Surviving In My Novel - Chapter 127
“Junior Brother Hui, Junior Brother Tian has completed his trial with flying colours! With just the night of his roaring gun, he was able to destroy an entire demonic sect. Every single bullet hit a target and destroyed everything in its path! I could not believe it at first, it was just too terrifying to watch.” Wu Zhong told Simon the story of how Blue destroyed the demonic sect with mainly her own efforts and slaughtered them all like pigs.
Because of the high capacity nature of Blue’s gun, she was able to destroy the entire demonic sect without so much as a worry for her ammunition running out. Even the elders noted that they had never seen such a terrifying display of might and could not fathom how on earth Blue managed to create such a terrifying weapon of mass destruction.
If everyone in their sect had an LMG, not even the rest of the world would be able to fight back. The might of endless bullets reigned supreme in the battlefield.
“It is to be expected.” Simon responded.
“Thanks to your contributions during the trials, the demonic sect territories to the east have all been subjugated. We can now rest easy knowing that our disciples won’t be targeted by those bloodthirsty savages!”
“Now, onto more important matters. The sect will be assigning you 1000 disciples to train this week. You just need to get them to a stage where they can work well in war. We really do not need fighters that can only fight alone. We need warriors that can fight together in a unit.”
“Okay. How many of them need to survive?” Simon asked.
“Preferably all of them.” Wu Zhong gave a confused expression.
“Alright. I will start training them tomorrow then. I do not currently have a training regimen to give 1000 random disciples, so please do not rush me.”
“Since I have to go easy on them and make sure they do not die, the training regimen needs to be carefully prepared.”
Essentially, Simon was saying that the disciples needed to be carried through training and required much more effort to train to the same level as their more battle hardened counterparts. Since the difficulty would be easy, Simon was given a huge headache in planning everything. Easy was not really in his vocabulary anymore.
After beating Hell and making it his b***h, he had already abandoned the easy difficulty. He trained his disciples in gruelling exercises and none of them died because of their young ages. His Blood Guardians also were proven to be the best of the best during his training of them. This is because of their already great foundations as palace guards. But these random disciples?
It was simply too annoying to train them all to higher levels so he sighed in relief when he heard that the disciples only needed to be trained to be able to fight in wars. However, not all wars are fought in forests, so he would not be able to use the trap method on them.
This left him with the task of deciding an easy training method that produced decent results without killing them.
It was like saying to Simon, ‘low risk, high reward.’ Simply retarded.
If the soldiers cannot feel the taste of death as they train to become better soldiers than they are not going to become better soldiers. Improvement needs pressure to cook the body and temper the will.
“I understand. Take this day and bring glory to our sect.” Wu Zhong left with a ringing in his ears. The gunshot sounds were still as vibrant as before.
‘So I need to create a training method that can get a bunch of low level disciples to the point where they can fight in wars… this is going to be difficult.’
“Kitty! Get over her.”
Immediately, Kitty jumped through a door and landed on a chair in front of Simon.
“Meow!” Kitty meowed in excitement because he had finally been called by Simon again.
“Kitty, I need you to get me a bunch of thunder kangaroos.”
“Meow?”
Thunder kangaroos were essentially kangaroos that had lightning affinity. They could shock opponents in close range and could stun opponents with their kicks.
“I need 1000 of them before the end of the night.”
“Meow?!”
“I will order Spirit Salmon with butter sauce.”
“Meow!” Kitty nodded his head and saluted to Simon before running out of the mansion and into the wilderness.
“Too easy.”
Now all Simon needed to do was actually figure out what to do with all of those kangaroos. Actually, he had already thought up a plan that fitted very well for the current situation.
“Cavalry.”
‘Thunder kangaroos are blessed with speed and explosive power, therefore making them a substitute for real soldiers. All I need to do is train the disciples to ride kangaroos and my job will be done. They won’t die as easily because kangaroos are well equipped to defend them and they won’t lose too much experience since they are not being babied too much. I believe this is the best course of action.’ Simon nodded in his head.
‘If only I could actually sleep for more than three hours before being interrupted. It is barely dawn and Wu had to wake me up for this. I just want to sleep sometimes; it’s hard enough being in a Cultivation world with some annoying brat.’
Simon stood up and faced the window.
“There is literally no point in doing anything else today. I think I already know how to train those disciples for now. I have also thought of the teachings I will impart on those three new disciples. So for today, I will just rest and do nothing for once.”
Simon went to bed and just slept. This would be what he does for the next day, not waking up once. Because of the amount of annoyances he had to deal with in the past two months, his mind felt like a dumpster. This rest was indeed much needed.
Somewhere else, in a secluded part of the forest, a meeting was taking place between the remaining bandit organisations that had not been annihilated by people associated with Simon.
“Old Wang, our Sky Fury gang has lost 90% of our assets and men because of those monsters! We cannot even identify them because no one ever survives! Everyone dies like ants drowning underwater! How can we launch an offensive if we do not know who we are launching an offensive on?”
“Brother Long, Trust in my words. We can defeat this invisible terror and regain control of the forest. We just need to sweep every corner and leave no stone unturned. If we do this, we can finally reign supreme again!” Old Wang explained with a glint in his eyes.
“Bro Long, this is a war that cannot be fought on the defensive. We must launch our own attacks otherwise we will die like sheep at the butchers. I do not wish for our bandit alliance to lose all of our wealth and lives. We must prepare for a full scale battle and destroy the monsters that plague us!” Another bandit leader exclaimed with fury.
“Do any of you even know what you’re talking about?! How do we know that it was a group of people?! It could have been a single monster that has been stalking us like a boogeyman! It could have been a Nascent Soul! Do you all want to die to a Nascent Soul expert?! Are you all f***ing crazy?!”
“You damn right we are crazy! We are crazy because we are losing all of our men and treasures to an unseen foe! Our bandit alliance will lose all that we have if we do not fight back! If we do not launch this offensive, there will be no wealth for us to plunder! We will all die!” The other bandit leader said with even more passion.
“Haha… Han Zhaoming, I knew it all along… you are only advising us to take this route for one reason. You want to take the forest for yourself! If we all die chasing this monster, you can take the spoils like candy from a baby! Do not think you can trick me, I have been a bandit for far too long for those childish conspiracies to work on me!” Long grasped his axe and pointed it towards Han Zhaoming.
“You dare point your weapon towards me?!”
“DO NOT DARE AND FIGHT IN MY HOUSE!”
“SHUT UP OLD MAN!”
And just like that, another internal conflict started because of Simon. Directly or indirectly caused, doesn’t matter.
“I, BAO FU SHALL KILL YOU AND TAKE YOUR TREASURES!!!” Another random bandit leader entered the fray.
Everyone died.
