Supreme Origin: Time King - Chapter 248
“You even managed to get your void steps to such a level!?” Yassil noticed the similarities between the movements made by the two of them and gasped. Void steps was one of the most basic skills of the clan, but at the same time it is one of the best movement technique for those talented enough. Easy to learn and hard to master, this skill could be used even in high-level battles between peak celestial beings.
“Well, it isn’t that hard when you understand of rhythm and a little bit of physics!” With a tap on the floor, Elijah vanished once again and pushed his palm forward creating a ripple of wind that flew towards Yassil.
Both sides quickly approached when they fist clashed. Bang! Elijah felt soreness in the arm before fleeing backwards. It was clear which of them had the upper hand. After this he couldn’t even recuperate himself before a dozen fists smashed him on the back.
A light appeared in his eyes, moving his arms forwards, he threw his palms forward meeting each of Yassil’s punches and stopping it in middle air. Then he came with an uppercut straight into the void prince’s jaw. Being raised in a place like this, this prince surely was praised for everything he did. He may even be more than a couple thousand years old, and learned the martial arts of the most powerful clans and celestial factions or was at least a bit familiar with them.
“Wait, what martial art is this?” Yassil asked himself. For the first time he was completely clueless, but suddenly Elijah’s standing posture changed and it was like another person.
Outside the formation, even Yawen was surprised. What moments and attack did Elijah do in the end?. None of them recognized it.
“This?” Elijah pointed at the posture he was making. “This is a set of martial arts derived from the many mortal martial arts I saw back in the day. This stance, for example, I like to call it the Prince slaughtering fist.”
Hearing his answer, even the middle-aged man at the top platform laughed with the rest of the crowd. This man was certainly daring to say these words in the void clan’s domain.
Rushing forward, Elijah increased his speed while using his mind to predict any of his opponents moves. One, two, three… One hundred, two hundred, three hundred blows had been exchanged between both of them. Elijah had some Ichor left of his mouth, nose and ears and he breathed heavily. It was clear to him, that a battle of this level was more than he could handle in his present state.
On the other side, Yassil was staring at him. “Both of us can’t fight for long. Come at me with everything you’ve got!”
Gathering all the strength left in his bat, he surged forward, the grayish-black blood in his veins burned. His fist splits the air in two as it quickly approached Elijah. However to the astonishment of the crowd, Elijah shut his eyes at this important moment. In his own body, he saw the liters of golden blood flowing within his veins and even further inside, he saw a thin half blood pill floating in the interiors of his heart.
There was a legend, he heard in the past about the real reason cultivators wished had Ichor in their veins. Images of the past surfaced in his mind, a middle-aged man stabbed by his wife stood up with his blood boiling and the heavens lightning appeared to protect him.
This time with Elijah’s consent, all the golden blood in his body boiled and ignited in a mass of golden flames. The golden flames spread out of his body when the image of a massive mountain peak appeared behind.
“The image of Olympus…”
Under the golden flame’s influence, the Elijah entire body had gained a l.u.s.ter of gold. His bones, muscles, skin. Every single part of his body changed. For a moment, Elijah felt he was like those huge statues of deities.
Just like Yassil could extract power from his Eternal Void Lineage, Elijah could ignite the essence within the Ichor to get some of its true power. The essence he burned would be lost forever, but it was a small price to pay.
His legs moved and he shot himself toward Yassin’s fist, and his hand pierced forward. There weren’t any arts, skills or martial arts, only physical body strength.
When the two fists met, the sky shook. Gray and Golden light took over the formation which started to show instability.
What everyone failed noticed was that in this moment of instability, Elijah’s speed simply grew by another level, his first opened as he smashed his palm on Yassil’s chest.
Pa! In the second, Elijah’s palm managed to hit the prince, the entire formation vanished. Standing on the stage was Elijah, his body had returned to normal and he looked even worse than before the fight. The crowd searched with their eyes for the void prince only to see a miserable figure lying on the ground. Gray smoke, leaving his body.
“That single palm was strong enough to send the prince straight into his next incarnation.” Then everyone’s gaze turned to the middle-aged man on the top. Only him, the owner of the formation and the man with the highest authority could declare the winner.
The man smiled at his daughter and the golden-haired female next to her before he said. “Well, we can say this was interesting enough. For this Void Star Duel I declare…”
Before he could even finish, Yassil vanished pure black spear advanced toward an Elijah’s position on the stage. Yawen was about to leap over to the stage when she stopped. Elijah was making the same expression before he did something crazy.
“I gave you a chance… This move wouldn’t work with you on your peak, in this state you’re nothing to me.” Sighing to himself, Elijah locked onto the Yassil speeding figure and said the word in his heart.
Revert!
Yassil’s body shook, seeing the expression on his face. He understood he just did what the opponent wanted. With a piercing scream, invisible forces gathered around him and all they could see was a one-week baby crying on the stage.
“Laws of time!” The crowd reached the same conclusion. How could they not understand. They have seen Elijah is using the laws of time since the beginning, however, what he did just now seem to be on an entire new level.
The great void prince Yassil had been reduced to nothing more than a baby. You could even say the past Yassil had been killed and reduced to nothing.
The middle-aged man flew to the stage and picked the baby in his arms. Now he would have to explain to his sister what happened when he return to the Abyss. Well, at least it was better to be transformed into a cute and innocent baby than killed by your opponent.
“With this I can finally declare Elijah as the winner of the Void Star Duel, the son-in-law of the eternal void clan and future husband of my daughter.” The middle aged man laughed heartily. The members of the other clans and territories had their hearts filled with envy. Elijah may be powerful, but he’s not part of any clan or celestial faction. Even his path was something he forged by himself. Now they realized how great it would be for someone like Elijah to get married within their faction, but they missed the chance even before they even realized it.
