“Boy! What are you thinking?” the farm manager grabbed Qin Lan’s hand before he went forward to look for trouble on his own. He’s wondering where Qin Lan’s guts came from, as someone not even in the first stage of Flesh Refining Realm.
“Let me go, manager. I’ll teach that fucker a lesson.” Qin Lan’s head was filled with anger as he wanted to teach that disciple a lesson for his disrespect.
The manager tried his best to keep Qin Lan from going there but found it impossible to keep Qin Lan behind. Although Qin Lan only has a physique capable of holding a drop of Pure Spiritual Energy within, it felt like he was filled with strength more than he could have.
But before he made it past the village chief, Qin Lan’s hands were caught by the elder before he made another step forward. Unwilling to get rough to the point he injured his benefactor, Qin Lan controlled his anger right on the spot and angrily stared at the disciple.
Since the disciple felt no cultivation from Qin Lan, he decided to let this off. Laughing with the five fruits in his hand, he left without anyone else dared to stop him.
“Father, your son will recover after resting for a while. Please don’t worry.” the chief’s son said as he tried to hold his father up. But while he has the heart and filial piety towards his father, his body could hardly fulfill his wish.
Instead of supporting his father, he ended up getting supported when the poison in his body suddenly flared up.
His face turned red instantly, and the burning sensation was hard to bear, even if he jumped into a pool of freezing cold water.
Looking at this situation breaks Qin Lan’s heart when he sees how panicked the village chief seemed. Qin Lan grabbed the blunt dagger from his waist belt without further ado and made a cut on the son’s wrist.
Although it was a blunt dagger, when the blade was coated with a hint of Pure Spiritual Energy, even a leaf would be sharper than a treasured sword for a moment.
Blood immediately oozed out from the son’s wrist. But instead of red, it was black and pungent, just like a bucket of human piss evaporating under the hot sun.
Qin Lan then placed his thumb on the son’s forehead and forcefully injected all the Pure Spiritual Energy he had to expel as much poison as possible. When the blood started to turn red again, he ordered the village chief to bandage the wound.
“This brotherly disciple, would you mind sharing the Ice Lizard Saliva herb in your hand?” Qin Lan politely asked. His demeanor and decisive action when treating the village chief’s son shocked this disciple to the point he nodded uncontrollably.
“Thank you. In return, please be patient as I will attend to you after I’m done with this brother.” Qin Lan said and crushed the herb using his hand, and he forced the village chief’s son to swallow the herb.
“Let’s get into the house so he can rest by lying down. Losing this much blood is going to make him feeling worst than getting drunk from drinking nonstop,” said Qin Lan.
“I – I would rather drunk from wine and not from losing too much blood…” the son struggled to reply to Qin Lan after hearing what he just said.
“Close your eyes and channel your Spiritual Qi to recovery your body. Do you want to bleed to death?” Qin Lan slapped the son’s forehead for responding to his own nonsense.
“Manager, please look if you can get some Bittersweet Flowers. If you can get a few Blood Replenishing Pellets, it would be much better.” Qin Lan added.
“I’ll go now!” the farm manager replied.
“Sir! Let me accompany you! My elder brother is one of the helpers in the Medicinal Pavilion! I’m sure with me around, he’ll be more than willing to help!” one disciple offered after hearing what Qin Lan said.
“This brother, can you please take a look at my younger brother too?” another disciple approached Qin Lan when they were moving the village chief’s son back to the house.
“One by one, please. I’m sorry that I am not a cultivator right now, so I can’t help everyone here.” Qin Lan said. But his attention then stops on the one offering the Ice Lizard Saliva to him earlier.
“This brother, if you can prepare a stalk of Sweet Dragon Grass and Blood Mandrake, I can help to make a healing salve for you to treat the injury on your back. It would work much better than using the Ice Lizard Saliva Grass.” Qin Lan said to him.
“I’ll go to prepare it now!” the disciple smiled and left immediately. Those with the same condition as him quickly approached Qin Lan to ask if they could also use the same treatment.
Since he was waiting for the herb to be delivered anyway, Qin Lan made a quick diagnostic over a few of them. He then pointed at a few that could follow the method he used earlier. As for those who don’t get selected, they’ll have to go through a more extensive diagnosis before assigning a correct treatment to them.
…
…
In the meanwhile, on top of a pavilion not far from the outer disciple’s residence.
“Do we have such a disciple in our Iron Flesh Sect?” an elder asked. He was casually sipping on the tea in his hand while looking at how Qin Lan is offering to treat the disciples.
“I’m sure we don’t have such a disciple in the outer sect. Although in the inner sect, there are two to three.” another elder replied. A knocking soon came to his door halfway while he was enjoying his tea.
“Elder Gongsun! There are a few outer disciples here asking for…”
“Approved. Give what the outer disciples want.” the elder waved at the disciple to go out and stop bothering him with these small matters. It was evident that these herbs were worthless in his eyes.
Since he knew what the outer disciples were here for, there’s no point in listening to the request all over again. Instead, he’s more curious about Qin Lan and his skills.
“Disciple understands…” the helper of this Medicinal Pavilion returned to the lower floor after gently closes the door.
“What are you thinking, brother Gongsun?” the elder seated opposite of him asked.
“Can you… Give me the sect’s Iron Heart Token?” elder Gongsun said.
“Brother Gongsun, you!!!” the other elder was about to spit that tea in his mouth after hearing the request.
