Sweet CEO’s First Love - Chapter 35
Saint stared at the words in the darkness, he had been changing his clothes after getting soaked from being on the rooftop. His helicopter from Phuket to Bangkok had just arrived back less than ten minutes ago and they exhausted him with the constant back and forth between his grandfather’s house and the office. But he was doing it daily regardless because He had reported his father’s words to Amonrat just as he promised he would.
Ngeun wasn’t supposed to be coming back. Not until the six months were up. And while they had not expressly said it in the contract that he shouldn’t return to Bangkok. They had expressed that he could not interfere with Saint’s leadership until the six months were over.
He knew Ngeun though; he knew what kinda tricky monster he was and so he had been conversing with his grandfather on all major decisions moving forward hoping by working together they could get rid of him faster.
At first, he had wanted him gone immediately. To block him completely from even stepping back into the country. But Amonrat reminded him that having one close makes it easier to see the dirty deeds they are exchanging under the table all the better.
And so even though he didn’t like it. Even though it made his blood boil to have that man step on the same soil as him.
They had let him keep his tickets to Bangkok so that he could fly in, he would arrive tomorrow night.
And the last three days had been a kinda waking hell he could barely claw his way through.
But then his soaked, tired, sleep-deprived body had seen the text from Kit and it was like a miracle had been given to him.
A dangerous miracle he needed to protect, one that hurt him to know was real, but he couldn’t help but wish it were so.
Then he looked up.
And it was real.
He was there.
Standing only a few feet away, gazing into his eyes longingly.
Saint had never wanted to cry so hard in his life before.
‘I need you.’
‘I am drowning without you.’
‘But I can’t ask you to stay.’
‘I can’t have you by my side with a murderer on the loose who will do everything to take away what I have.’
‘What I long for.’
‘What I… I love deeply with all my heart.’
Saint closed the distance between them and without giving him even a second to prepare wrapped his arms around Heart in a hug and kissed him deeply.
Kissed him a hundred times, a thousand times, he couldn’t stop kissing those lips. All the while staring into Heart’s eyes and wondering if he could sense the need and electricity in the air.
How the air was thick with it.
How much they needed each other.
He slid his hand up Hearts body, enjoying the way it felt to touch him. It didn’t matter to him that there were clothes between them. Or that Heart’s fingers were cold and clammy as they ran up his massive back. Trailing its’ length shakily, and unsure.
Saint slid his hand up to Heart’s neck and squeezed gently with his palm on the side before removing his lips and pressing them to Heart’s ear.
‘Thank you’ he whispered then he threw one hand under Heart’s bottom and the other around his neck and hoisted Heart up and backward so that his bottom landed on the top of the desk. The files went everywhere and Heart looked down panicked.
“Your work!” Heart exclaimed in shock.
“I will always have work.”
“From Dusk till Dawn, that’s all I have.”
“But right now.”
“At this moment I have you.”
“That’s all that matters to me.”
Saint leaned in and began kissing his lips feverishly, hugging him tightly to his chest. Heart moaned responding as fast as he could to keep up with the assault of emotion.
Saint’s heart cracked as he felt Heart’s hands tighten and build tension. He could feel what was coming before it even happened. He wanted to force more love onto Heart to show him how much he cared before he broke his heart and said goodbye. To tell him how desperately panicked he was to say goodbye.
How much tomorrow would kill him.
How moving Heart to another department. How pushing him away was all he could do now.
He wished he could explain why, but he had tried to tell him the truth.
He was upset and hurt that Heart hadn’t believed him.
He wanted to cry out how much he wanted him to have just believed his words, but now it was too late.
‘I know you are going to, but don’t push me away, Heart.’
Saint stopped kissing him and pulled off of Heart just as he gasped and made the motion to shove Saint, but he barely touched the skin on his chest before Saint had already moved out of the way.
“Saint, I could have been anybody. It’s dark, you had no idea who was here. How could you do something like this?” Heart said feebly, and Saint could tell he didn’t mean those words at all but just needed something to get his mind turning and away from what it was really thinking about.
“I asked you if I could fire you? If I could let you go. A few days ago. I said you had time for an answer. I lied.”
“You’re fired as my secretary Heart.”
Heart’s eyes widened as big as saucers and tears filled them almost instantly.
“I am moving you to a different department far away from me.”
“I can’t do this anymore,” Saint said.
He walked away bent down, picked up his shirt from off the floor, and turned away from Heart. Then smiled back at him with that same crushing smile, the one filled with loneliness, hurt, care, desire, hope, and fear. But Heart would never see how much he held in his eyes at that moment if he didn’t lookup.
“I knew it was you, I knew it because it was you,” Saint said. Trying not to let his hurt show.
He listened to Hearts sniffles and knew Heart was breaking down behind him.
“I refuse..” Heart’s voice rang out loudly in the office.
