Survival To Godhood - Chapter 145 Plan For Returning
Keysol’s question to Leo had him in deep thought all night. Keysol told Thoth’s Pharaoh he wish to stay awhile to discuss things with City of Ra’s High Vizier. Farshah didn’t want to leave his new Master here, so he asked Ramses for permission to stay awhile.
A few more City Pharaohs arrived, and even though Ramses didn’t need to take them on, Leo suggested him to gain further battle experience by doing so. Ramses won the next four challenges, and word got around not to challenge him anymore.
A few days later, everyone entered the Pharaoh’s chamber. Keysol enjoyed finally feeling mana again and was surprised to see the three beasts cultivating quietly in the room.
“This is your royal chamber?” Farshah asked in amazement.
“Yes. After Master rebuilt it, mana flowed like a fog of energy in here,” answered Ramses.
“Would you mind me taking notes to try and replicate this in my city?”
“Not at all. After all, since our Masters are friends, I consider us the same.” Farshah was the next youngest Pharaoh after Amun and Ramses. Farshah had just turned 43, but he looked no more than an 18-year-old boy.
While the Pharaohs discussed the chamber and cultivation, Leo talked to Keysol and the three beasts.
“With this planet’s technology, we could borrow a spaceship to get back to earth,” Leo said plainly.
“The technology of this planet is too primitive. If we don’t use mana-engine technology, it will take us many years to make it to the next solar system. On top of it all, we don’t even know which direction Earth is from here.” Keysol rebutted. He wasn’t trying to discourage them from just laying out the facts.
The beasts were just listening. They haven’t ever lived outside of the Sphinx zone, so their experience wouldn’t help here. Thoth had a ship they were building for space for a few years now. Keysol offered to bring it to Ra to work on with Leo.
Leo knew a few things after studying artifacts to repair Sprite. Keysol and Leo started to hash out the different things the two of them would work on the vessel.
Green Tooth shot Void Slayer a look. “Void Slayer weren’t we suppose to keep Leo from returning.” Green Tooth said in a mana message to Void Slayer and Dark Razor.
“Yes, but have you not been listening? They won’t be able to return for several thousands of years at this rate.”
“Ah, so even if we return by then, Mother should be lenient on us.”
“Hopefully. Until that day arrives, Leo shall never learn the truth.” Void Slayer said in his most serious tone. The three beasts nodded in agreement and went back to listening to Leo’s discussion.
The plan to move the ship to the City of Ra slowly formed together. After a few days, Keysol left with Farshah to get the ball rolling. Leo pulled Ramses to ask him to do something for him.
“Master, what do you need me to do?”
“I’m looking for a person of a race called mermanian. Send your spies to the other cities to find another being strong as keysol and me. This person was sent here the same as us and its paramount to locate him.”
“We will find him, Master,” Ramses replied. This request was the first significant task he was asked to do.
for visiting.
It took about three months in Earth’s time to the get space ship to the City of Ra. On Duat, three Earth days equals one day on planet Duat. So in actually only 30 days past on Duat.
Ten of Thoth’s best scientist traveled with Keysol to learn this new ship design. Ramses had his best scientist also assist. The first thing was Keysol talking about how Winged Human race collected mana as they traveled using a fishing method. They would release two wings that would gather the mana moving faster than light. Keysol made a rough sketch of the two sails, and Leo began to design them.
What surprised Leo was the information about mana he was learning. If every planet produced mana, where is it vanishing to at such fast speeds?
Leo used a combination of metal and crystal to create the wings of mana. After another one more month on Duat, Leo finished the wings, and the scientist began attaching them to the hull of the ship. Now they needed to re-enforce hull of the vessel to handle the speed at which they will be traveling. The only problem was that making the shell thicker would cause it to be heavier.
The ship would need additional rockets to assist the mana engine in escaping Duat’s atmosphere. Keysol instructed the scientist to focus on the rockets while he and Leo focused on the mana engine.
The trick of the mana engine was to have machinery change mana in propulsion. The construction of the engine is why Leo wanted to pick the mermanian’s brain to see if he could assist in its build.
Another two months passed on Duat. Leo cultivation was steadily increasing. He was just a bit from reaching peak stage in Core Building. Then he would be able to break into Shattering level. Leo also worked on his mace technique to able to execute each strike efficiently during battle.
Keysol enjoyed Leo’s company and trained his spear technique, against Leo’s mace technique. Even though they didn’t break into the next level, both of their precision and method increased in the last few months.
Papyrus broke into stage 5 Tempering Body catching up to Ramses under Green Tooth’s guiding. Ramses couldn’t escape the Tempering body stage. His talent for moving mana into his dantian was pitiful at best. Leo just told him to persevere, and he would soon break into Mana Fighter level. If he went any further than that would depend on luck and his determination.
