would love to start the competition NOW!
Seeing, this Bai Yi nodded his head and complemented his own brilliance. Who, else could get these old farts, so motivated.
But, alas Bai Yi miscalculated, about how much these old things enjoyed wasting time and prolonging things. Even worse, soon oldy simmler shouts soon started popping up on the mighty peackocks head.
“Haha, it’s truly about to begin, I can not believe I actually get to see them battle with my very own eyes. Haha, the heavens have blessed me Bai Gu again, now I can truly die happy!” Of course, Bai Gu wasn’t going to miss an opportunity to be again shameless.
Bai Yi, could also here some wired senior explaining, to a bunch of youths about battle royales. He, would then shorty hear the youths exclaiming in admiration. It honestly was quite annoying.
Bai Yi, quickly understood something from all of this, for whatever reason people enjoyed wasting time. It was almost as if the maker of this world was doing it on purpose, and to make matters worse that ‘creator’ was laying it out way, too thick as if people wouldn’t understand otherwise.
What an annoying person, couldn’t he just get on with the story?
In the end, all Bai Yi could do was make his way to the arena and wait for the old man to quiet down.
Slowly, but surely the old buggers quitted down, allowing the Bai clan members to make their way to the stage. Of course, the first one to make there was Bai Dong’er who entered the arena the moment, he noticed Bai Yi.
Which, led to a quite awkward situation. Bai Dong’er staring daggers, at Bai Yi, and some wired butter with some ridiculous acting skills shouting supporting words towards Bai Dong’er. Of course, one shouldn’t forget the rest of the cultivators, who were enthusiasticly talking about starting the battles, yet doing nothing about it.
When everyone had entered the stage, the one forever known as the elder in charge started to excitedly announce the beginning of the battle royale. “Esteemed guests, it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for…” Pausing, once more for elderly effect he continued. “I hereby announce the start battle royale!”
Cheering instantly broke out, but Bai Yi had enough of that and ignored it all. It was time to put an end to this farce.
He had a secret weapon, one that would allow him to end this battle in an instant. If Bai Yi, had to speak the truth he knew his battle level was garbage. Yet, why was so confident?
Simple, soul pressure! A wounders ability that allowed cultivators, of a higher level to completely suppress ones of a lower level.
If Bai Yi, had one advantage it would be the system! Unlike other cultivators who had to put in unimaginable effort to advance, Bai Yi just had to wait for the experience to acuminate.
Well, at least that was how it used to be… Sadly he accidentally started a mass genocide, which put his experience gain into the negative. Even, though he got back to neutral experience gain, his experience was still in the red.
Bai Yi, couldn’t even begin to imagine how long it would take before he could advance once more. That only made this tournament all the more important. His father would grind him to the bone if he lost, yet if he won he would be ignored, believing to be doing fine on his own.
He HAD TO WIN, this otherwise, the countless hours of hellish torture, would be worse the death. “I have, to win this otherwise…” Stopping at that train of thought Bai YI released his soul pressure.
BAM BAM BAM
Almost, instantly sounds of crushing resounded. To the audience, it seemed as if every cultivator suddenly, crashed into the ground, after a strong soul pressure was released.
But, what astounded the crowd, was the strength of this soul. Surprisingly, it was in the early Core Compression stage!!! It was the level of a middle-sized clan leader.
One of the reasons, the many elders came here, was to find out the current level of the Bai clan younger generation. But, this…
Even, though they knew the bai clan was an immortal clan, just wasn’t this a little to ridicules?
Most just smiled wryly, already thinking of gifts to send the Bai clan. Others were looking at the dust cloud, waiting to see which youth entered this level at such a young age.
Slowly the dust settled revelling the scene within, their they saw, young man. His features were refined to a degree as if carved by the gods themselves. He gave of scholarly vibe as if a student about to take the Imperial exams.
This young man was Bai YI. His dramatic entrance was enough to leave the legs of all the young maidens shaking. When the old man looked at their grandchildren, plans started forming in their minds to rope this young genius in.
If, they were to marry into the Bai clan wouldn’t they leap to the heavens in one step?
But, before they could let their delusions get the better of them they heard exclamation of astonishment.
An old man gasped and pointed with a trembling finger at the stage. “There’s someone else still standing.”
Quickly following the olds mans trembling finger they found a youth who had rough features along with a shallow scar across his left eye, he radiated an aura of a general.
“BAI Yi, THIS WON’T WORK ON ME THIS TIME.” Astoundingly, this young man was Bai Dong’er. And he was standing tall.
