84 Deadly Battle, What Are They Cooking?
Although dizzy, Rin saw the projectiles and pushed her legs to move away from their trajectory and dodged them.
‘I have to finish it off,’ Rin locked onto the Abyss Servant as she fell after the jump and immediately used Lightning Dash while flapping her lightning wings that she conjured with her lightning mastery.
The new passive skill she gained recently also worked wonders, as her speed was sonic! [ Speed Force (2nd Tier passive skill): Movement speed and action speed increased by 20%. If you cross 10 meters distance in a second, +100% movement speed for one second. ]
Her eyes flickered with lightning as she controlled the lightning and masterfully maneuvered with her wings as her hands swiped at the Abyss Servant, who had just stopped its dash at Rin’s previous spot.
But this time, the Abyss Servant raised its arm to meet Rin’s blade, indicating the creature’s quickness that didn’t seem less than Rin’s in this clash!
However, a purple ball of lightning that manifested above Rin’s head instantly hit the Abyss Servant, dealing it damage and shocking it.
Her recently acquired new talent, Lightning Pool, was such that it would absorb dispersed lightning elements from clashes or from the atmosphere if they were present into an Ethereal Lightning pool where the lightning would constantly condense and refine. Ultimately, Rin can unleash a volatile condensed lightning ball based on the amount of lighting it absorbs.
Paralyzed and shocked, the creature couldn’t channel power into its scythe arms as the clash only lasted 0.5 seconds before Rin’s blade continued ahead.
Her attack was stronger, and she had also spent 500 of her blade energy to enhance her sword along with the Lightning charge. So, it cut through the Abyss Servant’s scythe arms before proceeding to behead the creature again.
This time, complete death. However, that death came at an unexpected cost to Rin because right when Abyss Servant’s vitality hit 0%, all of its splattered strange flesh and the rest of the body gathered into a volatile black and dark purple energy orb before it blasted.
-93!
[You have killed a level 75 Abyss Servant. An Abyss Chest has been added to your inventory.]

“Urghh…” Rin groaned as her body trembled, and she fell. Her vision darkened, and her body coldly numbed.
No pain, no discomfort. All she felt was an eerie numbness in her body and soul. ‘W-What’s going on?’
Dread filled Rin as she looked at her status and felt death nearing her. ‘No…’
Her vitality was dangerously low, and she couldn’t do anything. Her entire body was numb and out of her reach. She couldn’t even move her fingers.
Fortunately, only silence remained in the valley while time passed. Rin calmed down and started meditating to recover herself.
After she was able to move, she crawled towards a nearby tree and picked up a fruit.
The fruit was a damn magic fruit that had healing effects. Maybe it was because of this energy and life-rich area that the Abyss Servant hatched here, but Rin felt fortunate that her first fight with an Abyss Servant was here.
She ate the fruit and started recovering her vitality.
After half an hour, Rin recovered half of her vitality while the debuffs that affected her from Abyss poison and that strange after-death blast of Abyss Servant were completely removed.
After taking a deep breath, Rin opened her eyes and felt gladness like never before.
She was alive!
“Fuck…” Rin sighed with a huge relief before she looked at her status and clicked her tongue. “These useless stat points. Can’t I do anything with them?”
She wanted to recover her vitality, but those stat points were useless!

“R-Rin… What happened?” Nessa looked groggy and stood up while clutching her head.
“That monster… I-I know about it,” Nessa’s expression was pained, and her eyes closed as some blurry memories became clear. “Lots of different Abyss Servants ….they killed everyone,” Nessa’s eyes showed black wisps as he muttered, and her body suddenly quivered intensely before she fell again, unconscious.
Rin frowned. ‘Lots of them? What exactly happened with Nessa and her family? ‘Hmmm, she might be of help in the main quests,’ Rin thought as she nodded to herself and walked towards Nessa. She picked up the basket to gather the magic fruits with different effects in this valley and was surprised when she inspected the basket.
“A basket with inventory… Great!”
Afterward, she collected lots of fruits from the various trees and picked up Nessa before flying back to Elf Town.
…
On the other hand, Erix made a disturbing discovery.
“Young man, what’s your name?” Mr. Railun asked with a somber expression. “If you don’t know where to go, I could tell you to go to a spot.”
“Don’t worry, sir. I am using my special ocular skill to observe the woodland,” Erix said with a polite smile.
‘No way, right?’ Erix thought as he looked at Mr. Railun’s expression and eyes.
“Alright, thank you for the help. Please look for them within your capabilities,” Mr. Railun nodded with evident appreciation and flew back to the ground.
Erix didn’t remain there any longer and flew north of the Netherwind Woodland.
After half an hour of observing, he found an aura trail going from the camp to the far west of the Netherwind Woodland.
The most important thing was that the trail started from Mr. Railun himself.
‘Should I go there?’ Erix contemplated going to the far west of the Netherwind Woodland by following the trail to check that spot. ‘But this Railun and that blond guy with him feels more powerful than me stats-wise,’ Erix was conflicted.
Should he let whatever scheme they were cooking continue and ignore them? Or
Should he poke his nose into this exceedingly interesting and curious scheme to satiate his curiosity and, by chance, get out with benefits while treading risks?
*Crack..*
Erix cracked his knuckles and sighed while smiling, his eyes producing thrilling gleams in them. ‘Let’s see what they are cooking. If I tread this carefully, I just might get to eat the final dish.’
…
But he stayed put for now and returned back to the camp.
“No luck, Mr. Railun,” Erix sighed.
“I already appreciate the efforts.”
Mr. Railun turned to other adventurers and talked to them for a bit while Erix just roamed around the camp and nearby pond.
‘Hmmm, I should today’s Limitless Plane while waiting.’
Erix returned to the camp and entered one of the tents. The tents were big and spacious, and Erix shared them with a group of three adventurers who looked a few years older than Erix, but they were not in the camp. They were still outside investigating.
‘It would be good if they stayed outside for one hour more,’ Erix thought before putting three barriers around him and setting up a simple trap he had learned in Limitless Plane two days ago.
Erix spent 100 mana and created five visible gray magic circles that appeared with eccentrically magic nodes in three layers.
After a second, the traps were masked by a simple metal coating with the word ‘Trap’ on them.
If anyone touched it or used magic around him, the traps would activate and unleash metal spikes toward whoever used magic, and Erix would also awaken.
‘Done.’
Afterward, Erix closed his eyes and entered the Limitless Plane. The edit I made in the previous chapter is below.
Since every skill’s evolved, next tier form depended on individuals, even if two people have the same 1st Tier skills, they would become different when they evolved to 2nd Tier.
Rin used her Sword Beam in different ways than what just the skill described, which was why her Sword Beam’s evolved form turned out to be Sword Threads, a more deadly and powerful form of the Sword Beam.
Each thread pierced into the creature’s body when Rin’s blade touched its neck and beheaded it.
Abyss Servant’s head flew while her sword threads pierced out of its body in black blood like a blooming flower.
