Sweet CEO’s First Love - Chapter 64
Saint snickered. “Shush, you smart ass.”
“Right, list…”
“Item one. Remind Saint to allow his boyfriend to have clothes.”
“Check.” Kit teased.
“Grrr, I swear to god, just take down that list. I want to make sure I don’t upset him this time because he ends up missing something.” Saint started listing them off carefully, ignoring Kit’s taunting snickers on the other end when he listed off the most mundane things.
‘You might laugh Kit but I know you’re just proud of me. I can hear it in your tone. We both know this is the first time since Win died that I am caring for another human being and doing things for them. I forgot how hard it is to think of all the little things that seem obvious to others who are naturally selfless, unlike me. I never was able to come out of my shell and open up to people. To let people in and ask them what they needed, even before Win. Ngeun really saw to that, but after Win, well, I spent five years not caring.’
‘So this list is the biggest thing I have done.’
“Okay, did you get that?” He asked, stopping as he realized he had repeated some things twice while stuck in his musing thoughts.
“Kit, I didn’t hear the keyboard at all. Did you use a pen and paper to take that all down?”
“No.” Kit responded.
“What?”
“Did you write any of the like fifty things I just said, Kit?”
“Nope.” Kit said flatly.
“Really?” Saint asked in disbelief.
‘That had to be the first time Kit had blatantly disobeyed him at the office before.’ He wasn’t exactly sure what to say or do.
Saint clicked the button and the curtain started going back up. When it finished, he caught Kit looking at him, holding up an empty pen pad. Then he turned his computer screen and showed the screen with a YouTube video on it.
Saint growled, a little flustered. ‘It’s really annoying when you can see someone you’re on the phone blatantly ignoring you.’
“Well, aren’t you gonna write any of this down at all then?” He snapped.
“Nope,” He repeated, but then leaned back against his desk and grabbed a folder, then held it up shaking it for Saint to see.
“I already got this stuff set up weeks ago when you first made the meeting with Sungwoo, I had faith you would close the deal and that everything would work out with Ngeun.”
“Oh,” look, Heart just came back from wherever he took off to during our chat. I’ll send him in with the folder now so you can tell him the good news.” Kit said humorously and then hung up on Saint before Saint could get another word in edgewise.
He saw Kit grinned unabashedly to Heart, as he handed Heart the folder, most likely laughing at Saint’s less than composed behavior he had just expressed in the office. When he knew how much Saint usually liked to exhibit a cool and impersonal persona in front of people.
“Dang it, you made my shell crack on purpose. You insufferable oaf.” Saint growled.
Saint clicked the button to make the blinds close to the outer room for privacy, but did it with a perfectly crafted scowl on his face. The one he had spent so long crafting to look as heinously mean as possible, so it seemed like whoever he had been on the phone with had pissed him off. That way they would leave him alone.
He had been using that facial expression as a get out of jail free card for almost two years now. It worked beautifully.
Most of the time he used it when he just needed a moment to himself to think. Sometimes when he actually was slightly miffed and needed a second to just cool down. This time he really just needed the blinds down cause his baby was coming and he didn’t want to plaster his face with kisses while the entire office watched.
Saint wanted to be annoyed with Kit for hanging up on him or even being an insufferable know it all, but he really couldn’t be. Not only was this super convenient and time-saving, but it was amusing and sweet how well Kit knew him. ‘He had already done it all because Kit knew him so well.’
He really couldn’t be mad at that.
It was always nice to be reminded he had someone in his corner. His corner was lonely most of the time, but it seemed that the corner was growing.
He was opening up, letting more people in to share it.
A soft knock on the door interrupted his thoughts and he looked up to see Heart’s head peeking through the door, the door only opened the tiniest of cracks.
Heart looked slightly worried, but also happy. He could see how unsure Heart was. How he was clearly trying to tell if it was his boss or his boyfriend staring at him right now.
Something gold and purple swung below, and it drew his eyes to the pendant as it swung back and forth.
Saint covered his mouth to hide his growing smirk and coughed lightly.
“Come in here now.” he snapped into his work voice, smoothly.
Heart nodded in defeat, then opened the door and started to close it with his free hand.
“What are you holding?” Saint snapped.
Heart jumped a little, still reacting like before they had slept together. The door shut with a bit of a bang as he released it too quickly in his surprise.
He walked forward slowly. Clearly, unsure of himself, while clutching the folder he had been told to bring in.
‘The one that had their romantic getaway to Korea in it.’ Saint thought happily.
He reminded himself to keep a schooled expression. He enjoyed teasing Heart.
Saint didn’t really blame him for his reaction after all, as the boss he had still snapped at Heart quite a few times when he had messed up at work this week.
He felt insanely bad after he did it. But he still wanted Heart to get a good internship score for his grading. It would affect the kinda job he could apply for and get after leaving here if he didn’t get a good score. So even though it was hard, he felt that being firm and fair was the only way to keep things level and honest for scoring at the beginning of the new year.
The truth was, frankly, on the other end of things, he really didn’t care if he was sleeping with a king or his one genuine love. If the person he slept with screwed up his work and caused issues, it still needed reprimanding. It was one of the hardest things to do now, to actually, for real, scold Heart.
On the other hand, he really had to be a bit of a sadist, since he enjoyed doing it. He loved watching Heart’s reactions as they burned through him like molten fire. It was adorable and exciting to see how Heart would react to what he would do. It made his skin sizzle with delight.
Heart stopped in front of the desk and Saint stood up slowly, carefully, as if calculating Heart’s every movement, analyzing it, scrutinizing it the way he used to before. Eyeing his indiscretions.
He leaned in super close and smoothed out his tie before clearing his throat. Heart panicked a little, and Saint felt his heart speeding up at the sight of Heart’s ears flushing.
‘God, you are adorable.’ Saint really couldn’t help it, he loved how his face turned brighter for him, or the way his eyes danced in excitement waiting on Saint’s every move.
Watching Heart as he struggled to try to keep his emotions in check in the workplace had to have easily become his new favorite sport.
The worry, doubt, the attraction, the fire, that flaming hot desire.
It flashed across Heart’s face unabated.
The kid couldn’t hide his dirty thoughts or frankly, his reactions to them if he tried.
Heart closed his eyes and held the folder up as an almost barrier between the two of them. A weak, insignificant barrier to his face and lips.
Saint chuckled as he knew what Heart must be thinking of.
He reminded himself to keep a schooled expression. He enjoyed teasing Heart.
‘Gotta give the man what he wants, it’s only fair since we are dating now.’
Saint pushed the folder down easily. He overcame the tiniest bit of resistance Heart had put up, almost as if Heart was begging him to come at him and pulled him in.
Their lips connected and he felt as Heart melded into his hands like putty. He succumbed easily and hungrily mewed for Saint.
Saint groaned and tore at his lips softly, nipping at them while Heart played catch up.
He slid his hand around Heart’s rear and pinched. Heart moaned and pressed into him, thoroughly distracted.
Saint ever so carefully slipped something behind Heart’s ear. Then he pulled back, cutting the kiss short. As he did,
He whispered, “For you.”
He could tell by his reaction to it. That the words had tickled Heart’s ears and sent delightful shivers down his spine. Heart had said in bed the other morning while petting Tara that he loved when Saint did that, so of course, he had pledged to do it more often.
A great time to put it into good use.
