Swordswoman: The Few Unrecorded Decades - Chapter 60
On the border entrance of the Hong Empire, a little girl had casually slipped in. As a trained martial artist, her speed was even faster than the guards’ sight. They did not notice and failed to collect an entrance fee on her.
She manages to blend into the crowd and soon arrived at the Hong Palace gate. Several people are flocking in, waiting for their turn to go inside.
“Hello Mister!” her original child-voice greeted the old guard as she handed the letter to him.
She looked at the guard with innocent eyes while the man examines the letter. Then the guard called a servant to accompany her.
“Your Majesty, Report! The Emperor of He Empire had sent a little girl.” the servant announced as they arrived right outside the door where Emperor Hong Te is working.
“Send her in.” another servant responded from the other side of the door.
Jia Liuha walks inside and bowed her head. Emperor Hong Te carefully looked at her and said, “Little girl, what business did Emperor He Mo is up to? Why did he send you here?”
“Your Majesty, I am Jia Liuha from Wulin Temple. My family has been killed by bad guys. I hope your majesty will give me a chance to work and stay?”
“This–” Emperor Hong Te peered closely, tilted his head, and paused for a few breaths before he continues speaking, “You could go to see my daughter. Someone, bring this girl to Princess Hong Mei.”
Jia Liuha gestured a customary bow before a servant guided her out of the hall.
“The Princess does not want to be disturbed. You can wait in the garden and enjoy the flowers. She will attend to you once she is done with her painting.” A personal maid told them when they reached the pavilion where Princess Hong Mei is living.
“Alright, this way little girl.” the servant guiding her pointed the path towards the garden.
Jia Liuha walks animatedly behind the servant. Her eyes are everywhere. The flowers she sees were exquisite and the landscape of this garden is built in modern style. Jia Liuha could not help but gape at the view. Everything is arranged meticulously!
Meanwhile, inside the pavilion, Princess Hong Mei is just about to finish her painting. She gave a final touch of the brush on her canvas and a satisfactory smile blossoms on her lips. Even the personal maids behind are amazed by her skills in painting.
“Send this to the manager of the magazine.” Princess Hong Mei instructed and stood up.
In the garden, Princess Hong Mei saw that Jia Liuha was alone and busy admiring the flowers. She cleared her throat and the sound instantly startled the girl.
As Jia Liuha snapped her head towards her, Princess Hong Mei’s eyes widened. The familiar face of this little girl stunned her for a moment.
