Sweet CEO’s First Love - Chapter 101
Heart sighed happily as he stood, stretching his long legs out. The car was nice, but for his long legs it had been a rather long cramped forty-five minutes.
Not bad when he had spent all of it sleeping, but that still didn’t stop him from aching when he woke up.
The car was parked around the circular driveway that led up to was a building that had a large overhang connecting two buildings, one smaller and one larger one. In the middle of the roof that spanned the two of them was a small rectangular pool that broke up the concrete sidewalk.
On the other side of the car and driveway was a small little lawn with two large twisting trees, though nothing was alive with bright greenery since it was all covered in a thin layer of frost. Heart shivered in the cold air. Seungwoo gestured at the large double glass door entryway. The white concrete walls on the outside of the circular building gave the whole thing a contemporary chic vibe.
They walked inside the building, and Heart stopped as he looked at the large entry that led into the main living room and adjacent entry they all stood in. The entry was a long white L shape with slate gray walls and a wood paneling feature at the end. It had a small little fountain in front of it that bubbled very quietly around a little round midnight colored stone.
“I wonder where everyone is, It’s like one am. I didn’t think everyone would be sleeping. I mean, normally, they stay up pretty late here.” Seungwoo said as he walked a bit in front of them.
He motioned for us to remove our shoes and we took them off and he gestured at a closet. Inside the closet was a pile of white slippers still in plastic wrapping. “Just take one of those Mark bought it in preparation for you guys coming.”
Heart pointed at a pair of pink and matching blue fluffy ones. “Whose are those?” he asked Seungwoo, interest peaked.
Seungwoo smiled. “The blue pair is Miran’s and the Pink pair are Mrs. Wu, the cleaning ladies.”
“Or sometimes the resident baby Changwook,” Seungwoo said, scoffing at himself.
“Oh, they have a baby, how cute. How old is he.” Heart asked.
Saint chuckled. He turned to look at Saint, who stared at him with a bemused expression on his face and one big dose of delight twinkling in his eyes.
‘Great laugh at me…’ Heart thought.
“He’s an adult, he can wear the slippers Heart,” Saint said, shaking his head at him.
“I… He could like to play dress up and just be a little kid. How was I supposed to know.” Heart snapped at him.
Seungwoo chuckled.
“Nothing like a sprinkle of new love. Am I right?” He said sarcastically, looking over at Kit.
Kit sighed. “It’s one am, but they never stop their bickering, and they never will, will they?” He asked no one in particular.
“Of course not, I never stop at night,” Saint said, grinning wickedly.
Heart looked over at him, annoyed.
“Which way is it?” He asked, pointing down the hall that went past the living room. He stopped to look at the nice stone tile in the sunken living room with blue couches in front of a TV, fireplace combo, a big white table in between it, and the two couches. The guy named Mark, who lived here, must have a passion for books, and it showed. It covered the walls surrounding everything but the focal wall in dark navy blue bookcases filled with a multitude of books,
Seungwoo smirked. “Wait a minute, Mr. Perv is done and so are you, but the rest of your friends haven’t gotten their slippers on yet.” He looked around. “Scratch that, only Ten hasn’t.”
Ten frowned. “I had to reply to a text message. Nine asked if we landed safely and if I was going to be doing a remote live after they do theirs, or before.” Ten pouted.
Heart looked back down at the slippers.
‘Actually, they were really cute, he wouldn’t mind a pair of those for himself. He knew High would love them as they were almost a peachy pink color not a baby pink. A color High really adored. Just thinking about that, he wondered how High and everyone was getting along back home. He knew things had been rocky for a bit there, and because of his own business with Saint and his emotions he had never even gotten to ask how Tone was doing with all the changes with all the pressure from being the great Ring’s protege.’
He looked at his phone, ‘Wasn’t it tonight, in an hour, that the new magazine spread?’ Their first photo shoot as a group would be out worldwide for purchase. He heard that the photo shoot had been super hard on Tone.’
He palmed his phone, wondering what he should do. ‘Probably not text him, no he could do that after the photos came out. He needed to pay attention and show their hosts his respect. But maybe it would be okay since Ten was doing a live then anyway.’
Seungwoo pointed down a hall and nudged his head, hinting they should follow him down it. They all obeyed, following him slowly, Saint beside Seungwoo, Kit coming up behind Ten and then himself.
“Will you be doing a live later, after the photos and interviews are released then?” Heart asked Ten quietly.
Ten nodded.
“I’m going to ask for a private space to do it in.”
Heart smiled.
“Are you nervous?”
Ten grinned. “Heck yeah, super nervous. I think I would be crazy not to be. It’s been a rough few months for the group. We lost managers, gained managers, got told we were expanding. Gained some really nice people, and spent time healing and fixing and working together. It’s been a really crazy time, and I just hope everyone can see how hard we are trying.”
“And they were pairing photos. I am a little nervous Kit will kill me.”
Heart chuckled. “I am sure you will be fine, Kit loves you and he understands it was for work. Besides, they can’t be that bad.” heart replied.
“True, they are nowhere near as bad as Ring and Tones.” Ten agreed.
Heart blinked at him in surprise.
‘RingTone coupled together, now that sounded deadly. Maybe he should call, not message then? Not now, once the live was done. They were two hours behind them, so it would only be midnight. Midnight should be fine for calling them.’
They came out of the hall out on a little mini courtyard outside with a little campfire going in the middle of them in a little stone square table, and four people were lounging across the large stuffed sofas and a few chairs, drinking beer and chatting.
They all turned at Seungwoo’s entry and one of them jumped up with a big grin on his face.
“Hyung, you are finally here, jeez, we thought you had taken them straight to work with how long you guys were talking.” The guy wrapped his arms around Seungwoo’s waist giving him a hug and Seungwoo looked down at him with a single raised eyebrow. The kid looked at him sheepishly, his eyes turning into little moons that were both adorable and handsome, underneath all the cute wrinkles.
The guy had a naturally cute aura about him that he couldn’t help smiling at.
Seungwoo cleared his throat and pulled the kids’ arms from around his waist.
“It’s midnight, what kinda slave driver do you think I am that I would make them sit on a six-hour flight at night, then go straight to signing and looking over contracts.” He snapped.
“I am nicer than that Changwook.”
Changwook chuckled. “Yes, you are as nice as Mark is” He said playfully, which only made Seungwoo scowl even harder.
Heart guessed that it was some inside joke he didn’t know about and let it go.
“Wookah, behave we have guests we don’t want them thinking he is actually that mean.” A guy with deep brown hair and a serious expression said, his legs were crossed and he didn’t actually look at this Wook kid but rather the other beautiful man sitting perfectly pristine and looking as if he had just stepped off a runway, rather than sitting at one am at home drinking, wearing a pair of blue slippers.
“Okay, Mark.” Changwook said.
“Could have fooled me.” Someone said and he looked around to see who the pretty gentle female voice had been. Heart hadn’t noticed there was anyone but the girl and the three boys, but someone moved from off in the shadows causing Seungwoo’s head to swivel quickly, his face covered in surprise.
Seungwoo turned to look over at Saint, looking as if he needed backup, through some unspoken rule of theirs. Saint walked up to him and Changwook took one look at Saint’s face and bounded away after realizing that was not something he wanted to put up with, so late in the night.
Saint stood beside Heart who had been standing just directly behind Seungwoo with Ten.
“I want to go tell her,” Seungwoo said with a forlorn sigh and a look of regret sent towards the girl.
“Then do it,” Saint said.
She stepped into the light and Heart got his first look at this girl Miran that had been the talk between Seungwoo and Saint with almost every conversation. She was stunningly beautiful, even more beautiful than the girl who was sitting on the couch next to the very posed model of a man named Mark. She had long hair that curled around her face as beautiful as those ads from women on tv, her skin was flawless and a pretty soft pearlescent alabaster sheen in the moonlight. When she tipped her head back to take a big swig of beer, her hair cascaded down her back and her cute little nose reached for the sky as her dark long lashes fluttered closed. Her high cheekbones were slightly flushed and her bright red pouty bottom lip stuck out with her pretty heart-shaped top resting on it sweetly.
Seungwoo stared at her even more interested in her than he was. He stared at her deeply as if he were smitten to the point of no rescue, like a man taking in something beautiful he had never seen before.
“I can’t just go up to her and tell her everything I have been holding in for years… I can’t let her know the truth.” Seungwoo said softly.
“Why not? If you’re annoyed, say that you’re annoyed, if you’re happy, say that you’re happy, if you need help, say you need help. The people around you will help you the best they can, that’s what they do. That’s what they are there for. They fill your life with what you’re missing. But they can only help fill the empty spaces if they know that they’re there.”
“She can’t be there for you if you choose not to let her know you need her,” Saint said wisely,
