Sweet CEO’s First Love - Chapter 84
Ten put Mouse down the moment they got inside the door and Heart stood there looking around. Nothing had changed since he had left it a few days ago, but it still felt odd to come back to the place he had cried his heart out. Actually, it felt odd to be anywhere right now, everywhere held a memory of something to him. Of him breaking down, of him laughing, crying. Anything. The world was filled with memories so it made sense that every place would have something attached to them. Still, he hadn’t meant for it to be so hard to be anywhere.
That was the one good thing about the fact that he had been at a cake shop for three hours today. That place hadn’t held any memories till today. Now, whenever he would see their sign it would. And those memories were a bit nausea-inducing.
Heart turned to look at Ten, that thought had reminded him of something.
“So your older sister is Mouse’s mom. How come you guys never told me?” Heart asked.
Ten grabbed the remote for the tv, pat the couch cushion gently and Mouse went running plopped herself down in front of it and he turned the tv on to some cartoons.
“Well..” He started.
“You never asked for that information, and I deemed it rather impertinent to the issues at hand, besides it makes Saint just seem all the more agreeable when it looks like he is taking care of a complete strangers’ child because he is gentle and loving. Doesn’t it?” Kit said, stepping out from his office and pulling a rather large black shiny roll suitcase behind him. He wore long silver plaid pants and a bright apple green blazer with a light pink pocket square tucked into it. He had on a pair of silver-rimmed round glasses today and his longer mousy brown hair was gelled back styled neatly to fall behind his ears and down to the nape of his neck.
Heart would think it odd that Kit was wearing a full suit in the comfort of his own home on a Saturday. But after all the time he had spent here, it seemed like a natural everyday kinda Kit thing to him.
Heart stared at Kit mouth agape.
‘I… I don’t even know what to say to that.’
“It was all a lie.” Heart stated.
“No. He really is a bit soft underneath all that stone you know, and I was attempting to ever so carefully huck him at you.”
“You are filled with overblossuming kindness,” Saint said dryly.
“You were attempting to throw me at Heart hmm?”
“Of course, we’ve been over this. I wanted my coffee breaks back. Besides, you liked him well enough back then.” Kit said and walked into the kitchen, picked up a mug and sipped at whatever, the contents inside it were.
Ten smirked and lifted his dark pink shirt that said Cheese on the front of it and scratched at his belly finding all of this very amusing. Once he was done he tucked the bottom of his shirt into the matching bright green pants he was wearing. They looked like they could be a set, their two outfits a couple outfit of sorts, even though one was a blazer while the other was clearly a casual pair of jeans.
“He is lying to both of you, he was practically a fountain of tears talking about how much his baby Saint had grown and was ready to be a man now.”
Saint walked up and smacked Ten lightly on the back of his head.
“Kitten, I would believe you if it were not for the fact that I know I paid this man an extra sixty thousand baht a month just to keep interrupting me anytime he thought I was falling too hard and fast for Heart.”
Heart stood there, mouth agape.
“Excuse me? What?”
The three of them turned and looked at Heart, as if they were finally remembering he was there.
“I’m sorry you did what? All those times I nearly had my heart come out of my chest and attack me where I stood… All those times I almost died from embarrassment when Kit would walk in on us doing something… Something…” Heart stalled, unable to continue as his face turned red.
“You paid him to do it!”
Kit smirked. “Money Ten is very happy to have for shopping on this trip, right Kitten?” Kit said.
Ten walked over to Kit and Kit wrapped his arm around him and Ten cuddled his head into his chest. “Yup, thanks for that Heart. Don’t feel too bad. It was because Saint was just a little scared baby.” Ten responded.
Heart blinked unsure how to process all this new information.
Kit and Ten chuckled and Heart turned to Saint.
“Waa? Why?… Why not just engage in those activities with me?” Heart asked.
‘Why didn’t he just stay away if he didn’t want to have a boyfriend, if he didn’t want to fall for me, if he didn’t want anything but sex, why not just ask for it and when it didn’t happen why not just give up. Why engage in anything at all?’ Heart thought.
Kit snorted “Like he could even try to stop himself. I have never seen anyone fall so hard so fast. I swear at first it was infatuation, lust, desire. I dunno but he really couldn’t help himself. It was like he was compelled towards you and it only got worse the more time he spent with you, not better.” Kit stated.
Heart looked over at Saint who had sat down beside Mouse. He turned to look at Heart, their eyes locking on each other as he pets Mouse’s hair slowly.
“You enthralled my every whim and thought,” Saint admitted not denying a single thing.
Heart flushed with embarrassment
Ten slow clapped stepping out of Kit’s arms and looking up at Kit.
“Wow it’s astounding, isn’t it. Like how does he even have the ability to be so smooth and with no shame at all?” Ten said looking from Kit to Saint and back again, flabbergasted, incredulous, shock written across his face.
“Oi, I swear it’s the Nitpattanasai men! You are all slick, sweet-talking swindlers who know how to steal a person’s heart and soul. Crooked dangerous men, the lot of you.” Ten stated.
“I agree wholeheartedly, I feel utterly swindled right now.” Heart stated, nodding his agreement.
Ten chuckled. “Well, I suppose I can’t be too upset, it’s never steered me wrong in any of the cases. In my case I got a beautiful man to love, and even though he works a bit too much for his own good, he comes back with vacation money.” Ten teased.
“Now who is a smooth talker?” Kit said with a sparkle in his eye, and Heart sighed. Realizing they had probably talked about this before, that their couple teasing was probably filled with a million inside jokes and references that he would never understand. He had noticed when staying here, there was always this underlying current of electricity that played out beneath every moment and situation; all without any exchanges of words. Yet they seemed to just understand each other so naturally, and he wondered what the heck that kinda bond and connection felt like.
He glared at the two of them carefully.
“You both are smooth talkers.” Saint piped up, and everyone turned to look at Saint.
“You’re one to talk” the three of them said in unison.
Saint scoffed and turned back to watching tv with Mouse. Heart just shook his head.
‘Ten was right. Those dang Nitpattanasai men, they’re all treacherous smooth talkers but wonderful sweet gems, and they really did know how to capture your heart.’
Heart watched Saint carefully before walking over and leaning over the back of the couch. He swished his hair to the side and noticed that Saint had given him a glance but hadn’t turned his head.
“Am I going to be a kidnapped bride again? Or do I get to pack for this trip? How much time do we have before we have to leave?” Heart asked curiously how much time Saint had thought to give him this time. Since Saint was notorious for forgetting that other people may not have houses in other places or endless credit cards to buy things with.
Saint leaned his head down beside Heart’s tilting it so that they were face to face but only a few inches away from each other.
“Kit and Ten are leaving today in about six hours, but I wasn’t sure if you were still going to want to go because of everything, I kept everything as it was just in case… but I wasn’t sure so I thought I could always push things back more. I can just get our tickets exchanged if that doesn’t work for you. I would prefer for you to be happy over having to get there on the exact same flight as them. It’s in business class anyway. The seats are individual, it’s not like we’ll stand up, walk over to their area just to talk to them the entire time we are on the flight. So we can change it if you want.”
If he stayed he would only be following Min around being unhelpful like today. He had been back home for three days and other than helping Tee take stuff over to the other house he had been virtually useless. Min’s been working hard to find things for him to do and to keep him busy so he wasn’t just sitting there lying around in that room thinking of Num and the life he had left behind with her. Or sit there moping about how much has changed in a year and how much was still changing. She was purposefully working so hard to keep him from that. He could stay and contemplate and groan for longer but the reality was he didn’t really have any need to stay and just keep making Min’s life harder as she sat there stressed about planning a wedding, moving to a new house, carrying two babies and then on top of it keeping her little brother from falling into a state of depression.
“No, we can go today..” Heart stated coming to terms inside himself and making a final decision and deciding not to back down.
