Sweet CEO’s First Love - Chapter 60
Scandal! LEAKED FOOTAGE!
Singer Ring caught in a leaked personal video meant for famous girlfriend Gigi?
Tone sighed in annoyance as he sipped on his coffee. He was out on his balcony over eighteen floors above the world, staring out at the beautiful sunrise, its orange hues cracked across the sky. The clouds that floated across only encumbered the brightness of the growing, ever darker, midnight blue sky.
‘This kid is everywhere I go nowadays,’
‘If I am not stuck seeing him at school as my senior, then I am stuck seeing him everywhere else in my world.’
Tone scoffed, after something like this, he could only hope we were going to see less of the man he hated with all of his guts. He hoped it would all stop.
‘Thank God!’
‘It was honestly like he was running into him at least once every few weeks and saw him almost every day of the week. Somehow, someway, when he looked up, Ring was there, almost, every time.
It was growing on his nerves. It had seriously gotten to be enough, running into that jerk at the same school all the time. And he knew it was impossible for him not to know when Ring was around, since between the reporters or the hoards of girls there was always noise. A hoard of people who clung to and followed Ring constantly, throwing themselves and anything they had at him to get his love and attention.
He slammed his coffee down, too annoyed to drink it now. ‘Sshhhia, I can’t even enjoy my coffee in peace without feeling assaulted by that man.’ Tone seethed and slammed the top of his laptop down in anger.
Saying that asshole, Prince Ring was everywhere, was actually a vast understatement.
He even lived somewhere in this same building as Tone.
Tone tried not to let his exasperation show as he took a deep breath, then very calmly picked his drink back up and took a calming breath. He sipped his Americano and looked out onto the pretty grounds below. This was private housing for the rich and elite. He had told his mom, he didn’t need a private apartment and would do fine at the school dorms. But she had insisted. If it was good enough for Ring, then it was good enough for him.
And now here he was… in the same building as him.
‘Why,’
‘Because his mom thought that anything for Ring was the best thing for her son.’
He wasn’t sure where she had gotten the idea, but he had noticed about six months after he was back in school that almost everything suddenly had to do with Ring.
Everything from his mom.
He wasn’t sure if it had started because Ring came from a long line of money, so he threw it everywhere. Freely and openly, and she maybe wanted that life for him too.
It was hard though because she had never asked if that was what he wanted. So if Ring had a famous ten thousand dollar watch by CRWin launched at midnight.
Ring would wear it in press photos weeks before the launch, no problem.
The hottest parties at his fancy loft in downtown Bangkok, hundreds of people out on the rooftop past curfew. It didn’t matter; it was Ring.
Thailands Prince.
He had been everyone’s Prince since he was four years old. Because his entire life was in the spotlight, the tabloids knew it all.
Which made it easy for newly rich families to copy and emulate Rings style with their own children.
The markets would flood with sudden rushes for fakes or semi inexpensive knockoffs of whatever Ring was wearing. And, ever since he was drafted for the new breakout group as a trainee a year and a half ago, they would buy up any little thing from H.M>L too.
And because these were Ring’s new family, whatever they were wearing or using, was worth having too. Brand names squabbled to book them, and their faces appeared on anything that wasn’t already plastered with Rings’s face. Everything! Nothing was off-limits for their CV cosmetics, phones, eyeglasses, diapers.
Newly rich families like Tone’s were even worse. Between his mom sending stuff all the way from Europe to her insisting on grabbing the same pants Ring wore in that one ad a week ago that she saw on TV and whenever he went to High’s house to visit, he would run into Nine. Who was so hyped about the group he couldn’t stop mentioning that there were only like six months till their official debut? Or Nine’s squealing about how their pre-debut singles. The individual songs released for the three out of the four members were already trending top of the charts.
So Ring surrounded him, his whole world swallowed up by the sheer presence of the boy who turned his stomach.
A daily mish-mosh of living in a place that felt not like home, while wearing clothes that felt like someone else’s, an endless shell of himself. Like he was trying desperately to live someone else’s life, not his own.
But he understood her desperation to make him happy. Her need to feel like she was doing everything she could to make his life the best when she couldn’t be there for him in person.
Because it was her way of showing her love to him from across the world. That no matter how far apart, he was still number one in her heart. When it came down to something like that, how could he even think to refuse?
‘It didn’t matter what he liked or wanted, he reminded, as long as his mom was happy. Because after what happened a year ago, he understood her pain.’
But he couldn’t understand her reasoning, he understood that for her new business. Her customers and business clientele needed to see their wealth and understand their place in this new growingly savvy world. But he didn’t understand why after what had happened. Why did she make such a tremendous step forward in changing the direction their lives were towards?
‘And why, of all people, why did she have to pick Ring to be the one she role-modeled him after?’
It was just one more thing to lump in with the other hundreds of things in the world that he hated about the mega-celebrity Ring.
‘No matter what, though, you need to stop seeing him everywhere you go. Starting after today, let’s stop running into that jerk, Hmmm?’ Tone told himself as he put down his coffee and stood up slowly, straightening his shirt for school.
‘Starting after today.’
‘After because today would be the day where he regretted his life fully. Because today was the day, he was for sure going to end up seeing Ring, and there was no way around it.’
‘It was one month since he ran into him at the bar on their first anniversary of the accident.’
‘One month of hell, and it felt like he was recovering from their incident, reliving it every day.’
‘Do you even think about it? Do you even remember it happened? The face of the person’s life you ruined. I think you do. But I don’t think you care.’
‘Nothing impacts someone like him. To him, he was just another face in the sea of faces. A sea, he was too far above to care existed.’
Every day, for the past month, he had been able to make it in and out of his apartment. Every time without seeing Ring in person, which he was super grateful for, but also aware that eventually his luck was going to end.’
But he knew the day where he would see him outside of what was supposed to be his safe space.
‘Was soon. ‘
‘Was inevitable.’
He threw his jacket on and picked up his backpack, slinging the designer leather bag in cream against his back, the exact one Ring had, then reached for the little turtle bowl Tone had gotten as a gift from Nine on Christmas since they had bonded over their love of turtles, he smirked at it fondly before reaching out and swiping his car keys from the little green hand-painted slightly derpy shell.
His phone bleeped. He pulled it open.
EDITED PICTURES NOT THE REAL RING????
Tone shook his head and sighed, then shoved his phone back into his pocket.
‘Well, at least we know High’s company is fast at sweeping up messes. Shouldn’t have to worry about anything bad happening if Mark gets revealed to the public. Besides, as High said, Ten is married, and the fans know and support it wholly.’
His phone buzzed again. He pulled it back out.
HD photos reveal Ring cheating on Gigi as the real reason for Leak. Exclusive interview with Gigi later tonight!
He sighed, but saw a message from the gang, and clicked on it.
*Heartbeats4U* studygroup in two hours for the upcoming test. DON’T be late. I need to skim your materials since I missed the last class for work.
~HighHopes~ Watch Tone be like super late now. XD
Tone scoffed.
*ISOaTone~ I’m going to come next week now, just to be super helpful.
He chuckled as he walked towards his front door and slid on his shoes. He closed his door and set the lock, then turned, heading for the elevator.
His eyes glued to the phone.
The guys were all making various puns regarding his speed and how it changed in the morning compared to tonight. The elevator dinged, and he got on it the moment the doors opened.
“Ughhh… Shiiaa” He groaned at their teasing.
“Excuse me,” came a familiar haughty voice.
Tone froze instantly.
‘Shiiia!* No way… he knew he was going to run into him at some point today because later was the H.M>L announcement of the final group lineup for the boys. The welcoming ceremony for the two boys.’
‘But it couldn’t be? It really couldn’t be that he was starting his day this way, could it?’
‘No way is that voice he heard night and day, even when he didn’t want to the one who just spoke!’.
‘The voice he could never get out of his head, the voice of the man who he had never had the nerve to confront. His attacker.’
‘Ring.’
*Shia means Shit in Thai. I drew out the word since it is normally pronounced long and dramatically drawn out. So he basically walked intot he elevator and swore out loud. Poor Ring…. Poor Tone.*
