Sweet CEO’s First Love - Chapter 82
Heart stared at Saint looking absolutely flabbergasted at what he may be doing here.
But was very happy the moment Saint’s lips hit his cheek, he couldn’t help but brim with joy as his heart responded to the man he loved.
“What are you doing here? How did you find me?” Heart asked, unable to hide his smile.
“Oh, I didn’t find you. I came to pick up little Mouse here, to go see her uncle. ”
“Her real uncle, not me,” he stated, clarifying.
“I offered since I called May Li back to the office to fix some minor details once she is done here. When she told me that Ten offered to watch her, I said I would take her there since I was close by dropping off a file at a client and it would probably be bad for Ten to come out into public right now.”
“Since Ten was too busy to come here and was also a little worried that if he showed up here, it might create a commotion. Since the announcement stage, H.M>L has really blown up online.”
Heart stood there, taking a second to process everything as Mouse held out her hands for Saint and Saint gladly took her from Heart’s now spaghetti-like arms.
“Wait, what? Ten is Mouse’s uncle?”
Mouse giggled.
“Of course Ten is my uncle, my mommy is his big sister.”
Saint chuckled. “Didn’t you ever wonder why she called me uncle Saint?”
Heart stood there, staring like an idiot.
“I figured it was because you were a lot older than her,” he said.
Saint chuckled. “Then why wouldn’t she call you Uncle Heart?” Saint asked, poking Heart in the forehead gently.
Heart scratched the back of his head, grinning. “Ah, good point.”
“Wow, Nong Mouse looks so very pretty today. Mouse wore a cute little white dress with blush pink trim all around the neckline, arm line, and hem of the skirt.”
The fabric itself was patterned with cute little matching pink hearts, and every few hearts was a cute little drawing of a mouse. The dress went down to her knees, and her long jet black hair was smoothed down with a pretty pink headband in it. She wore matching white sparkly dress shoes and a ring and a bracelet. Around the waist of the dress was a little pink waistband with a little pink bow on the right hip. She looked posh and fancy, a bit more grown-up today while still being cute and adorable.
“You look so confused, Heart.” Saint pointed out, noticing Heart couldn’t quite wrap his brain around what was going on, or how the two were related. Since May Li clearly had a fully Chinese name, while Ten had a fully Thai name.
“If it helps you any, Ten is half Chinese and was the first one born here in Thailand before his family moved back to China. His mom decided that having a Thai name would make Thailand feel more like home to him.”
“Ah, that helps so much.” Heart said, laughing and grinning large enough to make his dimples show.
Mouse reached out and poked one.
“Hey don’t touch those, those are mine,” Saint said, pulling her finger back.
Heart glanced at Saint raising an eyebrow.
“Who said they are yours? They are mine,” he stated glaring at Saint as Saint tried to possessively claim his dimples as his toys.
Mouse chuckled.
“Anyway, are you ready to go see Ten?” Saint asked, changing the topic before Heart could continue to protest.
Mouse cheered instantly. It was clear to Heart that Mouse really liked her uncles.
“Awe, look at the happy couple standing out here, you two look good together,” Min commented coming out of the back and pointing back and forth between Saint and Heart who stood close by each other. Heart turned and walked over, held out his hand, and Min took it with a knowing little eyebrow raise at Heart. She took his arm even though she didn’t need the slightest bit of help.
“Did you call him over here because you got tired of me playing queen for the day?” Min whispered playfully.
“Not a chance, if I was going to call for backup I would have done it at the silverware store. Who even needs to choose from silverware to eat with, it’s all just a spoon and a fork?” He whispered back.
Min chuckled.
“Thank you, sweetie, for treating me like a queen for a day.” She stated a bit louder and less conspiratory.
Mouse stared at the two of them, mouth gaping open.
“Wow, there are two of you now.”
Saint laughed. “I know that was my feeling the first time I saw them too. That is Min, she is Heart’s older sister, you can just call her Auntie Min.”
“Does that mean I can finally have another auntie?” Mouse asked.
“Another auntie? Min and Heart looked at her confused.
She nodded earnestly.
“Mhmm, I have so many uncles, but I only have auntie Fa Ying. I like all my uncles, but having another Auntie would be nice.”
Min giggled, “I would be happy to be your auntie then. We girls have to stick together. All these boys are everywhere, aren’t they? And they always do so many boy things.”
Min shook her head as if she were exasperated, and Mouse nodded slowly agreeing.
“If you are auntie now… does that mean P’Heart is my uncle now too?” Mouse asked.
Saint shook his head no. “No, he is not allowed to be your uncle until he marries into the family,” Saint said sneakily, staring at Heart and raising his eyebrows.
Heart sucked back a breath knowing, exactly, what he was meaning but not wanting to say anything to indulge Saint’s naughty clever hints.
Min snickered off from the side, and Heart flushed, realizing his sister had caught onto the playful little jab Saint had issued too.
Heart cleared his throat and looked at Mouse.
“Another Auntie would be so great, wouldn’t it?”
Mouse nodded, willingly continuing her convo from before onward.
“Auntie, you look exactly like P’ Heart…” Mouse stated.
Mouse shook her head. “I didn’t think anyone could be as pretty as P’Heart and his dimples, but now there are two, life sure isn’t fair.”
Saint patted her leg gently as he bounced her in his arms then hugged her, patting her back carefully. “It’s good you know that early on so that you are not disappointed when you meet other girls prettier than Nong Mouse is.”
She frowned. “I should have known. There are so many cute and pretty things it only makes sense there are cute and pretty people too.
Heart smacked Saint lightly on the shoulder. “What are you teaching the poor kid? She is very beautiful and special. Don’t be teaching her to grow disheartened and to start comparing herself to others so early on.” Heart said clicking his tongue in disapproval.
Saint chuckled. “I am only teaching her to be realistic.”
Min chuckled. “Tee says he is on his way soon. It’s been a few days since you hung out with anyone, why don’t you go back and hang out with your boyfriend?”
Heart shook his head no, very strong about his decision.
“Oh, tut, I will be fine, like I said Tee is coming,” Min stated.
“But I came with you. I would feel bad if I left you all alone.”
“Shoo, or I will force Saint to kidnap you,” Min stated sternly pushing Heart towards Saint.
Heart gave her one last look, and she shooed him glaring at him seriously before crossing her arms.
“Stay, and I will make you eat more cake. She said all of these are ours, or she just throws them away. I am not letting them throw away a perfectly good cake. So they are coming home with us. I am feeding some to Tee when I get home. So do you want to stay and share his fate?” Min asked.
“No, no that’s okay. I will go with Saint and Mouse.”
Min smiled charmingly now that she had gotten her way.
“Nong Mouse, take good care of my little brother for me okay?” Min said sweetly.
Mouse waved her hand goodbye at Min but nodded her agreement.
“I will!.” She promised.
Heart followed Saint and Mouse out to the street and watched carefully before stepping out into traffic to put Nong into the backseat.
Saint put her down before getting into the driver’s side.
Heart helped Mouse with her seatbelt before shutting the door, walking around, and getting into the passenger side.
“Buckle up guys, and let’s go have some fun, hmm,” Saint said with a devious, playful smirk flitting across his gorgeously handsome face.
Heart sighed, knowing he was in for trouble. He had actually been unsure how to get back to his daily life after everything. Saint hadn’t been pestering him to come back to the office and instead had given him an indefinite break, and he really hadn’t had any reason to leave home outside of school, so once school finished, he had just continued to stay home minding his own business.
But really in his heart, he knew he wouldn’t be able to keep putting off reality. He had people and relationships that needed attention no matter how anti-social he felt. No matter how much he tried to avoid making anyone feel stressed or burdened by his random mood swings of sadness.
Still here was Saint. His first time seeing him, and maybe a first time to let go of his feelings, but he was sitting there unsure how to move forward, how to state how he was feeling, and now he had a cute little excuse in the back of the car. As long as he could cling to it everything should be okay, right?
The reality of things was he was scared of having people come close to him, of wrecking those relationships and then losing them, just like he had lost people before, just like he had lost Num.
“Hmm,” Heart blinked up at Saint confused realizing Saint had said something
“I promised that I would stay by your side, that I would always be here.”
“I keep my promises.”
“Always and I meant it, Heart.”
“You don’t need to hide your pain and sadness from me, not ever. I can hold you and be there for you for more than just happiness. I like all of you Heart, including all emotional baggage that may come too. You took me with mine right?”
Heart nodded, then turned to look at Mouse.
“Let’s drop her off, then I think you are right.. I think I would love to talk about it.”
