Sweet CEO’s First Love - Chapter 41
Saint looked down at Heart’s face and smiled at the look of shock and just awe.
Saint had known that as soon as he had said that he was coming, that his father would know how many people he was bringing. He assumed his father knew everything.
Because even if he didn’t, assuming that only led to him having more of an upper hand than he already did on Ngeun, and that was what he needed.
He needed Ngeun to think he had everything under control, all while he never had the reigns at all. It was important because half of today would be bluffing, and if he could keep enough of the truth covering up his lies, he was hoping Ngeun would never know the truth.
And he had the number one thing he already needed.
Heart and Kit here to support him.
“Were you waiting long?” Saint whispered, nuzzling Heart gently with his cheek.
Heart eyes widened at the sweet brief gesture and Saint smiled and scrunched his nose.
“Never stop doing that?”
“Doing what?” Heart asked.
“Numbing my brain, making my heart pound, turning my world upside down.”
“Just never stop any of it.”
Heart flushed.
Saint people are staring heart whined quietly, his eyes shifting around them.
“Let them stare.”
“This doesn’t seem like the type of place where people should do these kinds of things.” Heart whispered.
Saint leaned in and paused above his ear, sitting there and letting his breath tickle his ear for a moment.
“That’s cause it isn’t.” He teased, then pulled away.
Kit walked in with the briefcase and Heart turned around, his face twisting in terror, his entire body squirming. Saint watched him and giggled as he was suddenly reminded of a cat holding onto a mouse.
Heart relaxed the moment he realized it was just Kit.
“Parked the car alright?” Saint asked innocently.
“Now that everything is out in the open, this is really how you two are going to play things?”
Saint wiggled one eyebrow and smiled deviously before bending down and nuzzling his nose into Heart’s neck.
Heart shoved Saint away and Saint let him go gently making sure he wouldn’t get hurt.
“You two disgust me with your public displays of affection. All it does is remind me just how far away my love is from me.” Kit stated, then pushed his glasses up his nose and walked off the way the earlier waitress had gone.
Heart turned to follow him and Saint reached out and pulled him back into his arms.
“What are you doing?” Heart asked, but cuddled in immediately tucking his nose inside Saint’s broad chest. Saint could feel their heartbeats pound together, slightly off sink to each other, but nervous enough to pound into each other’s chest.
“I may not look it, but I am just as terrified as you are.”
“But we can do this,” Saint whispered before pulling away and reluctantly letting go.
Saint wrapped his fingers in between Hearts then nodded at him. Before walking the same way Kit had gone. Heart trailed behind him. Their hands never leaving each other for even a second.
He led Heart through the golden arch and up a beautiful marble and gold staircase and into the golden period.
Saint ignored the wealthiest part of the restaurant. He had been here once before when it first opened it was a pretty place. An idea from a foreign chef to try to bring in the bets and elite of Thailand and other countries nearby. It worked, but frankly; the food was average, and the small portions and good flavors, but nothing he couldn’t get anywhere else, and for the price of what it cost to even be able to enter this golden arch he could fly Heart down to any place in the world in a private jet and let him try the authentic food from those places himself.
‘Hmm, maybe once this is over that could be an option. To fly someplace nice with Heart.’
Saint smirked.
‘Maybe get him to bring a suitcase this time.’
Saint paid attention as Heart lagged behind him and he sucked in a breath as he ignored the world around him and zoned in on that man with the iron gaze sitting ahead of them at the largest table in the middle of the room.
The entire place was cleared out and he had multiple people waiting on him hand and foot. They covered the full length of the long table in every dish option on the gold menu and more.
In front of him was a tiny plate filled with little bite-size sample bits he hadn’t even lifted a finger to get heaped on his plate and he picked one bite up delicately before popping it into his mouth and chewing.
Each bite he took felt like Saint was watching a theatrical performance put on just for him.
Except he wouldn’t let this one stay a tragedy.
‘No, he couldn’t let this one stay a tragedy.’
Saint peeked over to see how Heart was doing and saw that he stood there frozen in place.
Saint could tell how scared and surprised he was just by how quickly Heart’s hand had gone from normal to a clammy cold mess.
Kit stood at the side of the table, staring at his uncle as if he went to a mental war like this on the daily.
‘Then again, he has been my secretary for almost two years now I suppose he has been going to battle every day.’
Saint smirked.
He let go of Heart’s hand and took a few steps forward, placing himself squarely in front of Heart as a physical sign of dominance and protection.
Creating a barrier so that his body formed a barricade of protection that not even Ngeun’s gaze could get through.
Ngeun smirked back at Saint and Saint resisted the urge to curl his lip in disdain as the matured version of his own face mimicked his actions right back at him.
“Did you bring the contract?”
“I assume you did since you are so blatantly forfeiting in front of my very eyes.”
“Or do you think that just because it is us alone in a room here, that it is safe to herald your new relationship to the universe?”
“Wait,”
Ngeun leaned forward, his face twisting into a lazy, passive smile, that made Saint’s skin crawl.
“You didn’t actually forget our little agreement involved you not creating a single scandal for the two years it took to close Amonrat’s important merger deal.”
“Have you been a little too busy, being a whore like your mother? Drinking at all hours, too drunk to remember what responsibilities you have?”
“The deal is over February twenty eighth. It’s November twenty-sixth by my reckoning you are two months and two days short.”
“Did you lose track of time playing with your new toy?”
“I heard that he only cost you one building. Pretty cheap if you ask me.”
“Quite the scandal.”
“Just think, tomorrow’s media can show all the pretty paltry things you two have been doing.”
“Going to the beach, a hotel, going to bars together.”
“Sleeping over at his house.”
“Using your privilege and power to hire him for a job that didn’t exist before you met him. An important job I am sure.”
“You guys have had quite the romantic romance.”
“Third Generation mogul squanders fortune to get in cheap whores pants.”
“Or did you really think that you could keep this from being a scandal?”
“Because I can tell you times are changing, not that fast. But not fast enough to accept that.”
“I am actually honored you brought my daughter-in-law to meet me today. Actually, after I saw the pictures a few months back, I almost thought, wow, I want to play with him too.”
Ngeun chuckled. His chuckle was soft and charming. If the room had been full, it would have charmed all the ladies and made all the men instantaneously jealous.
His suave air of superiority, the way he talked, the way he moved. The way his eyes pierced you from across the room.
Every bit of him, gave off the air of a man of importance, of a higher status than one could ever hope to achieve.
“Are you quite done?” Saint’s icy tone cut through the air like a knife, and Ngeun’s eyebrows shot up in surprise.
