Survival Records of 3650 days in the Otherworld - Chapter 272
The many countries that agreed to join the crusade sent reinforcements. The result was amazing. Khalodian had been working hard to increase its population, and now the average number of children in each household was around eight. Because of this, the crusader army in Khalodian amounted to ten million. Together with other countries, there was a total of seventeen million troops.
The seventeen million troops comprised of many countries and cultures, but they had one thing in common.
Revenge.
There were those who had lost their loved ones to the monsters. They cheered on Emperor Joonbum’s plan to invade the Demon World. Thoughts of revenge were powerful motivation for the people. It even made people who couldn’t join the military stay together with that one hope.
Lots of people donated their money and assets to help with the military.
And the number of troops soon increased. After three years, it now stood over twenty-eight million, with twenty-three million of them just being infantry.
They were equipped with a new type of rifle that used anti-monster bullets which had powerful venom coating. They were also given anti-monster shotguns that fired two hundred iron bullets at once. Of course, the ammunition also had venom coating.
And to aid with any sort of danger, all users were given special antidotes and healing potions.
The Ainos potions were proven to work on most wounds. They were considered miracle potions. The only problem was that they needed a lot of ingredients.
Joonbum and Doral quickly formed a special troop to gather the needed ingredients.
They first went to capture live Zyeloks. After capturing a huge number of Zyeloks and a pen was built to contain them, they began hunting down Gartz. Gartz were powerful monsters that were once considered the kings of the mountain.
The special troops captured the Gartz, which were slowed by the poison, and kept them contained in a metal pen. The Gartz were kept alive in good condition as people gathered blood from them. They first reacted violently to being captured, but they quickly adapted to their new environment.
They even became docile toward the Ainos who fed them. And thus, creating potions became much easier.
The increase of potions was a blessing to all. The Khalodian Empire provided the needed potions with the cheap price of future labor. This allowed many people to be saved from diseases and severe wounds.
“The Gate has reopened.”
Joonbum opened his eyes in shock as Jackson walked up to him.
“Are you going, Your Majesty?”
“Yeah.”
Joonbum laughed. Jackson stated, “We do not know what might happen after you’re gone. The world changes. History proves this.”
“Does it?” Joonbum answered without any concern and smiled.
