Supreme Magical Concubine Is Wickedly Strong - Chapter 13
Not long after Qiu Nuo and Mo Ziyan set off, a small group of six people entered Ziying Mountain from another path not far away.
“Why isn’t there even one spirit beast? Hmph! I see that the famous Ziying Mountain isn’t all that great, after all!” A young and beautiful girl complained disdainfully, with her head lifted proudly.
She had traveled all the way here to see just how powerful the legendary spirit beasts of Ziying Mountain were. Who would have known that these beasts were so timid that they didn’t even dare to appear? What a letdown!
“Qingqing, don’t worry. We haven’t been here for long. Let’s head on deeper into the mountains. I’m sure we’ll run into some.” A slightly plump youth tried to cajole her.
The other three teenagers were unwilling to be outdone and quickly stepped up to coax that young lady as well.
“That’s right, Qingqing. Those low-level spirit beasts are no fight for you. That’s why they’ve hidden away. Why don’t we hurry on and head into the deepest parts of Ziying Mountain? Let’s kill a high-level spirit beast and bring it back for all those people to see just how good we are!”
“Are you sure we’ll be able to defeat a high-level spirit beast?” A young man well aware of the horror of the spirit beasts piped up.
“Are you dumb? We’re six people. Defeating a high-level beast will be like a walk in the park to us.” As he finished his sentence, he glanced at the young lady, trying to earn some praise. “Don’t you think so, Qingqing?”
The young lady’s face was filled with arrogance, and she was about to reply when a crisp voice suddenly cut in. “It’s better for everyone to be careful. This isn’t the imperial capital. The spirit beasts won’t give in to you just because of your status.”
The young man dressed in white took a slight glance at the rest, and his lips curled up in a slight sneer.
Did they really think they were in their backyard? Everyone knew just how ferocious these spirit beasts were. And these ignorant fools even wanted to challenge the high-level spirit beasts! They were really courting death!
Su Qingqing was unhappy upon hearing that.
“Ye Hongchen! Who are you to speak to me in that tone? My father is the Prime Minister!”
The sarcasm in Ye Hongchen’s eyes intensified. “Miss Su, may I ask what you have apart from that status?”
“You”
Su Qingqing blushed in anger, but that slightly plump youth let out a blood-curdling scream by her side.
“Spirit spirit beast”
Following that youth’s gaze, Su Qingqing saw an enormous snow-white wolf making its way out from the dense forest.
Feeling its presence and power, Su Qingqing’s face drained of all color and she instinctively hid behind Ye Hongchen.
Those few teenagers who had been bragging just moments earlier were no different from mice who had just caught sight of a cat. They were all trembling in fear, and one of them had even wet his pants!
“What what shall we do? This spirit beast looks really fierce. Ye Hongcheng, can you defeat it?” She grabbed tightly to his sleeve while asking in a timid voice. Su Qingqing now depended entirely on Ye Hongcheng, treating him as her lifebuoy.
Ye Hongchen raised his eyebrow but remained unmoved.
At that very moment, a fiery red ball the size of a watermelon suddenly flew out from behind the white wolf.
Everyone was dumbfounded as the fiery ball exploded upon coming into contact with it.
As the smoke dispersed, a young lady dressed in coarse clothes appeared in their sight, along with a suave man who seemed to be the reincarnation of a god.
The majestic wolf was now lying on the ground motionless.
Apart from Ye Hongchen, everyone present let out a collective sigh of relief.
“We’re safe now. That wolf looked really ferocious and scary! I guess it must have been at least Level Six or Seven!”
“I think it was higher than that! Didn’t you see how scary it looked?”
“I didn’t expect to meet such a fierce spirit beast on the outskirts of Ziying Mountain. We should mentally prepare ourselves first, at least”
Qiu Nuo was filled with rage as she heard their words from afar.
Were these people idiots? This was clearly just a normal first-level spirit beast!
“Young Master, thank you for saving our lives. If you hadn’t appeared, we wouldn’t have known what to do!” Su Qingqing, who had been full of haughtiness earlier, suddenly turned into a meek lamb upon seeing Mo Ziyan, and she expressed her gratitude shyly while blushing.
She had completely ignored Qiu Nuo.
In Su Qingqing’s eyes, Qiu Nuo must be Mo Ziyan’s servant at the very most because of her shabby dressing.
