Sweet Darling Wife: Just Kiss Me Goodbye, Mr. President! - Chapter 57
Chapter 57: Have You Come to Marry That Fool?
That kid did not run away when he was discovered by Tang Li this time around.
“Have you come to marry that fool?” The kid suddenly asked her.
Tang Li went over to the window and retorted, “How would you know why I’m here?”
The boy glanced at her with his black eyes before he replied nonchalantly, “I heard Fatty Xia mentioned it before. His son likes to beat people up. You’ll suffer if you marry him.”
“So, were you asking me to leave just now by shooting at me with a toy gun?”
The boy continued eating his beef jerky and did not deny that.
At that moment, a woman called out to him. “Jingtian.”
“I’m coming!” The boy turned around.
Then, he disappeared from the window-sill.
She knew that there was something wrong with Xia Zhengguo’s son long ago. Now that a kid had reminded her like that, she could not help but feel touched even though her heart had turned quite cold after her reincarnation.
A boy who had never met her was treating her nicely. But, her own father was the one who was going to push her into a fire pit, claiming that he was doing it for her sake.
It was rather ironic.
Li Wenyan reached the villa when Tang Li got out of the washroom. They were talking with Xia Zhengguo and his wife by the porch.
Madam Xia smiled immediately when she saw Tang Li.
“Ah Li seems to be shy!” She took hold of Tang Li’s hand. It seemed to be quite warm and sweet.
Tang Li bit her lower lip slightly.
It seemed like she was indeed shy.
However, Tang Li appeared to be quite childish with the dirt on her white dress compared to Li Yuan’er in her nice dress by Ou Yangqian’s side.
When everyone had taken their seats at the dining table, Xia Zhengguo ordered the servant beside him. “Go and ask the young master to come down for dinner.”
“Come, Ah Li! Come and sit by my side.” Madam Xia waved at Tang Li.
Tang Li seemed to not notice the two empty seats and went over to sit by Madam Xia obediently.
After a short while, the servant came down and informed them that the young master did not want to have his meal.
“Didn’t he know that everybody is waiting for him?” Xia Zhengguo’s face darkened. “Go and call him again. Force him to come even if you have to tie him up!”
Madam Xia stopped the servant. “I’ll go.”
It was the day for her son to meet her future daughter-in-law. Everything must go on smoothly.
“He’s twenty-seven years old now but he still acts like a kid.” Madam Xia smiled and said, “Go ahead and eat first. I’ll go upstairs and take a look. He might be playing games there.”
For Tang Li, everything that had happened in front of her was just like old times.
She had experienced it before in her former life.
It was as expected.
Li Yuan’er stood up first. “I’ll go with my elder sister.”
Then, she smiled brightly. “I like how you have designed your villa, Uncle Xia. I want to take a look at the first floor too. We’ll call Brother Xia Lang to come and eat with us.”
Xia Zhengguo’s facial expression was better now. He smiled broadly before pointing at Li Yuan’er and saying to Li Wenyan, “Your daughter is indeed exceptional. Not only she is good at acting, she’s also a genius designer.”
“Don’t praise her.” Li Wenyan was delighted too. “If you say something like that, she’ll be smug.”
Ou Yangqian smiled and stared at her daughter. “Don’t mess around.”
Li Yuan’er stuck out her tongue. Then, she came around to Tang Li.
“Come! Let’s go and get him!” Tang Li could not help but follow through with Li Yuan’er’s acting when Li Yuan’er grabbed onto her hand. She allowed her to lead her away from the dining room.
When they reached the first floor, Tang Li shook away Li Yuan’er’s hand immediately as if it was contaminated with the virus.
Tang Li smirked when she saw the look of disdain on Li Yuan’er’s face.
In her former life, Li Yuan’er had led her upstairs to Xia Lang’s bedroom to invite him for dinner.
But…
The door was closed from the outside the minute she stepped into the bedroom.
Xia Lang had serious autism. The drapes in his room were always tightly drawn. If he was suddenly disturbed, he would act recklessly just like a monster that had lost control.
