Survival To Godhood - Chapter 142 Meteor Stick Dance
It took a few weeks for Leo to get used to his new status within the City of Ra. The royal guards respected him the most as a select few were now allowed to train within the Pharaoh’s chamber. The five selected were Ramses’ most trusted servants.
The five guards revered Leo and the three beasts. Upon entering the chamber every day, they would kowtow to their new Masters to show their respect. Leo tried to get them to stop, but Ramses and the beasts convinced him otherwise. Ramses out of respect and the creatures out of superiority.
“Good day, High Vizier. Good day, Ancient Masters.” The five guards called out.
Green Tooth and Dark Razor nodded in satisfaction. Besides to train with Leo, Void Slayer often cultivated in silence. Leo shot the two lions a look of contempt, but just let it happen.
“Good morning. Where is Ramses?” asked Leo. It took a while for the guards to get used to someone calling their Pharaoh by his given name, but after seeing the High Vizier’s power, they accepted their relationship.
“He is attending to issues and asked us to head here ahead of him, High Vizier.” Answered the captain of this squad. He was the youngest among the group, but the strongest. He also was the Pharaoh’s personal attendant as a young boy.
“Papyrus, have you and your men start absorbing mana as I showed you. In four hours, find Green Tooth to work on your fighting techniques.” The boy nodded and left to their common area to absorb mana.
Leo liked the boy named Papyrus. He learned from Ramses that Ramses himself gave him that name. As kids, it only took Papyrus once to hear something to remember it. Just like when he was a kid, Papyrus absorbed everything Leo and the Sphinx beasts told him. Green Tooth especially favored the boy over the Pharaoh.
After the chamber quieted down, Leo walked over to his usual spot. Ramses had the guards bring down stone and metal into the tomb to train his techniques.
With Stone Breaker in hand, Leo started to focus on his Mana Fighter Mace technique he would create. He studied the 27 Meteor Strike, and a manual from the City of Ra’s library called Ra’s First Tahtib. The manual consisted of 12 moves the ancient god, Ra, used to stick fight at the Tempering Body and Mana Fighter stage.
Leo broke down the movements into seven simple strikes. These seven strikes seemed simple, but from Leo’s vast fighting experience and trial and error, he created his first technique ever.
Walking over Void Slayer smiled with his razor-sharp teeth. “You finally complete your mace technique.”
“Yes, I think I have finalized it down to these seven moves.” Leo performed each movement fluidly. Each one built upon the last increasing the momentum of the final strike a lot. This secret was something he learned through Ra’s stick movements and added it to his own.
“Nice technique. What shall you name it?”
“I think in honor of the two manuals I created it from, I shall call it Meteor Stick Dance.” Leo proudly said. He was overjoyed at finally finishing it.
for visiting.
“Good, let us fight to test it out.” Void Slayer said to Leo as it leaped backward to prepare itself to fight.
Green Tooth walked over to the guards to block any stray attack that could fly in their direction. Papyrus bowed to thank the Ancient Master and then looked at the battle that was about to happen.
“I’m not holding back!” Leo dashed forward and unleashed the Meteor Stick Dance. The first strike was a sweeping trike infused with yin and earth mana. Void Slayer quickly blocked it with an average claw strike.
The second strike was influenced by the Ascending Sun and was infused with yang and metal mana. Void Slayer used both claws to block the blow and barely moved an inch back.
The third and fourth strike were two diagonal strikes downwards infused with yin and earth mana. The attacks were comparable to Leo’s Descending Moon. At this point, Void Slayer had to introduce mana into the claw to defend himself.
The fifth and sixth strike upward diagonal strikes used yang and metal mana. The upward X-strike blew Void Slayer back. The surprising thing was that each strike helped create a current around the weapon. This ended in a sphere of all four manas in an ideal fusion surrounding the mace.
Leo unleased the final seventh downward stroke, Meteor’s Decent. The Mana Fighter technique elevated itself in this instance and was on par with a Core Builder technique. Void Slayer quickly used his own move, Void Claw. The two movements collided with a loud boom.
When the dust settled, Leo stood there. Void Slayer who was blasted meters away looked on with disbelief. His space mana infused claw strike was ripped apart by the flow of Leo’s four manas.
The guards were all in awe. Even Dark Razor and Green Tooth were astonished. The two of them would have been worse for wear if they tried to block the last attack.
The Pharaoh walked into the chamber with news of the upcoming battle. He looked around as everyone was quiet. “Masters, what is going on?”
Leo just smiled at Ramses and then looked at Void Slayer. Void sent a message to Leo. “I’m fine. Attend to the human king.” Void Slayer got up and walked to his normal area to cultivate.
“It is nothing, Ramses. Void and I were testing out my new technique.”
“Oh, your new mace technique. If you have time, please show me later, Master.”
“Sure. So what news about the battle did you receive.”
“As I explained before. Every Pharaoh must at least accept three fights from other Pharaohs. My spies tell us almost every Pharaoh is going to race here and challenge me,” Ramses replied helplessly. His city being last, Ramses only received one mana crystal a year. With such inadequate resources, how could Ramses ever cultivate to the strength the other Pharaohs have.
Leo gave Ramses an eerie smile. If anyone knew how to fight as an underdog, it would be Leo. “Ramses don’t worry. Let them come. We will be waiting.”
