Surviving In My Novel - Chapter 86
“Welcome home, little darling.” A happy feminine voice resounded in the chamber.
Simon looked forward and cast his gaze upon Malece on her throne, sipping on a glass of fine wine. She grinned profusely and looked quite joyful in seeing Simon return to the palace voluntarily.
“Why have you returned on such a mundane day? Is the academy not to your standards? And who is that ugly clone standing beside you?” Malece asked curiously as she put away her glass.
“You should know well enough that the academy is not enough for me to be entertained, I just have to attend so I can act like any other noble devil youth. As for the person beside me, he is my twin brother, Jazukal. And why do you say he is ugly? He is a reflection of me.”
“He may look pleasing to any normal youth, but he does not have the same grace and demeanour as you. Your body is built quite gracefully, perhaps as lithe as mine.” Malece commented with a blush.
Simon gagged in disgust.
“Brother… I think I am about to…” Jazukal fainted from the presence of Malece.
“Weak. That is another reason I chose you. Other children would have fainted.”
“I thought I was selected randomly.” Simon reminded her.
Malece pauses for a moment and recalled something. With a wide grin, she explained more to Simon.
“While it may have been selective, my prerequisites were that my partner needed to be able to stand in front of me and not pass out from my aura. They also needed to have a level of pride and cunningness.” Malece explained.
“I see.”
“Dear wife, I actually came here for a favour.” Simon stepped forward and dragged his brother’s body by the leg.
“I need you to find some low level guards to train him for the next few week while I handle some more private matters.” Simon spoke without a hint of hesitation. Seeing as he had never asked for too much, he might as well ask for a few things from Malece.
“A favour you say? And how will you pay me back?” Malece held a smug expression as she got her left hand and formed a circle with it, poking her right index finger in and out of it.
“You were a v.i.r.g.i.n for a Millenia or so, you can live another few years without i.n.t.e.r.c.o.u.r.s.e.” Simon retorted calmly.
“Fine, I will get some weaker guardians to spar with that brother of yours. As for you, I want you to talk dirty to me just one time.”
“Why are you so unprofessional? You are a ruling monarch, you should be acting as such.” Simon complained.
“You are too cold to your wife. You won’t even sleep in the same bed with me, how am I supposed to feel?” Malece responded with an expression of loneliness.
“Stop complaining. If an old man of 1000 years of age forced you onto his bed when you were only 16, how would you feel?”
The room became silent again and Malece looked down to her feet. She remembered that the situation was true, and she would probably be feeling the same way as Simon if it had happened to her. She did in fact feel guilt for what she did, but she had hoped that her actions in making Simon feel at home would encourage him to forgive her for her actions. She had started to feel a warmth in her heart for him, and now she felt as though she was too late.
“You even justified yourself rather than giving a sincere apology. You actually bound myself to you for all eternity. How am I supposed to feel?”
Malece looked towards Simon and decided on what must be done.
“Little darling, I regret what I did to you. I wish that you would forgive me so we can move forward. I was wrong and did something to you that is heinous and deprived you of your innocence. However, I can tell that you are definitely not 16 years of age.”
Simon looked at her and smiled. He may not be 16 mentally, he may have even lived for the same amount or more than her. But he did not appreciate what she had done to him. However, he did feel like the apology was enough for him to move forward.
“So you admit that you were wrong?” Simon asked.
“I admit that I was wrong. Please just acknowledge me as your loving wife. I want what is best for you and I.”
“Is that so?”
“I may have met you by chance, but I d.e.s.i.r.e you by choice.” She answered.
“Then you are partially forgiven. You finally developed some empathy, I admire that. You do not try to justify what you did anymore, I also admire that. I hate those that think I will not punish them, but you do not seem to care about being punished. It may be because you have power, but it may also be because you feel guilt. Is so, do you truely love me? Or are you just feeling guilty?” Simon finally asked.
“I do not know…”
“So you are not attracted by this outward appearance or power?”
“No.”
“I am not just a tool for you to become stronger?”
“No.”
“I am your equal?”
“Yes.”
“How long were you going to hide that child in your w.o.m.b?”
