Supreme Origin: Time King - Chapter 276
“I should have guessed it was a trap.” Yawen snorted slightly. “Have the healers clean this mess, and stop attacking until we are sure on how to deal with this.”
The humanoid creatures weren’t just meat shields, they were acc.u.mulating damage before reflecting it back on them. Against enemies like this, the more power was behind their attacks, more beneficial it would be to their enemies.
Hearing her orders, all the warsh.i.p.s retreated and luckily the creatures stayed in their position, giving the allied forces time to regroup. While the royal families seven armies largely confused by the commotion inside the near battlesh.i.p.s, they also knew something must have happened in the front.
With the passage of time, more and more of those horrendous creatures would pour out of the barrier, In the meanwhile, they tried the lasers and cannons in the sh.i.p.s, but even those would be destroyed after killing a few hundred thousand of the creatures.
But what bothered Yawen the most wasn’t the existence of these creatures, but their identity. Surely the life out of nothing, to reach a certain stage both genetic evolution and natural growth by interacting with others is needed for each living being to achieve completion.
Even the prime beasts were converted forms of humans, which were reversed in their opposite by the power of the great intelligence which means those creatures must have been made with the same method.
“If you are thinking those creatures were the mortals of that world you must be certainly right.” A new voice sounded in the brigade, different from all those in the Void clan star cruiser and its crew was taken by surprise.
Yawen turned her eyes to Luna, who was in charge of the security systems, the latter wryly smiled. She also didn’t know somebody has sneaked into their ship while they were incapable of noticing it.
“I’m sorry I came unannounced.” A middle-aged man came out of the shadows. His distinct facial features as well as his long blood red hair, which was one of the forms he liked to use, Yawen’s face turned dark as she recognized the man and intense pressure burst forth from her slim body.
“Oh my, when did that little princess became so aggressive. There is no reason to worry about little old me.”The man had six pairs of dark, feathered-wings what looked like a sword on his back.
Yawen twitched when she spoke to him.”Uncle Lucifer, what are you doing here?”
“Nothing my dear, it is just that I was passing by and saw you guys were in need of a little help.” The man stepped forward and sat on one of the chairs.
Hearing his words, Yawen and the others widen their eyes and they all stood up. “Do you know what is happening?”
“Me?” Lucifer pointed at himself and refused with his head. “No, not me. There is somebody else near who knows more than me.”
‘Somebody else?’ Yawen, Aina, Yalli and the others scanned the bridge with their eyes and senses, but none of them could sense anything. All the heard was steps behind them, a beautiful woman in a black and white dress.
Yalli pinched Ava who was next to her and asked in a low voice. “Is this not that female goddess in Eternia?”
“I know.” Ava replied and nodded with her head. “It sure looks like her, but haven’t the divines lost their power?”
The woman’s eyes searched the crowd before she locked on a young girl with brown hair and Her eyes, which never lost their grace and elegance showed a bit of a surprise.
“Chloe! So he did recover you, it’s good to know.”The woman sighed with relief, what only made Chloe stare at the woman suspiciously, and after a few moments she incredulously asked. “You! Big Sis Ophelia?”
“Yes…” Ophelia searched for a seat and continued, “I met him, I mean the his future self.”
Hearing what she told them, they easily understood. Chloe did tell them Elijah has an elder sister called Ophelia, but it was what she said later that came as a shock to them.
“Met him? You mean the mastermind behind all of this, Ryn, I mean Elijah, how did you meet him?!”
In her seat, Ophelia took a glass of wine from her spatial artifact and took a sip. “I don’t remember much, but all the power I have now was given by him. He told me all of this would happen and that his wife told him I saved her so that he had to make sure I had the power to do so.”
“And you mean…”
We don’t have much time!” Ophelia stood up. As if something hits them, the entire ship shook as the weaker ones tripped and fell.
“I should leave the ship and face him now.” Ophelia said to herself, and a second before she left, she warned Yawen. “In the case of the mortals, those are already dead, so don’t feel sad for it. To counter the reflection curse, you must remember to just cause enough damage to kill those creatures. While it may kill those mortals without a sturdy body, no damage would be done to your people with much stronger bodies.”
“Thank you mister, if it weren’t for you I won’t be able to arrive this early.”
“It’s me who should thank you my dear, if it weren’t for you I would never have the change to pay what I owe to the Monster that is your brother. I shall be leaving as well, maybe returning to my own cosmic realm is not such a bad idea.”
Ophelia bowed to Lucifer before she rushed towards the front. Lucifer waved his hand and a dimensional rift appeared behind him, showing a small blue cosmic realm in the middle of the void and he walked inside it.
Flying at extreme speed, Yawen crossed the thousands of starsh.i.p.s and soon arrived at the border of the cosmic realm, there was a ghastly looking youth, with pale ash colored hair. His eyes were deep red and full of hatred, but at the same time there was some sort of wisdom in them.
He may look like a youth, but his body was tall, about the size of an entire planet. His body was overflowing with a dark, oppressive aura as the picture of a diabolic and the evil looking blood sun appeared above his head.
Extending her hands, two shining diamonds flew towards the center of Ophelia’s hand. The moment she grabbed it, intense and bright sparks burst out of her palms forming two long weapons. One golden-white saber and a purple-black saber.
The two weapons were crossed in a X before she snorted. “Master… Or should I call you Lord Apolo?”
