Survival To Godhood - Chapter 149 Almots Assaul
A fleet of thousands of soldiers waited for two ships to leave the City of Ra. A spy in the Pharaoh’s royal servants told Almot VII of their departure. Since that supreme expert was leaving, now was the time for his revenge.
Almot VII was crippled and could only move around by wheelchair. This embarrassment caused his resentment for Ramses only to increase. He sneaked in some sleeping medicine into his son’s soup, causing him to slip into a coma.
His son wanted him to let go since the Pharaoh spared his life, but he could do no such thing. After his son was disposed of, he took control of the fleet and flew towards the City of Ra.
Picking up the communication device, Almot gave his command. “Attack the Pharaoh.”
In his throne room, the Pharaoh, Ramses XV, sat upon his chair receiving gifts in hopes of his favor or blessings. Peasants would bestow upon the king a gift, and he would then respond in kind.
A farmer walked forward with a camel calf. “Please allow this calf to become apart of your royal herd. He is healthy and born with tough hoofs.” The farmer boasted with pride in his small calf.
The Pharaoh smiled and then said, “I thank you and your family for gifting me such a healthy animal, Magister grant him two stacks of feed. Also, may Ra watch over your family.”
“Thank you, my Pharaoh. Thank you.” Wepted the farmer as he bowed several times. One of the royal guards came and ushered the man away. A royal servant moved the calf away to the stable.
The next simple peasant came forward to present what looked like a mana crystal. The remaining guards and Pharaoh’s eyes shined with surprise.
“My Pharaoh, while mining in the caves I stumbled upon this crystal and wished to present it to you.” The poor miner said bowing holding out the crystal.
The Pharaoh wanted to see if this indeed was a mana crystal. He motioned for a royal servant to retrieve it for him. A scrawny servant stepped forward and went to the miner to grab the jewel of mana. The servant grabbed the crystal and made its way to the king.
Kneeling before the Pharaoh, the servant presented the crystal to him. As Ramses reached out, the servant yelled.
“For the true Pharaoh, Almot!”
The servant tucked the crystal to its chest as a hidden bomb exploded on him. The blast collided with crystal creating a mana bomb explosion. This blast would be powerful enough even to hurt a Core Builder.
for visiting.
His two remaining royal guards acted fast and stepped in front of Ramses to shield him from the explosion only to be incinerated. In a world of hatred, allowing one enemy to return one day could cost your life. This lesson was one which Ramses would learn right before scorching flames burned him alive. A tear fell from his eyes but soon was vaporized with the rest of the Pharaoh.
The entire throne room was destroyed, taking everyone’s lives within it with it. The whole royal court gone in mere seconds.
Seeing the pyramid explode, Almot knew his attack was successful. “Level this city to the ground.” Commanded Almot to the fleet.
The fleet of ships opened fire upon the city. The bombardment soon destroyed the outer wall and buildings. Countless civilians died in the assault.
The city’s army had no time to react, as their barracks and their flight lines were blown to smithereens. All chances of retaliation were destroyed first as to not leave any hope for the City of Ra. This assault was the first time since ancient times a city was razed to the ground.
Deep inside the pyramid, the last remaining guard wept while holding the charred Pharaoh in his hands. As the place began to crumble around him, he knew he must beg the Ancient one for help.
Running as fast as he could, he made it to the Pharaoh’s chamber. He began banging on the door. Screaming, “Ancient One, we need your help.”
Inside the chamber, Void Slayer couldn’t properly cultivate with the ground shaking so much. Then he heard a muffling sound from the chamber’s door. He lazily walked towards the door and opened it.
On the ground in front of him was one of the guards his brother Green Tooth trained. The man covered in blood and ash begged on his knees. Tears poured forth, as the man yelled to the lion, “Please…Ancient One.”
“What is wrong human?” Void Slayer said indifferently.
“An attack on the city…” cried the guard.
“That is your own matters. Leave me be.” The lion turned to walk away.
“But his highness and my brothers were killed.”
The Sphinx beast stopped in its tracks. The humans that his brother trained died in this pathetic world. Fury started to rise in the lion’s gut.
“How did this happen?”
“They used a sneak attack.”
The lion slammed his paw on the ground cracking it. “Unhanded methods, I see. Go inside, human. Await for my return.”
From inside his ship, Almot spotted a creature shoot into the sky from the destroyed pyramid. In seconds Almot’s entire fleet received a mana message.
“I shall bury you with those you had underhandly killed.”
Hundreds of Void Blast shot out. Every time one smashed into a ship, it would explode instantly. One by one, Almot’s untouched fleet fell to the ground in a fiery blaze. His full-proof plan didn’t account for the beast before him.
As a Void Blast flew towards his ship, the crew began to panic. He knew this was the end. Almot wasn’t sad he was dying for he wiped out the Ramses bloodline and that was enough for him. The only regret was that his son would be left with no army and the enemies Almot VII made would take revenge upon his son.
“I’m sorry son…”
The Void Blasts eradicated the fleet in minutes. Destroyed ships encircled the burning and fallen city. Screams of pain could be heard all over as a lone beast floated above the city.
