Sweet CEO’s First Love - Chapter 80
Heart watched the two of them a small smirk on his face.
‘Is this what marriage looked like? What happiness and a family looked like?’
He had never thought about whether he would want that for his life before. It seemed lovely, walking around with the love of your life, happily being able to smile with them every day. To love them and cherish them when the sun woke up, all the way till it went down again. To make each other laugh, to tease each other, and be there when you accidentally upset the other.
Which people were bound to do since life is hard and people are simple.
The image of Saint playing with Mouse popped into his head and he wondered if Saint had ever thought of kids.
He probably hadn’t. Heart knew how hard thinking of a future had been at all for him back when Nguen was torturing his thoughts almost on a daily basis. That ticking time bomb that had been sitting about his head.
But now that Ngeun is gone, things would be returning semi back to normal. When was a good time in the rest of forever to ask someone you cared about? That you loved, and who loved you. Just what kind of future they were looking forward to with you, and what that future would involve?
Heart didn’t know when the right time was for it, but he didn’t feel rushed.
He knew he had so much time ahead of him. Right now he was a student, and his job needed to be focusing on his last two years of Uni.
And maybe not failing miserably before then.
Maybe he could ask Min sometime, and if she was too busy maybe he could ask Kit and Ten. He was sure those two had to have had more than one discussion about things like that. They had already been married for two years after all.
Min laughed at something Tee had said and Heart was pulled out of his thoughts and back to his current surroundings.
He could worry about Saint and His future together later. They had all the time in the world since they were both young and nothing was stopping them from sharing it with each other.
Heart smiled at the two of them.
They really were the storybook example of a perfect match.
The perfect couple that could be plastered across billboards and ads of what a happy life could look like. One of those radiantly bright pregnant women with her equally handsome and happy husband dangling off her arm, proudly displaying how lucky he had been in life. The kinda billboards that made everyone want the product on it, and desire to be those people, like a bad craving.
But behind the scene, there were mood swings, and tears, sappy and petty demands, pouting and whining. But Tee had been handling Min’s mood swings like a champ even when Heart didn’t know what the heck to do or how to help her.
Heart chuckled and the two of them looked at him with interest piqued.
“And why are you laughing?” Min asked curiously.
“I don’t encourage Tee, Min.” Heart said.
Tee gave Heart a look that said, keep joking around on that same topic that I just got her distracted from and I will kick your butt right here, right now.
“I simply sit down and enjoy some popcorn and take out my phone for notes as I stare at the perfect couple. See I blame you guys on why I have such high standards for love.” Heart said.
Tee relaxed and gave Heart a small smile.
Min smiled, brightening up a little bit at that statement. Heart knew just how hard Min had always tried to be the perfect role model, so he knew just how much those words meant to her. And he watched as the wave of emotions passed and she settled back to normal.
“If I don’t find a guy who is willing to accept every form of rejection I throw in his face at least fifteen times, then he is just not good enough. You know.” Heart added cheekily. Tee rolled his eyes and Min snorted.
“Pfft, please,” She couldn’t help but laugh loudly.
Tee gave him a look of gratitude for his silly subject change and watched Min fondly, his eyes twinkling with love and adoration at his soon to be wife.
“As if you could handle rejecting anyone you are too much of a softie. It would tear your heart in two, to reject someone once.” Min stated.
Heart looked at Tee for back up.
“Yeah right, I could totally do it. I could even be the one rejected.” Heart commented, defensively.
Tee stared at Heart and just clicked his tongue.
“We better get him out of here, he has definitely lost it. Poor kid.”
Min chuckled.
“Just grab those two boxes in the living room and follow me to the car, honestly you two.”
Heart stood up and straightened his pants kicking out the bottom cuffs that had managed to curl up and wrinkle on him.
He looked down at the stuffy and grimaced wrinkling up his face a little. He needed to hurry up and get back to his life. But he also needed to remember to be there for Min. This was her once in a lifetime and she had waited fifteen times to be sure that this was the man who loved her always and forever.
She had waited fifteen times to be with the man of her dreams.
She had done all of that because she loved both Tee and Heart equally and now, now it was his job to be there for Tee and Min as she had been there for him.
They were about to become a larger family by two and he knew his sister. she had always planned her entire life meticulously. She used to tell him when he was little that she liked organizing. And while he agreed, she did… Probably to an unhealthy level. She still had only made her life plan include the idea that she would have one child at a time until she had the two total she wanted.
But now, here she was having two at once. He knew she was probably a little frantic inside even if she was keeping calm and bright on the outside.
Heart walked into the living room, picked up the box and followed Tee out the door.
‘You just have to be there for Min for a while. Then her world will be filled with love, light, and laughter.’ The bright future he had been promising to give to her, was finally here, and there was a small part of him that was sad it meant her moving away from him and growing up with her life. But it was everything he had hoped for. Even if it had come sooner than he had expected. It was still what he had been striving for all those months ago when he took the internship in the first place. When he had begged from interview to interview just to get hired so he could have a reference on his resume that would help him land a steady job he could actually get paid with. A job he had planned to go full time with and quit school if necessary.
Heart thought back to how stressed and anxious he had been back then. How desperate, it seemed like years ago not six months. And when he thought back to all those long nights in his room he had stayed up frettingly counting out the numbers in his bank account, the numbers of his schooling costs, and then trying to figure out how much food he could afford to buy this month. It made his head spin with how crazy long ago that felt.
And just how lucky Min and he had become in such a short time.
‘You should stop worrying, everything you had ever wanted for Min is here, all you have to do is smile and hold her hand before you hand her off to Tee.’
He is going to make the rest of her days happy, he would have done anything to make her happy even if it had meant staying in this building for Heart.
Heart had always known deep down inside him that the only thing keeping Min and Tee from being off on their own, happy was him.
Was the thought that Heart would be stuck here in this building day in day out endlessly.
He hadn’t told Min that he was elsewhere all the time at “friends” houses. That he didn’t actually have a place to stay, but he could worry about where he would go later. Min had finally let go.
She had finally stopped worrying for him and clutching to him desperately, too scared to live her life and let him go and live on his own.
This was what she needed most. It hurt. But he couldn’t help but be happy.
This was the first day of the rest of her life.
How could he not be brimming with happiness for her?
Heart bent down, grabbed the box and carried out of the house. “Wait up guys I don’t have a clue where you parked the car!”
