Surviving In My Novel - Chapter 116
BANG
“CAWCAW!!!”
FLOP
Simon aimed at a dummy’s head, 20 metres away from him, only to end up hitting a flying crow in the sky.
BANG BANG BANG
Another 3 crows fell down from the sky like rain from the clouds. This time, Simon was raging furiously on the inside. If he knew what had happened the night before, he might have kicked Blue out of the house.
His one night of effort had ended up giving birth to a gun art which did not even shoot the right way. If he aimed at a lake, he might kill a cat. If he shot a tree, he might destroy a cave. If he shot at the sky, a bunch of evil assassins might end up dying just like that. Maybe if he shot himself, he might miss and end up killing an immortal.
All that was left for him was a stupid gun art. All of his hard work down the drain.
“…” Simon’s eyes looked as dead as the protagonist, staring off into the house’s courtyard like a stalking void. His body looked sort of slouched and his expression was deadpan.
Everything felt like it would have come into place perfectly, yet nothing was right.
“Ugh…” Simon came back inside and made himself a cup of tea.
In the forest:
“Lu! The bandits are approaching from the north! Intercept them with a chopstick barrage, quickly!” Yu yelled fiercely as he tossed a pillow at a rushing bandit, severing the latter’s head
“MONSTERS!!! KILL THEM!!!” The bandits seemed like vicious animals that had been caught off guard by apex predators. The only thing they could do was kill.
“On it.” Lu jumped on top of a tree and summoned forth a rain of chopsticks, commanding them to strike at a huge wooden fenced off area filled with bandits.
PUCHI PUCHI PUCHI…
“AAAARGH!” The bandits quickly fell into disarray, running everywhere in hopes of running away from the storm of chopsticks.
Unlike before, they were screaming out of their minds.
“Leave the stragglers to me!” Shu floated in the air with a single flip flop in his hand.
“Feel the wrath of justice!” A huge phantasmal flip flop came down from the sky and crushed any of the remaining survivors to death. Their screams were barely acknowledged as they were soon blocked out by the impending doom that they summoned before them.
The YuLuShu brothers had won the tenth victory in this new world.
After arriving in the new world earlier than expected, the trio began investigating where Simon could have gone. At first they did not manage to find anything, but they soon heard that bandits were getting mopped up like ants in the forest. Thus, the trio investigated and found that one of the bandit groups had encountered a strange and very powerful duo that did not even take foundation building practitioners seriously.
Knowing that this was their only clue of finding their all powerful master, the trio continued destroying bandit camps until they ran out of information to tell. The main thing they heard from every group was that one of the members of the mysterious duo is a man so beautiful that even a straight man would get a flaming erection.
As such, the Trio instantly knew exactly who the bandits were referring to. However, they did not manage to find a route that Simon had gone through. This had led to a massive conflict in the forest where the brothers repeatedly massacred bandits in the hopes of finding the route.
Of course they did not kill anyone innocent, they only killed those that were evil. And they considered anyone part of a group that steals and murders, evil enough to eliminate.
So after this exhausting week long adventure, the group only managed to find out that Simon and an unknown tomboy individual had traveled somewhere east. That did not give them too much of a description, but they followed the trail of scared bandits like a hunter would stalk its prey. Even a late foundation stage cultivator would not be able to fend off any one of them. They had simply become that strong.
“Shu, master’s trail is still going on and on. We might need to sleep again, this trip will take a toll if we do not rest.” Yu recalled as he handed Shu a mug filled with hot chocolate.
“Ahh.. thanks, Yu. I think we should take a break too. We’ve cleared almost every bandit hideout in this side of the forest. I doubt anyone would sneak up on us tonight.”
“I will keep watch for the first shift.” Lu stood next to a tree as the lights grew dimmer and dimmer, slowly drifting into the night.
‘Spawnpoint’:
“Mom! This place is so green! The colours in the sky are so bright too! So weird!” Dahlia rubbed her eyes and squinted at the sight of so many vibrant colours.
“Young Miss, be careful! We will protect your eyes!” Lenn, Coliart, and Light all appeared with different sunglasses and stacked them on Dahlia’s face.
“Aaargh!” Dahlia took two of them off and wore the one which covered her eyes already.
“Good choice.” Light sparkled in the light, exuding an aura of pride and satisfaction. He had pleased the Dahlia and gained more favour. Simon would surely think better of him he thought.
“Hmmph! Lucky bastard. You just have quicker hands!” Lenn pouted and crossed his arms, looking away and shaking his head with a disappointed expression.
“I will win next time.” Coliart also did the exact same as Lenn.
“Losers are losers.” Light put on his own set of sunglasses and made a confident pose.
“Enough already!” Malece snapped.
“We have work to do, come help the kids! We need to gather information and find my Hubby as soon as possible!” Malece ordered with a stern look, pointing at the group of children who looked perfect fine and ready.
“But they-”
“No buts! Get to work!”
“Yes, Mistress!” Everyone went to work and gathered the children in a neat formation at a nearby clearing which may or may not have been where the protagonist suddenly died.
In fact, there was a rotting corpse there which Light disintegrated to stop the kids from getting scared.
But who knows? Protagonists all have plot armour right? Probably.
In this day and age, not even a king can stay safe against a dragon.
“First order of business, collect information on the YuLuShu brothers and find out my husband’s whereabouts!” Malece stated the goals straight away, without any hesitation. This needed to be done as soon as possible so everyone could move forward.
“Second priority is collecting other relevant information about this world. We need to know about the power scaling, the cities and the history. Local cuisine comes third, we need to understand what we are eating before actually taking them in. We can’t exactly go back home whenever we want. That gate won’t recharge for another month. So let’s all work hard and grow stronger!” Malece finished her invigorating speech, walking over to Dahlia and hugging her.
“Make sure to stay safe out here too. Your dad would really be angry if you managed to get even a single scratch on your face. He might even destroy a city if that happened…”
“Don’t worry, mom. I am responsible.”
Simon’s group:
VROOM VROOM
BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ
“CUT CUT! UNTIL I CAN’T CUT NO MORE!!!” Simon was busy with collecting wood for building temporary shelters. Since his lawnmower technique essentially gave him the ability to cut almost anything, he put himself to great use in the art of deforestation.
“Simon! Don’t cut too much otherwise this place might go into climate change!” Michelle yelled in the distance.
“Don’t worry! I’m replanting as I go!” Simon tossed a bundle of seeds all over the ground as he passed by with his all powerful lawnmower of doom.
BZZZZT
“Ah! I think I cut a squirrel! Poor thing.” Simon continued cutting through the trees, continuing until he had enough wood to build the homes for around 1100 people.
Jack’s group:
“Yo, Mu. How is your sword training coming along?” Tyrone popped out of nowhere in his blossom form, wielding his sword.
“Wanna test it out?” Mu drew his sword and readied himself to spar with Tyrone.
“Stop what you’re doing! We have work to do! These houses aren’t gonna build themselves! Do you think anyone else has time to spar and have fun? No! Get to work before the Mistress yells!” Jack bonked each of them on the head with a flip flop, moving on to cut some pieces of wood into nicely cut planks. This was truly the fine work of a carpenter.
“Even the disciples have to work so hard… makes you wonder what all of these planks are going to look like once the Blood Guardians are done with them. I bet each of us will be in a 3 bedroom condo. I hope I end up with the both of you.” Mu cheered.
“That’d be cool.”
“I agree.”
