“Eh? Is that not our outer sect’s seeded disciple, Qin Lan?” a familiar voice came from behind Qin Lan while he was at his worst.
“Don’t tell me it’s…” Qin Lan turned around swiftly to see Qian Shou and Qian Rou together behind him. Judging from their casual arrival, they must be here to check out on the mission board too.
‘I’m saved!’ Qin Lan was about cry from the stress as two saviors appeared out of the blue to guide him. Although he’s not in a rush to pick up a mission or two, the overwhelming atmosphere here would suddenly shove him aside and created unnecessary pressure on him mentally.
As someone who prefers silence over a noisy atmosphere, Qin Lan hates to be in the spotlight wherever he goes. Although he doesn’t despise being in the center of attention once in a while, too frequent wouldn’t be good for his mental health.
“What brings seeded disciple Qin here today? Are you looking to take a mission or two to accomplish?” Qian Rou asked. Being the more sociable between them, she’s always the first to speak to other people.
Unknown to what reason, Qin Lan found that someone with Qian Rou’s attitude is tough to hate. In fact, he did enjoy her attentiveness when the latter helped in tailoring a distinct disciple robe for Qin Lan.
“Well… I’m just here to have a look for now. But I have no idea there are so many people over here. Won’t it take us the whole day to check what mission is available?” Qin Lan said. Of course, he would hide how overwhelmed he felt when he saw so many people outside of this Mission Pavilion.
“Seeded disciple Qin, those outside here were menial task. We have to get inside the building to see what mission is available to partake. Shall we go together while checking out what they have?” Qian Shou said.
“Ah… No wonder there are so many people out there. It’s actually for the daily task in the sect.” Qin Lan nodded.
‘Good save, brother. Good!’ Qin Lan simply slapped at Qian Shou’s back as he followed the two into the Mission Pavilion.
As Qian Shou’s strength was not weak in this outer sect, everyone was giving him passage further towards the building unhindered. But this effect wouldn’t be that obvious if Qin Lan wasn’t with them.
The moment those regular disciples saw Qin Lan, they immediately retreated three steps back without a qualm in their mind. It was unknown why everyone was behaving this way, but Qin Lan found it convenient for him.
Without anyone blocking them on their way, the two stepped into the Mission Pavilion.
The inside of the pavilion is less crowded if comparing to the outside. It was more organized as well because the way they categorized the mission was based on their needs.
They’re divided into four main categories. Collection, Hunting, Profession, and Protection. They’re categorized is further divided into five different levels, starting from one to the highest five.
This means the mission of level one is suitable for those in the first two stages of the Flesh Refining Realm. As for the highest level five, only those in the Peak of Flesh Refining Realm are qualified to challenge them.
The three of them started their mission searching from the Collection Category. Although there’s a border separating the assignment based on its levels, they’re often overwhelmed by a large number of lower-level missions.
But no matter how Qin Lan checked, he noticed no level five mission available on the mission board. This made him unable to keep his curiosity, and he asked the two for some clarifications.
“Level five missions? These missions are usually too complicated for outer disciples like us to tackle, so they’re in the elder’s possession. Once in a while, some Inner Sect disciples would come over to collect a few requests from the elders.” Qian Shou explained.
“No wonder… And I thought there’s a lack of level five missions.” Qin Lan nodded and continued to look around.
To his surprise, he found something quite attractive even to him here at the Hunting Category.
*Zing!*
Qin Lan pulled his sword out and back in a flash as the paper slowly descent along with the wind flow in the room. When the request finally came to his eye level, Qin Lan grabbed the note to look at its content.

“Hmm… This is quite an exciting request. It seems that the request was made by the Material Pavilion. I wonder if they’re trying to get the Spiritual Qi Marrow hidden inside the horn.” Qin Lan smiled. Since the mission had no expiry date, he might as well hold this request for now.
His reason to show interest in this mission was no doubt because of the Spiritual Beast itself.
“Did the seeded disciple found a mission that interests you?” Qian Shou and Qian Rou came to him after a while, and both of them had a mission paper on their hand as well.
“Yes. I found something interesting. What about you two?” Qin Lan smiled during his reply.
“I’m going to invite the trio to come with Rou-Er and me for this collection request. As for Rou-Er, she seems to be interested in another request.” Qian Shou said. Out of respect, he shows both of their request papers to Qin Lan to take a look.
From the look of it, it seems that their mission would be close to one another. Qian Shou’s request was to collect twenty Milky Essence Mandrake, and Qian Rou’s mission was to collect three Nectar Fruits.
“What about… We go together?” Qin Lan suggested. He finds no qualm about the suggestion to go for a mission together.
