Survival To Godhood - Chapter 144 The Seeds Of Revenge
The two warriors clashed, Almot was surprised by Ramses strength. “He must be burning through his mana to keep up with my strength.” Almot thought to himself.
Little did the fifth stage warrior know they were the same level. The City of Seth had been the number one city in the last three centuries. Being number one gave the City of Seth the best resources, and Almot cultivation was by far the best.
Leo told Ramses to win; he might have to use the art of surprise. Ramses started to put on an act again. He began to pant heavily and allowed himself to be blown back by each hit of Almot.
for visiting.
“Father, destroy him!” yelled Almot VIII. The prince knew of his father’s hatred and wanted him to wipe out the City of Ra’s bloodline.
Almot was grinning seeing Ramses getting beat back. Feeling overconfident, he stopped for a second and said something only loudly enough for Ramses to hear.
“You’re about to die to the same hands that killed your father. With your death, my father’s death will be avenged.”
Through records, Ramses learned three battles ago his grandfather’s last challenge was against Almot VI. In their fight, both fighters used their best move. Ramses’ grandfather killed Almot VI in the process winning the battle but succumbed to his injuries from it years later.
Almot attacked with full force brandishing his spear and unleashed a powerful wide action was the perfect moment to counter him. Ramses sidestepped the swing.
“Ascending Sun.” The upward arc of his sticks slammed into Almot’s ribs cracking three of them. Blood sprayed out of Almot’s mouth onto Ramses as he struck his knee, causing Almot to collapse to the ground.
“Ugh…how did he become so strong,” Almot said as he coughed up blood.
Standing above Almot, Ramses looked down at the man who killed his father. He then looked up and saw Almot’s son staring at him with daggers in his eyes. If Ramses murdered his father, then he would be sowing the seeds for revenge further. This cycle needed to end.
Ramses looked to Leo, and Leo just shook his head. This decision was solely up to him, and Leo was not going to participate. Ramses frowned not knowing what to do. On the one hand, he could relieve all the hatred he lived with for the last 20 years, or he could stay his hand.
“Almot VIII,” Ramses called out to the boy close to his age. “I’m not going to kill your father, but I can’t allow him ever to become a threat to me again.”
Ramses gathered all of his mana into the rod into his hand and slammed it down onto Almot VII spine shattering it.
“With this, he will not be able to walk again. Remember, I could have killed him, but spared him today. I know you are angry.”
Ramses knew the anger and hurt well. He more than anybody knew the feud would not end here, but maybe he could open a new path for them.
“I will take on your challenge anytime, Almot VIII.”
Almot VIII was furious, but he did understand a bit. He was also relieved his father’s life was spared. “I shall challenge you every battle until I undo the shame you dealt us today.”
“Good. I shall see you next Battle of Pharaohs.”
Almot VIII had his people get his father, and they soon departed. As quickly as things got interesting, they settled down. Ramses walked towards his Master. “Master, this is all thanks to you. I don’t know where you came from, but you allowed me to achieve my life’s only wish. Accept these kowtows to show my utmost gratitude.”
Ramses got down on his knees in front all of his guards and bowed three times. Seeing this happen, all the guards followed suit. Leo smiled at the boy just a few years younger than him showing such gratitude.
“Please rise, Ramses. You’re the leader of your people so act like it.” Leo said, reaching out his hand to help Ramses up. The Pharaoh chuckled and grabbed his hand.
As Leo and Ramses headed back to their vessel, a new fleet of ships in the distance cruised towards them. Ramses received a message.
“This is Farshah, the Pharaoh of Thoth. I came to challenge the Pharaoh of Ra.” Farshah was riding on the deck of his ship with a peculiar looking man next to him.
Leo and Ramses turned to see the arrival of the new fleet. Thoth fleet landed, and Farshah exited with his entourage. Leo recognized the winged man next to him.
Leo sent the man a message using mana. “You were apart of lucy’s team, right?”
The winged human shot Leo a look right away. “That man was also trapped in the Sphinx’s domain with us.” Keysol thought to himself. He turned to Farshah as they were walking over. “The man next to that city’s Pharaoh is someone I know. I’m going to go talk to him.”
Keysol kicked off the ground and flew towards Ramses group. The guards were startled.
Leo threw out his arm and said, “Put your weapons down. He is here to talk to me.”
Keysol landed in front of Leo. “Mind if we have a chat?”
“Let us go over there and talk. The Pharaohs can battle without us involved,” Leo responded.
The two of them left the two kings to fight it out and headed to a large rock nearby. Leo leaned against it as Keysol sat on top.
“So your name is Keysol from the Divine Kingdom. Nice to meet you, people call me Leo.”
“Leo, how did you end up here?”
Leo explained the events that unfolded and how he woke up near the City of Ra. He even told how three Sphinx beasts arrived to take care of him. Keysol thought that was weird, but explained how he ended up near Thoth. With both being Core Builders, they could quickly become kings here on this planet if they wanted to such a thing.
After talking for a while, the victor had been Ramses. Leo sent him a message to invite the Thoth’s Pharaoh to stay for a bit while he discussed things with Keysol.
Keysol then asked a question, “How are we going to get back to Earth?”
