Sweet CEO’s First Love - Chapter 26
Kit’s phone rang, the vibration of his pocket going off along with the sound of H.M>L’s song greater with you blaring the first ones along with a flashing blue light.
Kit smiled.
“It’s Ten I should get this.” He said, his voice sparkled with repressed joy.
‘Not the kind most people would call joy. He got teased about it all the time, how everything with him was mellowed out. Ten liked it though, so he didn’t really care what anyone else thought since Ten said his gentle, subdued Kit versions of emotions were perfection to him. So that’s all that really mattered anyway.’
Saint smiled cheekily.
“Sure, I kept you two lovebirds apart long enough.”
Kit nodded agreement, and Saint scoffed but smiled very accustomed to Kit’s moods.
“I will take the call in my room..”
Kit walked out of the room and picked up his phone.
“Hi darling, how are you?”
“A little tired and sore from today. But mainly lonely and missing my little kitten.” Ten said.
“Hey, where are you right now?” Ten’s clear smooth voice appeared as a soft echo inside the phone and Kit smiled at his question.
“I am just walking up the stairs towards my room. Amonrat says it’s being renovated but it can’t be that bad.”
“I am going to go hide in there so we can get some privacy.”
Kit walked up the stairs slowly enjoying Ten’s sweet voice as it crooned in his ears. His heartbeat sped for him filled with listless longing.
‘I miss you so much, we have been spending so much time apart lately. I feel empty, my arms feel hopelessly bare without you to cuddle your warm little body into them.’
‘Oh, you miss cuddling me? What about my bony shoulder blades that poke your chest?’ Ten teased.
Kit’s heart jumped happily at the warm, lighthearted tone that caressed him through the phone.
‘Yes, I miss even those.’
Ten chuckled and Kit bit his lip at the sound, his eyes sparkling and his cheeks flushing with a prideful pleasure that he was the source of Ten’s happiness.
“What are you doing? Turn on the camera.”
“Ah, I kinda can’t, unless you are alone?”
“I am alone.” Kit said.
Kit turned his side on and Ten’s camera went from a line through it to the loading sign to suddenly Ten’s beautiful face staring back at him neck-deep in bubbles.
Kit licked his lips and rushed up the stairs.
“I thought you said you were alone?” Ten said naughtily.
“I was, I am.”
“You didn’t tell me I wouldn’t be able to answer the call in a public space.”
Ten chuckled.
Kit gave him a look of reproach.
“What if Saint or anyone else had been right there with me or behind me?”
“That’s why I asked if you were alone. Besides its nothing, they haven’t seen before. Especially Saint.”
“Remember when I did that one CV where I was in a tub full of bubbles just like this.”
“Yes, well, you were wearing shorts under that then, so it’s okay.”
“What if I am wearing shorts now?” Ten teased.
Kit gave him a look.
“Are you?”
Ten giggled. “You caught me. I’m not… I am completely, one hundred percent… naked.” Ten said the last words slowly and in a loud whisper before winking.
Kit shook his head but laughed.
“Oh, my husband the rebel, living life on the dangerous side and bathing naked in our own home.” Kit smiled and opened the door of his room then walked inside.
There was a fresh coat of a light sea-foam green paint on the walls that looked to still be in the process of drying, and the faintly sweet and bitter smell of drying paint wafted up to his nose. Chimlin had covered all of his furniture in white drape clothes which seemed like it had been an excellent choice since he noticed more than a few splatters and specks of the fresh room color all across their drapes.
“Oh, getting ready to kill someone? I once saw a room like that in a movie, a serial killer used it to hide his activities when hacking up bodies.”
“Mhmm, this is where I plan on killing someone, that is what I am doing right now. I really left you to go kill off my latest victim.”
“Oh, good, can it be Ngeun?”
“Can I help?” Ten said brightly.
Kit clicked his tongue.
“Behave.”
“Lord Kitten, I will have you know I have been on my best behavior since you have been gone.”
“I can’t possibly get into any trouble at all.”
“I’m just laying here in the tub, surrounded by bubbles walking my fingers up my bare leg, before attacking the bubbles with my vicious hand.” Ten said playfully.
“Aaaand I am leaning back… while enjoying the deep aroma of coconut.”
“Your shampoo doesn’t smell like coconut, only mine does Ten. Yours smells like cinnamon rolls.”
“Mhmm, I know.”
“But I missed your smell, I missed your warmth.” Ten pouted and rested his chin on both knees gently. The bubbles tickling his cheeks and making him wriggle his nose.
He resembled a small unhappy cat.
Kit sucked in a breath, feeling very much attacked, by the countries, cutie pie.
‘And you said you were behaving.” Kit quipped.
Ten pouted even larger.
“Honestly, if I didn’t love Saint to bits, I would hate him.”
“He is always stealing away my kitten.”
Kit paused.
“I know, but he needs me right now.”
“Even more than you do.”
“I know that, but I want to be selfish, and I want to keep you all to myself.” Ten said sourly.
“So, I still don’t like it.”
“Me too.” Kit said gently.
“Did you listen to my digital single?”
“Yeah, I loved it.” Kit said he had been waiting for Ten to bring it up. He had been working so hard on his spot. The solo introductions each member would do one by one as they added unknown members to the group and got ready to drop a first-ever full album of thirteen songs as a fresh group.
“They really did lots to promote your digital single. I even saw your Oishi drink commercial.”
“What can I say, babe. You know I gotta do the CVs to get those bills paid for our swanky bathtub.”
“Your swanky bathtub.” Kit corrected.
“Meh.”
“What’s mine is yours, isn’t that the married statement?”
“I thought it’s to have and to hold, now everything is both your problem, also known as the proverbial.”
“Ours”
“Pssshhh.”
“Ours.”
“You for sure mean, anything that sounds like you, smells like you, and reminds me of you is mine too. You have been that way since the first year of college.” Kit stated.
Ten chuckled.
“Yes, that is exactly how it is.” He nodded happily.
“It’s almost two in the morning, you should finish your bath and go to sleep. You have to practice in the morning and I have an early meeting with Saint we will have to fly back for. So I will see you after dinner tomorrow.”
“I love you.”
Ten flushed.”
“I love you too.”
“Oh, and I am stealing that dark navy silky blouse of yours to sleep in.”
“Night.” Ten said quickly blew a kiss at the screen then hung up.
Kit laughed.
‘How is that rascal behaving? He knows that’s my confidence shirt I wear when I am going into an enormous battle.’
‘Rotten little… Still, I bet he looks cute.’
Kit pulled out his phone and quickly typed out.
Send me a picture when you do.
Kit put his phone back in his pocket and left the room holding back a tear of longing.
“Are you crying?” Saint asked.
“No, the fumes in there are still a bit strong, if you need privacy for a phone call I highly suggest Amonrat’s study.” Kit said.
“Oh, okay, I believe you one hundred percent, I am going to go take my call in there.”
“Oh, and Kit, make sure you tell Ten to send me a photo of him in your blouse. I really like that one on you. I bet on him it will bring out his warm sun-kissed eyes.”
Kit fake growled.
“You were listening in?”
“You little brat!”
“Is it my fault you were talking loud?”
Kit smacked Saint and walked past him cooly towards Saint’s room.
“I’m telling Heart about your turtle.”
“Wait, Kit you can’t!” Saint whined.
Kit pushed up his glasses, but only to cover his smile.
