Supreme Origin: Time King - Chapter 242
Pur Hours later, Elijah met with his team on the lower plaza and they headed back to the stadium to wait in the resting area. The battles went by one by one while Elijah was playing with an euva he had in hand. He had seen all the participants in battles on the previous day, so he wasn’t that surprised by what he saw today.
“Ryn, Ryn…” Elijah looked abruptly down to see that Yalli had suddenly tugged at his sleeve with a complex look on her face.
“What is it?” Elijah turned to ask with a smile on his face as yalli bent over to whisper next to his ear. What! Elijah rose from his seat before he sat down when noticing the stares directed at him.
He stared at his right and left to see if anyone was paying attention to him.”Are you sure?”
With a nod, she continued. “One of my cousins told me the void king will be arriving today and that he decided to came at last moment to watch the tournament with his children which means her true body will be here tonight, there is only one problem…”
Carl smiled. This news put on on such a good mood he he paid her next words them no mind, he was finally able to see that face he dreamed every night. Despite he could have imagined to hear Yalli speak something about a distant cousin of her participating in the tournament between celestials, and the same person had a crush on Yawen for a long time, he could not hear what she said.
Pa! Pa! Slapping his face, he recovered just before his team was called and they all headed to the stage.
“Elijah are you alright?” Evelynne noticed something had changed and she could not help by ask. Suddenly, it was like a ancient sword had been unleashed and started to finally show its shine.
“Don’t worry just fight as you like. I will be in the back.” Standing on the stage Elijah’s mind connected with his phone scanned himself to see. He had long understood that without his cultivation, his own vitality and lifeforce was being consumed in exchange for his powers. For cultivators, the first to third realm they only had a lifespan of 100 to 500 years while the fourth and fifty realm could go from five hundred to one thousand.
He scanned the others in the area and it was clear that there was a small difference from person to person. Mortal cultivators had longer lifespan with the eighth and ninth realm having from eighty to a hundred centuries of life while divine cultivators had slightly smaller lifespans, but they could reincarnate just like gods and retain some of the past life knowledge and technique. Spirit cultivators, if they are lucky they could have special bodies that could increase they lifespan or give them everlasting bodies that won’t age.
30.000 Years was the approximate amount of lifespan he got with his body refined through his journey and by forming his trinity body, drinking nectar and eating ambrosia. His body had long reached the apex of mortality and could not reach any higher without cultivating and go beyond the mortal to become celestial.
“I believe my vitality was about 61.000 years when I summoned a shadow from the past and the other tests I made. Until now I have spent close to half of my lifeforce, though I don’t know how long I can keep this up. Watch over my use of lifeforms and inform me if it goes to low.”
From the team of four on the opposite side, Elijah could only smile. They were nothing but lucky eighth realm cultivators who managed to win the previous battle by a matter of luck. Or at least was what the spectators thought, Elijah on other side was sure it had anything to do with luck and this was because he recognized one of them, a small figure with effeminate face and two nearly invisible forces sleeping deep within his body.
‘This man has the same spiritual body as Claire. The spacetime spirit body!’ The other three were just regular mortal and divine cultivators, but this one was something else. Surely they were relying on him to win the first battle.
He had long seen what Claire’s spirit body could do. She reached the peak of the spiritual path and was able to send her soul through time and space in order to find him in one of his dreams. If this man had the same talent, then he would surely reach the realm of celestial and become of the few to reach this level in the past few hundred thousand years.
Start! The timer started counting down when both teams clashed. And just like he thought the first three were cultivators with ordinary armaments and divine wings.
The two mortal cultivators had ordinary weapon armaments without any powerful skills. They only depended on their high-leveled battle techniques to fight Ava and Evelynne while Yalli was facing the only divine cultivator who had blazing red wings bursting with the laws of fire who approached her from above and shot wave after wave of fire with its heat a lot weaker that Ava’s starfire while Yalli just blocked with the hammer in her hand.
They may have been hearing voices from both sides from time to time, but Elijah ignored most of it. He was just staring at the spirit cultivator and the latter was also staring at him, both felt similar aura coming from each other.
“What a surprise, I can’t see your cultivation, it is a treasure to hide it? It doesn’t matter, I smell something similar to laws of time around you, but I can’t say for sure what it is.” Purple light lit within his eyes and the space a few meters around Elijah was locked with the most high level spatial lock. Elijah saw what he was doing and circulated his onw control of time to revert the lock only to see he couldn’t.
“Trying to undo my spatial lock? Hehe, I must say it is not possible, time can’t revert a space that does not exist within the flows of time.” Hearing the man’s voice, Elijah’s mind lit with inspiration as his thoughts focused on the black slab in his pocket.
“Myriad Shapes Smartphone, activate time shadow for me.”
