Surviving In My Novel - Chapter 89
Some time ago, possibly millions upon millions of years, I was a humble and hardworking child in one of the more weaker realms. During these times, I was hungry and disappointed in myself.
From the first time I could speak, I knew the word ‘loss’. It was finely imprinted upon my weak and innocent heart. From the time I could walk, I had strived to run. When I could run, I learnt to fight. When I could fight, I could only continue. I was a pitiful existence.
My birth parents left long before I could speak, long before I knew my name. All I knew was that I had to rely on my self to survive. In a world where an urchin could only beg, I decided to hustle. Such a life was very pitiful when I look back at it, but it is was made me into the being I am today. I was not always a Deity, I was once just a little boy with a dream. A beaten and battered child that only wanted to become stronger in the hopes of being recognised and distinguished amongst his peers.
Such a dream was common. However, the events that took place in my life were far from common. When I look back at these events, I remembered the starting point of my journey towards godhood. I remembered so clearly. It was a day like any other, just another child trying to run from a gang of cowards. That day marked my first step towards immortality and my first meeting with the one I call ‘Dad’. I remember it all too clearly, like my sword…no, better than my sword.
It is a pity that I will have to wait perhaps a billion more years before I can see him again. But time is relative, I can wait longer. When my time comes, I will ascend from this realm and meet him again.

Blood Palace:
ZWOOOSH
A regally dressed devil appeared next to a large statue. In a large fancy lobby filled with many a.d.u.l.t guests, the man appeared to be unnoticed. Wearing an expressive mask to hide his identity, the man left the main lobby towards a door, taking a turn in the hallway and purposefully walking towards somewhere. The man was on a mission and no one knew or cared what it was.
“I wonder… perhaps two years was not enough time.” The man said with a grin.
Knock knock
He waited for less than a minute before the door opened and he was faced with a throne room. On the throne was a familiar figure, of a person he knew to be his wife.
“Malece.” Simon said as he approached the throne.
“Is that all you have to say after leaving for two years? I have been waiting and waiting but you did not come back. I thought you were trying to run away.” Malece spoke with a hint of anger in her voice.
“Why would you think that? I had things to do so I did them. Unlike you who only sits on a throne and worries about problems that can be solved with just a little force. Speaking of which, I came back to see if my child is born yet.”
Malece glared at Simon and gestured her hands towards a door behind her throne.
“She is sleeping.” Malece said with a foul voice.
“Oh, a girl? Well it does not matter, my child nonetheless. Now then, I expect your full cooperation in handing over the rights to raising the child to me. I guarantee her a future you can never give her.” Simon happily expressed his d.e.s.i.r.e as he plucked his mask off of his face.
“I cannot let you take Dahlia.” Malece defiantly responded.
“I was not asking.” Simon said with a rather cold tone.
“You see, I am not the weak boy you remember from two years ago. I learned a thing or two, I am strong and maybe even a bit wiser too. I even took one your phrases to heart!”
“I AM YOUR LORD.”
BOOM
A powerful pulse of energy erupted from Simon’s body, filling the room with the aura of a near inconceivable existence. With this, the once white paint on his horns shed and revealed the grandeur of gold.
Malece felt like she would choke under the absolutely crushing pressure of Simon’s aura but managed to keep herself standing on the count of her willpower.
“You once said that during our first meeting, no?”
“If I am not wrong, a mere 1st rank visionary would view a 9th rank similarly to a god, so naturally a 1st rank devil magician showed look to a 9th rank devil magician as a god too. Show your respect and give me my daughter, I will not ask twice.”
“She is asleep, please don’t wake her.” Malece said while sweating with tears coming from her eyes.
“And? I do not have all day. I will not allow my child to live in such a lowly place. She will be raised to become strong, and she will be her own pillar. This realm can not offer her that opportunity.” Simon coldly responded.
“I have already decided on the best route for her upbringing. Decide what you will do now. I plan on leaving before the end of this year.”
“For now, I want to see my dear little Dahlia.”
