Supreme Origin: Time King - Chapter 264
“Mom, what is happening?” Amidst the chaos, Cassie held her little brother while asking Yawen who made a similarly tense expression.
“I don’t know, but this entire realm isn’t safe anymore. Take Elliot and the others to the gate, I will assist your grandfather.” Yawen just finished her phrase when she felt waved, then a burst of void energy as she left the scene.
Pulsing throughout her body, was a bright purple light as she appeared in front of the Void King and the man wearing that crown.
“Brother! I know you are in there. Father, you must help him!” Looking back to her father, she knew her father was having an internal fight right now if he should fight or not.
However the man didn’t answer her and only shot a lightning fast invisible wave which the Void King blocked with his arm.
“Arg…” Holding back the blood in his mouth, he swallowed it back as he felt something inside him was changing. Months and months of cultivation started to vanish upon contact with this strange energy.
“What is this?” The Void king knew this power, when the prime kings ruled the universe with the cosmic heart as their backer(Master). He was the first to become a crowned god which was bestowed upon him by the latter.
It was the revolution powers within the crown he received. This power could change anything into its opposite, turn men into women, good into evil, light into dark.
“This isn’t possible, this isn’t possible. This power wasn’t supposed to work on an any celestial with an intact core.”
The moment it entered his body, it was like all his cultivation was beings stripped out of him. Elijah did something similar with the power of time, but both ways were a bit different. While Elijah’s way would revert the timeline of a single person to the point where it had just been born, even if it worked on a celestial the power they once had won’t be lost forever as they would grow to their present time together with their cultivation.
As for the power used by the prime kings was an eternal and unchangeable thing. Once inverted, a person or object doesn’t have any chance of returning to normal. However, no matter how great it was, this power couldn’t affect celestial beings because of how much they evolved as a being surpassing the mortal laws and the core which protected them from external damage.
“Hehe.” Yakhan laughed. “Do you like it, my new body I mean. I never thought having a physical body like humans could be this fun.”
His eyes turned cold as he reached out with his hand before closing it in a pouch.
Woooooooooo! An invisible wave flew past his cheeks, opening a huge hole in the Eternia’s energy field. Feeling his face with his hand, the Void King noticed the Dark gray blood oozing out of several thin cuts that despite being light injuries, the same energy from before has infiltrated inside his body as his cultivation decreased an entire level bringing him to the peak of the eleventh step.
“Urg! I guess it all comes to that.” The Void King eyes were directed towards his daughter as his thoughts went back to the past. It had been so long since he forsake his name in order to become the void clan’s king just like his father before him and his grandfather before his father.
A new king would only be chosen when the previous one has reached their final life. This happened so many years ago that he could not even remember his own name.
In his right hand, a simple looking dagger appeared out of nowhere. The moment this dagger appeared, Yawen who was helping her father block the prime beasts surrounding the city gasped in surprise when seeing her father take that weapon out.
When the eight royal families migrated to the abyss, each family took a supreme artifact with them. The most powerful artifacts in the universe, but what made Yawen shocked was that all the families had agreed to keep it a secret from the other races and clans in order to not arise greed of others.
This dagger was one of these artifacts, its name Eternal Void was named after their own clan and only the king of each generation could use it. Her father was the most powerful king of his generation and with the Eternal Void in his hand his power would be among the best in the chaotic space.
The moment he took Eternal Void out he was prepared to finish it once and for all. It brings him a lot of pain the fact an enemy, but this wasn’t the time to hesitate, he thought.
Yawen noticed her father’s intentions and yelled for him to stop. A Yakhan’s daughter who was unconscious because of the burst of energy which broke the sky was able to open her eyes just to see the Void King was about to kill his own son.
He knew very well how great an existence on the same level as the great intelligence living within the cosmic realm’s core truly was. It was a sort of unbeatable existence to those who aren’t a transcendent being because they couldn’t go against their own universe which was the source of energy and laws.
Living in that universe was the same as being captives and slaves to this intelligence. However, this wasn’t his true body, neither this was his world. At that moment the prime king thought he would at least extra the fact that he is not used to a physical body to inflict some pain on him.
“Eternal Void, Awake!” Ink black energy exploded in a small vortex inside his body, but with the dagger resonating with his own soul. The small vortex where a thin rune lit up as it felt the signal coming form the dagger as the vortex expanded into a tornado.
Seeing what was happening, Yawen eyes were filled with light. She turned to the gods, fairies, immortals and paragons fighting on their side and transmitted her voice to all of them in a grave tone.
“Run! Take those who can’t move and run! We must return to the Abyss.”
The danger they felt at that moment was more than enough to convince them to run, but they agreed anyway and vanished towards. All the celestial appeared within Eternia and waved their hands as a countless different energies grabbed the unconscious people and send everyone from the city to the spatial gate.
Even Cassie, who left Elliot and the others in the abyss and returned to help her mother had to return once again when the saw the that black tornado. As a member of the void clan, she knew how scary this dagger was.
When the tornado grew weaker, a slim figure could be seen within the light. The middle-aged man known as the void king was gone and a particularly attractive youth with a petite body a long purple hair tied in a ponytail was seen. He wore the same clothes as before, so it wasn’t hard for everyone to realize it was the Void King.
Soon, all the others had left and only Yawen was left behind staring at her dad, not understanding what was in front of her eyes. The scene where the sky broke just now and the amazing energy she felt from far away made her know that Elijah had completed his part of the plan. Soon there will be no celestial realm anymore. At least if they gain enough time for him.
“Dad?” For a moment, Yawen had lost all words. As she lowered her gaze, she saw that his right hand had transformed into a familiar blade. In this present state her father was in, there was no need for her to help. In fact, it would only make things worse as just her father should be able to gain the time Elijah needs. Giving a last look at the clouds that surrounded the whole celestial realm, she prayed in her heart for him to stay safe as she stepped into the gate.
